In the business of matchmaking and can’t find love? That’s me.
It’s always fun to find that special someone for our client, you know, the one they ride off into the sunset with.
But me? I just get burned by the sun, stung by bees, and wind up sea sick from the boat ride.
Unfortunately my twin sister and I made a pact when we were kids regarding this ‘love’ thing.
If we were unmarried at thirty, we’d really go ham on trying to find Mr. Right.
So thirty showed up. Go figure. But my should-be husband is apparently lost in the universe and refuses to stop and ask for directions.
Lucky for me, my firm (the matchmaking one) is going to make me go through the process of finding my forever guy for a documentary that’ll prove we’re legitimate.
I’d rather swim in the sewer, but that wasn’t an option.
The minute I start our ‘dating in the dark’ process, my mind opens to something I’ve never realized.
My best friend, the one that has been there all along, suddenly looked perfect. And hot.
Disturbing for sure. But soooo hot.
Now I’m stuck in the middle. Falling for my blind date and my best friend at the same time.
When it rains it pours. Apparently, men.
I have no clue who I should choose or even how I should do it.
Love has pushed me out for thirty years and now it’s decided to pull me in.
Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.

Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.

Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.
Hope works for SightUnseen, a dating company with a difference. Porter is her best friend, but he's also in love with her. When she signs up with the company, he does, too, but he doesn't tell her. I loved this story. I truly cared about Hope and Porter, was fully engaged with their lives, and couldn't wait to read more. Excellent.
Porter O’Brien has just sold his instant voice translating earbuds patent he spent years developing for a very large sum of money, and he feels adrift, so he calls his best friend Hope Holland, then he calls his brother Foster, both of whom work for Sight Unseen, a matchmaking agency with a successful algorithm that centers on dating someone in the dark until after the fifth date. Unfortunately, there has been bad press lately about their product, so they decide to build positive press by producing a documentary that features a matched couple from the beginning to the end of the process, and Hope has been asked to play one of the roles. When Porter hears the news, he finally confesses his love for Hope to Foster, so they decide to enter him as her match. The lines blur as “Olivia” and “Parker” get to know each other during their dates because Hope has a hard time distinguishing between Porter and Parker, and it doesn’t help one bit when she and Porter, after a ten-year friendship decide to have a one-night stand together.
Wow, talk about a dramatic setup! Weston Parker continues to blow me away with his creativity with both the plot and the characters. His smooth style lures in readers so much that we feel a little bit voyeuristic in being privy to such an intimate relationship, but not so much that we don’t feverishly continue to turn the pages.
And, what a treat to be reconnected with a Sharp and Grace, Hope’s sister, from You and Me, Baby, the first book in this Match Me Up series. While each book can be read as a standalone, if you have not already, read them in sequence for a richer experience. So grab a glass of your favorite beverage and a copy of both, then snuggle into your favorite couch or chair and enjoy these beautiful stories.
I received this book as an ARC reviewer and voluntarily leave my honest opinion.
“Pull Me In” by Weston Parker is the second book in the ‘Match Me Up’ series, but it can easily be read and enjoyed as a standalone story. It’s a friend-to-lovers tale brimming with emotion and punctuated by humor.
Porter has just had a massive business success, selling his patent for more millions than he’d ever imagined. Hundreds of millions. The first thing he does? He calls his best friend, Hope, and his brother, Foster. Hope and Foster both work for Sight Unseen. It’s a matchmaking agency that doesn’t let the couples it pairs off see one another until the fifth date. The company needs to make a documentary series tracking one of its own employees as they go through the process, in an effort to combat some recent bad press. When Porter finds out that person will be Hope, he panics. What if she falls in love with someone else? He confesses his love for her to his brother and begs for help. Foster runs them both through the matchmaking algorithm and finds that order and Hope are an extraordinary match. He agrees to help Porter… And it all quickly gets intense when Hope starts having deep feelings for the man she’s meeting in the dark and also for her best friend, Porter.
