This volume really ramps up the spice factor. Hunter and Charlotte are getting much more comfortable in their new relationship. And they’re in the sweet spot where they can’t keep their hands off one another. But with that comes the complication of keeping things a secret from their parents. Which means there are plenty of lies and misunderstandings. There’s more of Chantel and Huntley, too. It’s been a while since we’ve had a scene with them, but this one was worth the wait. Looking forward to seeing how things go with their parents and how Erica will continue to make things difficult.

Stepbrother Series - Vol 9 . . .
Erica, Hunter's interfering ex, continues to make life miserable for Hunter and Charlotte. She posts pictures to embarrass Charlotte. Will the cheerleaders Angela and Clarissa try to help Charlotte with getting Erica to back off? Hunter and Charlotte’s parents have all of us in shock at their being so totally oblivious as to what’s going on with their offspring! They think they are both dating other people and try to show their support of those relationships (that don’t exist)! Charlotte does have one victory to be proud of – she has finally written a sexy scene in her novel, so evidently she’s catching on to how those scenes should flow now that she has the proper inspiration! This episode promises to keep readers anxiously sitting on the edge of their seat waiting to see all the outcomes of everything that is going on. Take your best guess, and don’t miss an exciting hilarious episode!

Charlotte's first ever steamy scene for her book and she crushes it!
Yikes! The 2 sets of parents are beginning to go out to dinner together. Worse they're including Charlotte and Hunter. But even worse than that, they think Charlotte is dating Teddy and Hunter is dating Jenny. The topper is when both sets of parents talk to the kids about birth control on the way home from dinner. Awkward!
Hunter's ex had the stolen photo blown up to poster size and plastered all over the campus. The cheerleaders thought up an explanation that placated the dean.
Charlie finally has enough money for a laptop and returns to her writing. She writes her first ever steamy scene. Her practice with Hunter sure is improving her writing ability!

They say you should write about what you know, which is a bit of a problem for our heroine. And our hero is not really helping matters any by teasing her. Things are actually going pretty well, but how long can the keep it a secret?
This is book nine of the series. The story was previously publishing on Vella and is now being offered in book format.
This is a contemporary romance with a step theme. The story is well written and easy to read with lots of that wonderful step dynamics that I have found in previous works by this author. The characters are great, realistic and fun. They have great chemistry, even if it takes them a while to recognize it. There is also plenty of steamy fun to be had, so what is not to like?
Highly recommended.

I have such a push and pull with this series. I like the story overall and the characters. I like how the relationship is developing. But it's really hard for me to read. Charlotte's voice with all the um, uh "..." is so frustrating. I wish it would ease up a bit as she becomes more comfortable. Maybe she's not there yet, but I am really struggling with having to try and read what is going on through all her hesitations and pauses.

Well thank goodness for self involved, clueless parents, as they are oblivious to all. Charlotte and Hunter are officially dating, yet they are keeping it all a secret for now, or until Hunter’s ex blows the lid off of it all. Like that Charlotte is opening up more, but feel that she should be past all the um, um and be more talkative not just in her head.

Wow, the lies are getting complicated
This installment was so silly and complicated. Teddy is just fantastic with his ridiculous ignorance. The boy is so sweet, but just slow. It’s great that Charlotte has so many friends now. And I love that Hunter is so far gone for Charlotte.🥰

Things are getting a little complicated but still heating up for Hunter and Charlotte! I just love these characters and they make for a fun and entertaining story! Very much enjoyed this one and can’t wait for more!.

Hunter and Charlie's adventure continues. Keeping their relationship from their parents just got harder when they think that Hunter is dating Jenny and Charlie is dating Teddy. Trying to pull it off is harder than it seems. I love following their adventure.

Oh boy! These books just keep getting better. I love the way this series is written by Mia Clark. It’s a little hard to deal with Hunter’s ex, the book describes her as evil. I would describe her as a self absorbed phycho. The rest of the book is so fun to read! Can’t wait till the next one.
