At 365 pages, the Book of Enoch is the longest of all the books Michael has written and contains over fifty illustrations that help to communicate the peculiar nature of the subject matter. The analysis within this book is presented in two very distinct sections. The first section is a detailed commentary on the Book of the Watchers, commonly referred to as the First Book of Enoch. The format of this section will be familiar to my readers. The first verse that Enoch wrote states that his book was meant to bless the lives of those who would live in the last days. Enoch saw the days of tribulation that would precede the Second Coming of Christ, as well as the purging of the wicked from off of the face of the Earth. As such, the Book of Enoch constitutes a divine survival guide for the saints of the last days, written by one of the most famous prophets of all time. The prophecies contained within Enoch's writings are both astounding and timely. They are unfolding before our eyes, and in the halls of congress. The second half of this book contains a detailed analysis of some of history's strangest events and conspiracy theories. The material is of such a peculiar nature that I struggled mightily as to whether or not I dared to publish it. In the end, I concluded that if Enoch wrote his book to bless the Saints living in the last days, I could venture to do the same. That being said, because of the high strangeness of this book's content, it will only be available on my website, not on Amazon like all my other books. This book does not contain all of the puzzle pieces to the last days, but after reading it, my hope is that you will realize that there are far more pieces to this puzzle than most have ever imagined. This book suggests that the world is about to have its socks blown off by events that are not on most people's radar. Yes, the coming days will be scary, but they will also be awesome!
3.5 stars. This book went so many places I never anticipated. I read it alongside Charles’ translation of The Book of Enoch. This isn’t necessary, as Rush includes it in his commentary. I happened to have a copy of it already.
First of all, I have to mention how much I love the art on the cover.
This was a helpful and interesting read that will require much more thought than I put into it on this first hurried read. Rush uses the Book of Enoch as a frame for some pretty fantastic ideas, which works because the author of the Book of Enoch saw and spoke of some fantastic things. I think Rush excels when he highlights patterns and synthesizes ancient and modern writings. He makes connections most people don’t see. We need people who can think in that way. It’s how we expand ideas.
Part two of the book veers from this structure into patterns less explicitly found in the Book of Enoch. It’s also where his writing style suffers. I got very tired of all the “as such” phrases. Stylistic and vocabulary choices aside, the ideas and connections Rush has put forward are worthy of discussion among theories of the way Heavenly Father’s plan has and will unfold. I’m glad I read it, and am continuing to finish the Book of Enoch on my own. I do not agree with everything Rush has written, nor do I interpret his sources in quite the same ways, but that is exactly why it’s needed. (I also need more time to think about these things.) More ideas help us come to the truth, especially when accompanied by the Holy Ghost, who tells us how things really are and how they really will be.
Awesome book. The authors research, inclusions, and sourcing of such niche information is incredible. Gives a much needed perspective and gets you thinking.
The cross-reference materials from the ancient to the modern-day that Michael Rush expands upon help the reader better understand The Book of Enoch. Michael's knowledge from his research, wisdom, and sense of humor make his writing style enjoyable to take part in.
I listened to the audio version several times before reading this book; I highly recommend that the reader give it a few rounds. It is truly remarkable, with much to consider.
This book is incredible!! The things Enoch saw and prophesied is just to great for words and Michael Rush does it Justice. Thank you thank you! I will be rereading this book and waiting for the second to come out.