The author does a great job helping us experience the complicated emotions of the lead characters. Their friendship is so precious to them that they both fear leaving the friend zone and possibly risking that friendship. But when the door opens to it, the romantic chemistry between them that’s been simmering for so long boils over and can’t be contained. Still, there’s got to be a reckoning when finds out that her Sight Unseen match and her best friend are one and the same. An array of excellent secondary characters added depth and dimension to the story. Overall, this book was an entertaining, emotional roller coaster and a wonderful ride that definitely pulled me in!
Another great story, this one has lots of twists and turns, what a web we weave of lies and deceit, can they find the truth between them? This is the latest in the “Match me up’ series where people sign up to Sight Unseen to be matched with the love of their life by going on a series of up to five actual blind dates with the same person who they do t get to see until the last date! A former client of the agency has alleged that it’s all a set up and to counter act bad press it’s decided that they will make a documentary following a couple going through the process. The owner of Sight Unseen wants the person in the documentary to be someone she trusts who believes in the process and asks an employee, Hope, to feature. Hope isn’t sure about whether to take this step and asks, Porter, who has been her best friend for years, whether she should do this. He advises her to go for it, but later panics, as he has had feelings for her for years, and persuades his brother, who also works for Sight Unseen, to get him matched up with Hope and be her date in the dark! There are so many pitfalls with this plan, will the match work, how will Hope feel when she finds out the truth, how will it look in the documentary when they realise Hope and Parker already knew each other? You will have to read it to the end to figure out how this story will end! Another great read which I received as an ARC in return for this honest review

What a swoon-worthy book! Porter has been in love with Hope for as long as he's known her. Hope has had a crush on her best friend, Porter, for about as long. They both thought they were never going to get the other. Or that Hope was too good for Porter and vice-versa.
Hope works for a "blind-dating" agency that is currently getting some bad press. Her boss likes the idea of following someone around with a camera crew to see how the operation works. And she wants Hope to be the person to do the blind-dating.
Porter is beside himself. This could be his chance to finally get her to see him (well not see him). He asks his brother (who works at the same company) to make it that Porter and Hope are matched.
Poor Hope. She's falling for the blind-date guy (named Parker - cute Weston) and Porter. She almost breaks it off with Parker because of her feelings (and the awesome sex she and Porter had).
The book feels a lot like You've Got Mail. Where one party knows the truth and the other is oblivious. But the friendship and romance between the two characters is off the charts sizzling. You will enjoy this book from start to finish!!
This is the second story I have read in this series although each one has been a standalone. Porter is a multi-millionaire having recently sold a patent has now time on his hands and money to spend. His best friend is Hope and she signs up at the dating agency where she works to help them out by producing a documentary in the dating process. I could only groan when Porter signs up as her blind date. This could only end badly! Both Porter and Hope are likeable characters and get on extremely well as friends, so the story flies along as an easy to read and lighthearted at times. That said, the anxiety that Porter feels is described really well and his worries about any fallout of his deception come across too. Hope also has worries about her love for Parker. Following Porter admitting to being Parker, Hope’s chats with her sister, then friend Terri, followed by her meeting up with Porter were so emotional to read and very moving. They got their HEA in the end but it was touch and go for a time. Definitely recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
I received this book as an ARC reviewer and voluntarily leave my honest opinion.
First and foremost I was not expecting how this book will turn out to be in the very beginning, but when I started reading it I could not put it down and had to finish it as quickly as I could. Two best friends falling for each other without telling each other just to not ruin their friendship. Porter who took the risk to date Hope at the show of Sight Unseen so that no-one can date her and he will not lose her forever. So this is where the story begin, I love how passionate Porter is towards Hope and how she struggles between her date and Porter (which she does not know they are the same person).
As usual Weston Parker did it again, from best friend to lover with lots of emotion, love and inner fight between the main characters. I also love how you mention my small island despite not knowing where I come from. As soon as I read Mauritius I was like yay this book is definitely for me. Therefore, I highly recommend reading this book as you will not be disappointed.
I think this is the first time I’ve given a book a 3 out of 5 star rating in awhile. I saw a romance novel with a man’s name on it and got drawn to it for that reason right away. The authors about me mentioned him co-writing with his sister so that had me even more intrigued.
