This book is a reasonably good introduction to CBTE both for those who have never heard of it and those who have had some exposure and want to further their understanding. The one striking shortcoming of the book is the surprising absence of the church's voice. I assume that this book could have been much better if there had been collaboration with pastors who have been deeply involved in CBTE. As it stands, the book will probably be more interesting to those coming to CBTE from the academic side of learning. Readers coming to the subject from the side of the church will probably be somewhat disappointed with what they find.

A bold excellent introduction to a ground breaking approach to theological education. Although CBTE is already producing great results, I wonder if challenges from AI will make this method of education by mentor even more valuable?
