This is an excellent book that I wish had been available when I was a young mother. Not only is it useful for the parents of toddlers, but also for the parents of teens and young adults who are exploring sexuality and relationships. Actually, they agree that this is a topic that will most likely need to be addressed in elementary school, but at a level more suitable for their age. Children are much more aware of sex than I was as a child. BUT, sex is certainly not the only topic the book covers.

Just as a young child asks WHY?, you may be wondering why some forms of discipline or conversation are important. They explain the importance. I also love the personal stories shared. Don't think this book is just for parents, though. As a great-grandparent, I saw the wisdom imparted and how I can make up a difference, but there was something even more important. The final chapter left me with HOPE.

Regrets over mistakes made or seeing an adult child who has drifted (or ran) from God can cause deep grief and guilt. Jimmy Evans encourages the reader not to believe it's too late if your child is no longer a child. He shares a story of a man who accepted Christ as his Savior in his 80s. Decades after his death, a father's prayers for his son were answered! No matter if your baby is still a baby or is now a grandparent, KEEP PRAYING.

Fighting for the Soul of Your Child” is a thoughtful and meaningful guide for parents seeking their children with a strong spiritual foundation. The book offers a well-rounded approach, providing understanding, inspiration, and practical tools to assist parents in their parenting journey.

While educating and nurturing our children when they were young, my husband and I agreed to raise and discipline them in faith, understanding, and love. Having a solid spiritual foundation was so important, and we confidently raised them up in the way they should go. Many of the principles shared in the guide resonate with my own experiences and serves as a source of encouragement for parents on similar paths.

In a world that is constantly evolving, the book highlights the importance of building a strong moral and spiritual foundation in children. It offers valuable principles, inspirations, and reassurances, providing much-needed support for parents who want to navigate the challenges of parenting within the context of their faith.

The World we live in is a hard and tough World to live in without having the LOVE of Jesus. A Major Parenting Goal in our household has always been to raise our Boys to be Upstanding God Fearing Men. Our boys are now Young Adults and it truly has been a tough Journey to help them navigate the World. They were raised in the Church since birth and have been around Encouraging Pastors and Adults, including myself and my husband, but without God it almost seemed impossible.

I REALLY LOVE the insight and encouragement throughout this wonderful book Fighting for the Soul of Your Child by Jimmy and Karen Evans. I know I gained some insightful info from here that I intend to implement into our household. My "Young Adult Men" will always need nurturing from us parents and they all still live at home, so the parenting really hasn't ended. A couple of our boys have very different opinions on Worldly issues and it is disheartening at times. I know as children grow up their thoughts change, but there is still time to instill in them and FIGHT for their SOULS!! I HIGHLY recommend this book for Parents at all Stages of Parenting! FANTASTIC BOOK!

This book is okay but not a strong parenting book. This is a book written by humans. It is not God’s Word. It does include a good bit of the Bible to illustrate and support points/ideas. I believe that there are some nuggets of very good information here. There are also some that I wouldn’t touch or entertain the idea of.

If you are looking for stories that help you know you haven’t messed up beyond repair and there is hope in the future, you’ll find it here. There is some real talk about tough topics in the Battlefields section. There is information on creating and keeping strong marriages or facing life as a single parent. There is a lot of information on blended families. Good information on worldview is included and it is the best chapter in the book, in my opinion. There are some very good quotes in this book and biblical passages are used to support the ideas presented.

All of this has great bits and pieces to it that can really benefit someone looking for these things. So, this is not a book to just totally disregard but it would not be a resource I would recommend.

I received a copy of the book from the publisher for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.

Could not finish it simply because of the writing style. It feels like reading a boring textbook that's very repetitive on each point it wants to make. Wasn't for me.

This book is not perfect, but like anything written by mere humans, read it, sift through it and keep what is of value to you. There are FANTASTIC, valuable parenting tips and truths in this book.

Fighting for the Soul of Your Child: A Practical Guide to Biblical Parenting is a great guide for parents who are searching for tips and advice that is centered around the Bible. The Evans team gives the tools needed for parents to use. I found them to be inspiring. There were many that I plan on incorporating on my own journey while raising a pre teen and a young teen.

I am giving Fighting for the Soul of Your Child: A Practical Guide to Biblical Parenting five stars. I highly recommend it for readers who are looking for a parenting advice book based on faith. I think it would make a perfect gift.

I received a copy of Evans’ Fighting for the Soul of Your Child: A Practical Guide to Biblical Parenting from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