I don’t know why I thought this book would be 5 starts or even have a great climax. I was totally digging the storyline until the couple had sex. This pair is almost 30 but the way it was written, it felt like I was reading the story of two adolescents.
The first sexy scene in between one of the couples really had me stopping reading the book because I couldn’t take it seriously anymore and I couldn’t stop laughing. Earth to authors—NO WOMAN refers to her vagina as a MOUND. ESPECIALLY NOT DURING SEX! Like yes, you read that right! It was so cringy I waited a whole day to finish the book.
If it wasn’t for this and the juvenile behavior of the main characters I’d probably push for 5. I’m a sucker for tropes and this was no different!
Porter and Hope are the very best of friends and have been forever. Porter has been in love with Hope since the day he met her. Hope works for Sight Unseen and to save face for the company she agrees to sign up for the program to prove to everyone that the company is the real deal. Porter being the best friend he is totally supports Hope in this journey but realizes she could find her dream man and he realizes he has to do something so he has his brother who also works for Sight Unseen sign him up as well to see if they are a match which they are. What will happen when Hope falls for her blind date and then she realizes she has feeling for Porter. What will happen when she finds out the truth. Oh my gosh I loved this book!!! The storyline sucked me right in and I couldn’t put it down. Loved both Porter and Hope and the love they have as friends and how they find their way to happiness. This is one of my favorite books in this series. Thanks, Weston, for allowing me an arc copy of this book and I am freely leaving my honest review.
This is book two of this series, told in dual first person POV and leaves you with a HEA. This friends to lovers story will have you swooning and fanning yourself all at the same time.
I loved Porter and Hope. It was interesting to see how their story unfolded and the lengths that Porter went to, not only to help Hope and her the company she loved working for, but also to get Hope to see how much he truly loved and cared for her. It was fun to see Hope battle who she wanted to be with and how she acted with the different situations.
I was hoping that her book was next and I wasn’t disappointed. I hope that we get more of this series because I am loving how these characters are finding love and what they feel and experience while doing it.
I received an advanced readers copy via BookFunnel. These thoughts and opinions are my own and left voluntarily after reading for my own personal enjoyment.
This is an excellent connected story to You And Me Baby. I loved the realistic characters and how they interacted. I was looking forward to read how Hope and Porter were going to move from best friends to a couple. Hope was an account manager at Sight Unseen, a match-making company but she wasn’t a believer for herself. She is skeptical about love because of previous bad relationships. Porter is her ride or die best friend since college. Their friendship made me smile because of how easy and supportive they are of each other. Their conversations are so raw, honest and at times hilarious. Porter has been in love with Hope all this time but life always got in the way of him making a move. It was an unexpected event that happened that brought them together. Their love story is touching, heartwarming, and heart wrenching as the events happened. This book is a must read, enjoy.
I received this book as an ARC from Bookfunnel for my honest review.
The book starts with Porter and Hope, who are best friends, talking about Porter selling his patent that he had been working on for a long time. Hope at the beginning only thinks of Porter as her best friend while Porter always had bigger feelings than that for her. After having some bad publicity to come up at her job, Hope allows a video crew to record her going on dates where she doesn't see who she is dating, only hear them. Porter knows that he doesn't want anyone going on those dates except him, so he changes his voice to be able to seem like he is another person. Hope starts to feels conflicts because she starts to have stronger feelings for Porter and the guy, Parker, she has been on the dates with. Once she finds out that it was Porter all along, quote a few things happen before they have their happily ever after.

Oh my gosh! I am so in love with the Sight Unseen family now. At the end of “You And Me, Baby” I knew I wanted to know about everyone involved in this process and I’m so excited to get to come back to this world. Porter and Hope were perfect together, they just needed the Sight Unseen magic to get beyond all the “friend zone” boundaries they’d wrapped their relationship up in. Well, the boundaries Hope had put in place. Porter knew what he wanted and set about making it happen. I loved seeing Hope fall for his Sight Unseen alter ego And, my poor bruised heart struggled to beat when Porter started to realize just how badly he may have messed up. I am in love with these characters and their whole supporting cast. I can’t wait to see what the next book will bring. I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.
