With the beloved dogs from P. D. Eastman's classic, Go, Dog. Go!, toddlers can explore the world of color in this interactive adaptation of the original book. Flaps, wheels, and slide tabs let children make a white dog get black spots, the traffic light change from red to green, and dogs of all colors zoom around in cars. Simple and sturdy interactive elements will make this new format a hit with parents and little ones alike!
Philip Dey "Phil" Eastman was an American screenwriter, children's author, and illustrator. As an author, he is known primarily as P. D. Eastman. A protégé of Theodor Geisel (Dr. Seuss), Eastman wrote many books for children, in his own distinct style under the Dr. Seuss brand of Random House, many of which were in the Beginner Books series.
From 1936 to 1941, Eastman worked at the story department of Walt Disney Productions. From 1941 to 1943 he worked at the story department of Warner Bros. Cartoons. From 1945 to 1952 he worked in the story department of United Productions of America. He contributed to the "Private Snafu" World War II training films, wrote for the animation Mr. Magoo, and the Gerald McBoing-Boing series for UPA.
This is a fun book for toddlers and preschoolers that teaches colors and has lots of flaps to lift and wheels to turn. It's based on the characters from the classic book, Go, Dog. Go! and the illustrations are cartoonish and colorful.
The moving parts on the book I read seem very sturdy and it looks like it would withstand a lot of abuse by a young child. I think our girls would have loved it when they were younger. I certainly thought it was fun.
Holy cow what a great book! Dials that spin, flaps that lift, dogs that swim! What could be better????? Babies watch out! This book will get you hooked on reading! All the dogs are going to a dog party: brilliant. (sorry for the spoiler.)

I bought this for my son because he is a big fan of Go Dog Go. Not a very dense book as far as text, but good for a toddler as a fun toy. Lots of moving pieces, and he loves the page where the dogs jump into the water and change colors.
Sadly this book from the library had been through the ringer. Some of the flaps had been pulled off and the spinners didn't work, but if it was new and in good shape it would have been a good book.
This book is really fun for kids, and even for adults. The story is fun, and the style of the book makes it even better. It is much less boring, and more easy to get through this way. I can see this particularly appealing to little kids. The style of the book could make it easier to read to little kids.
Like others reviewed, our book from the library was super beat up to the point where we couldn't even enjoy it the way it was meant to be enjoyed. Beside that, some of the text just seemed rude. One page says "Do you like my hat?" and you can flip a flap that says "No, I do not./Yes, I do." lol what the heck?
This book was filled with false information, you don´t stop at different color lights, there just Christmas lights some person forgot to take care of(duh). And if I see that green bird again trying to stop my car, he is going to meet my friends at KFC. # go away green bird #don´t judge me I need to finish my reading goal
This is a good book for young children, but I also think it will make a fabulous early reader book. It has an interactive element, which is rewarding for kids of all ages. So, this is one of those books that if you buy early, will get years of reading time.
Very interactive and simple book that helps with colors. At 12 months, Au loves the interactive portions and lifting the flaps. She's very attentive to when the stoplight "changes" color.
