Great Read
Grace and Landen were each others’s destiny. Grace was an orphan girl left at the home with a nite and a necklace. The lady who ran the orphanage was Mrs. Green and she became like a mother to Grace.
Landen was from the police department in New York City. He was sent undercover to catch a gang headed for Texas to set up a group and rob the bank of Dallas. One of the gang was sweet on Grace and wanted her to live with him without marriage but she would not. He set fire to the orphanage to force her to live with him. She refused him and he threatened her. Mrs. Green advised her to take the train to Dallas and find her parents. She had limited funds so she stowed away in rage luggage car where Landen found her. Then the fun and excitement began to New Orleans and then onto a ship bound for Texas. A must read to go on this exciting train with the two who become love birds.

An absolutely interesting and entertaining and thrilling adventure of mystery and romance
I love the wonderful characters and story line with all its exciting twists and unexpected turns throughout the amazing journey. Lots of interesting twists and entertaining mysterious events that put the reader into a thrilling journey. I absolutely love this beautiful and inspiring love story. Excellent characters and inspiring happy ending. Definitely a must read and I highly recommend this amazing book.

This story was my first reading of a book written by Lilah Rivers. I found her writing style to be similar to the late Emilie Loring, whose books I used to read when I was a teenager in the 1970s. A Fateful Encounter on the Train was engaging and I loved the main characters, Grace and Landen. The story had many twists and turns to keep the reader guessing, and kept my interest throughout the entire book. Give this book by Lilah Rivers a try, and you will be entertained for quite a few hours of good reading.

This was a very nice read by Lilah Rivers. So much happens in this book. First an orphan is transformed into a beautiful young lady, and man is transferred into a rich young man. Grace, the orphan is looking for her parents, yet finds the deputy Landen, who needs her help to capture a gang of outlaws. Grace finds her adventure in Landen. I am sure you will enjoy this book very much.

Exciting but silly in places
This story is intense in places. The characters get silly in different situations. The story has a lot going for it, the characters had no real depth. The storyline and plot are well written and delivered well. There are several page turning events. I feel more depth to the characters would have made this an excellent story, but it is only good.

Exciting adventure
I really enjoyed this book. Love Grace's servant's heart. She is truly lovely. I especially loved Landen & Grace's interactions. They are an outstanding team in every way. Evelyn was a nice touch too. She was a good connection. A good read from start to finish. A page turner.

An Encounter of Mystery and Joy
There are so much surprises and enlightenment that I hated to see it end. What a great story of suspense and surprise Love. Thank you Lilah Rivers you have an wonderful ability to make your words seem to come off the page and allows me to imagine it all as real.

Tough Love
Life can be unfair, but not hopeless. Grace had a rough life as an orphan but she still had joy. With no way to see Gods Hand she went her own way. But God had His Hand all over her. She found love in the most unromantic spot on earth. With danger at every stop, she used her head and trudged on. A beautiful story.

Faith and Love on the Frontier series

Exciting!
This was a very fun exciting book! Grace might be my favorite character ever! Such a fun personality and quick whit are the best! Her banter with Landed and the way she jumps right in to help him are fantastic and so much fun! Great book!

Great Story
This was a really good book. When Grace left New York for Dallas she never expected to end up having a grand adventure on the way. She also didn't expect to fall in love with Landen while helping him to catch a some criminals. This really was a good story.

This was one of the best books by Lilah Rivers and I have read many if not all of her books. Had everything in iit love and drama. Hope she writes more books because I will purchase every one of them.

This is a very unique story, and I loved it! Mystery and intrigue, fate and miracles, so much good about this book. I will not go into detail since some of the other reviews have done that. Suffice it to say that this is a very good book which I enjoyed immensely. I hope you do as well. As always, Lilah Rivers writes a great story!

I loved this story! A young, coming of age, orphan leaves NYC for Dallas, TX. Meeting and aided a deputy chasing the bad guys. Love ❤️ and adventure ensues. This is a stand alone story with a HEA ending.