Sight Unseen is a different kind of dating app. Their algorithms promise to find you your perfect match, but they help clients stay out of their own way by having the first 4 meetings be blind dates. Literally - blindfolds, dark rooms, fake names. If you make it to the 5th date, you get to the big reveal and can finally meet your match face-to-face. They had great success, which was threatened by a disgruntled client who claimed it was all fake.
Which is how Hope, one of the company's employees, becomes its newest client. Her dating experience was going to be all on video so they could document the validity and authenticity of the process. It's also how Porter finds himself signing up, despite his loud protests that it wasn't for him. Tired of being stuck in the friend zone and afraid of losing Hope, he ends up as Hope's match. Their dates in the dark become more complicated as their friendship in real life evolves as well. I really enjoyed their story, even the inevitable blow up when she figured out that Porter was "Parker," her blind date.
You have Porter who just made millions selling his tech design and he has been in love with his best friend Hope since college. Hope works for one of the most popular dating agencies Sight Unseen and doesn't "see" Porter for anything other than a friend. Sight Unseen has been getting very bad press. Hope comes up with a plan to do a docu series showing that the process is not faked. Her boss suggests she should be the women subject. Porter cannot risk losing her, so her puts himself in the system and has his brother match them. You have to read to see how this plays out. Their chemistry is off the charts in the dark and once they recognize it the light. This is book two in a series, which made me worry I was going to feel like I was missing something, but this can definitely be read as a stand alone. Follow along as Hope and Porter navigate their way to their HEA.
I absolutely loved reading this book. Porter has been in love with his best friend Hope since the first time he saw her but she has never seen him that way. Hope works at the Sight Unseen dating agency and when the company gets some bad publicity she is pushed into signing up and letting the cameras follow the process. Porter knows that he will lose her forever if she goes through with it so gets his brother Foster (who also works at the company) to sign him up as her match. The dating goes well but soon both have doubts. She's falling for both her blind date and her best friend and he's feeling guilty for being her blind date without her knowledge. Can they get their HEA or will he lose his friend and love of his life with his deception. Loved the ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Hope and Porter's story will pull you in right at the beginning. They're best friends, and Porter's had a secret crush on her for the past ten years. He's always wanted to act on his feelings, but the timing was always off. She works at a dating agency with a twist. You can't see your date and only hear their voice. Porter, a billionaire, thinks he's come up with the perfect answer. He'll date and woo her with a 'changed voice' so she won't recognize him. This is a cute book with some twists and drama. Well written and hard to put down. Told from a dual POV. It was fun watching all the lengths Porter went to win her heart. She struggled with choices, but the book ends with an HEA and no cliffhanger. I received a free arc via the author, and I voluntarily chose to review it.
Yes, I got pulled into this story, and I’m sure you will, too.
Porter just sold his patent, and now he’s just short of being a billionaire. Hope is Porter’s best friend for ten years and works with Porter’s brother, Foster, at a dating agency, Sight Unseen. This company has a unique way of getting to know your match. Porter gets right in the middle of it to win Hope’s heart. But did the two of them have each other’s hearts all along? Did Hope have her walls up so high nobody could reach it? Read to find out. You won’t be disappointed in the least. Rules are broken, deceit is ever present, steam is emitted, employee’s jobs are on the line and love is in the air. Who can resist all these things for a great read?
I really liked the interactions between Hope and her best friend, Porter. He has been in love with her for 10 years, but the timing was never right. She always seemed to have a boyfriend and he didn't want to risk losing her as a friend by forcing the issue. When Hope signs up with the dating service that employs her, Porter feels compelled to sign up (unbeknownst to her) and be matched with her so as not to risk losing her to some random guy with whom she might be matched. Great drama ensues and Weston explores the feelings of both main characters in such depth that I really felt invested in their dilemmas. It was a wonderful book that I highly recommend to everyone.
Hope and Porter are friends and have both been in love with the other for ages, but neither has let the other know. They keep each other in the "friends zone". But then Porter decides to enlist the help of his brother in ensuring he and Hope are "matched" by the "blind-dating" agency that he and Hope both work at when Hope's boss decides it a good idea for her to be matched and be followed by around a camera crew to see how their operation works.
This could be Porter's one chance, will his plan work? What follows is an enjoyable and well-written story.
I read an ARC of this book and am voluntarily writing my review
It was…ok. I dunno. Porter seemed sweet enough but Hope was…annoying. I don’t know if it was because she made mountains out of molehills and refused to listen to logic and reason in spite of everyone she ever talks to explaining things in plain English or the fact that she seems to finally understand what they are telling her, putting things into perspective and she STILL chooses to keep her head up her butt and purposely tortures herself over nonsense she has no reason to feel guilty about or upset over. And then Porter…my God man, grow a pair and SPEAK UP. I’ve no idea how their friends and family tolerated either one of them.
5 stars I received a free copy of the steamy Seattle set novel Pull Me In: A Match Me Up Novel by Weston Parker, and this review was given freely.
An unrequired love and best friends to more romance where bad press, some insider information, and some sibling help results in a happy ending. Fearing he would lose his best friend and the woman he loves when Sight Unseen’s skeptical client manager Hope finds herself the subject of her newly suggested marketing campaign to counteract bad press, new multimillionaire Porter secretly asks his brother to pair him with Hope.
This is a REALLY good book from Westin Parker, about two long time besties who are involved in a new, very different and somewhat complicated dating “show”. One of the besties realized his true feelings and devised a plan so the other won’t fall for someone else! I don’t want to give anything away, but you will love this book! I could not put it down and read it in one session / one day! Have fun! I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this review. I give it 5+++ stars!!!
This book was really good. The company where Hope works, Sight Unseen, is an interesting twist on blind dates. The concept really helped make the story a lot of fun and kept things interesting. The banter and interaction between Hope and Porter was fun and lively. The book held my attention well and I would definitely recommend for a fun and sweet romance. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I received an advance review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
Book two in the series brings Hope and Porter's story. It's a best friends to lovers romance with a twist. The author does a great job building the story and tells it in the dual POV which shows the deep emotions from both of them. He brings drama, anxiety and fear along with the romance. It's well written with perfectly painted scenes, moves fluidly and is a terrific story and I enjoyed reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Hope and Porter will have you in their corner as you read their story which happens to be the second book in this series. Porter and Hope are best friends, but he has had feelings for her for a long time. When she decides to become a subject at work to find a date Porter makes plans with his brother who also works with Hope to be the man she is matched with. What happens next is one intriguing journey for these two. It is a well written story that kept me glued to their drama. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
It is miserable when your love is not returned. Even after 10 years as best friends, Hope still has Porter in the friend zone. He has been in love with her all this time, but didn’t want to lose her friendship if a relationship didn’t work out. It seems like everybody knows they’re in love with each other, except for Hope. What a great book of waiting and waiting and waiting for your true love to return your love. Such a great book. They have to work through so many issues to be together, but in the end, it is so worth it.
I didn't realize it was part of a series when I skimmed the blurb. But in this case, I didn't feel lost. Some series have you feeling that way in the FIRST book.
It was interesting but not quite enough to read in one sitting. These kind of books are predictable so it's easy to figure out how the journey will go. I still might check out the first book.
If you like this trope, you'll probably like it. I'll let everyone else do the typical review thing.
Would I read again? I wouldn't totally rule it out but it's not high on the list.
This was such a gut wrenching and sweet romance! Porter and Hope are dating each other 'in the dark' - but Hope doesn't know that "Parker" is actually her best friend Porter! Porter has loved Hope since day one, but has been stuck in the friend zone. He gets a chance to win her heart, but he does it as Parker. This was a really well written book, full of angst, questions, and of course, love! I really enjoyed it.
I received this book as an ARC for my voluntary, unbiased review.
