I was gifted an advanced copy this book in exchange for an honest review.

It all starts with Wynter and Zaydon, on their Christmas wedding day. Wynter is missing her soon to be husband and cannot find her best friend / maid of honor. She decides she wants to see her fiancé but instead, what she finds is betrayal from her two most important people. When she becomes the runaway bride, she crashes right into her soon to be father in law which also happens to be her own father’s best friend and someone she grew up with. They run off together, drunkenly get married and decide to temporarily stick it out for business purposes. The story then goes on to play out during their time as a married couple.

I love the idea of the story. I do wish however, that her new lover (Zaydon’s daddy) was not also her dad’s best friend and that he didn’t only call her “Sugarplum” or “wife”. Those things made it a little cringe for me. If it had been a partial stranger I feel it would have been much hotter.

I feel like there was a lot of repeating the same thing over and over. Almost like the author was trying to drive the point across by saying something a few times in different ways. I think this made the book more of a slow burn.

Throughout the book, Wynter is ridiculously dramatic and annoying. Like a tantruming teen girl. It was hard to get attached to either character because they were so cringy. Without a connection and all of the cringe, I struggled to finish. I think it’s safe to say, this wasn’t the book for me.

I really struggled with wanting to write this review or not, but ultimately, I agreed to when signing up for it.

**This is just my personal opinion.**

I received this as an ARC, and was SO excited. (My first one!) The tropes and synopsis were so promising….

Immediately impression was it reads like a teenage diary. I thought, ok, I can get over that. Then there was punny winter/holiday humor, fine I can appreciate a theme and some laughs.

Then they made it to the cruise ship. She’s suddenly prudish when seeing the toys his company makes?? Then the moment he unnecessarily started threatening to unalive the restaurant staff without provocation, had me thinking “I won’t finish this”, and then he he said “make it snappy” to the waiter, and that was my final straw.

The age gap and relationship could have been good, but the backstory of being her dead dads bff, and has coveted her since she was an ACTUAL child was a little 🥴

I’ve read many dark themes, even some taboo themes, Ex’s dad included, but this just didn’t hit with me.

This was a hot and spicy book, but I had a hard time with the age gap and how long he’d been interested in her.

Wynter was all set to have her perfect Christmas Daydream wedding when she found her fiancé cheating on her with her best friend. And on the way out, ran into his father, Nick, who helped her escape and gave her what she thought she needed.

Only to wake up hung over the next morning with an extra ring on her finger as well as Nick’s. So he proposes they stay married for 30 days to make it seem more legitimate for their businesses. But as time goes on, it feels less like a fake marriage and more like a real one. That is, until the truth comes out, and Wynter’s heartbroken.

Wynter and Nick get their happy ending in this standalone book.

Putting aside the age-gap issue I had, this was a fun book following them while they fell in love. And I could see how the lie came across from her ex even worse than if Nick had told her. However, my initial thought was the marriage had to last 31 days so he could take all her money like her ex was planning. And while I didn’t feel it detracted from the story too much, there were some timing inconsistencies in the last few chapters.

I received an advance review copy for free from the author and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I recieved this as an ARC review; and unfortunately 42% into the book I had to DNF. I may come back and try to finish as I have not actually DNF'd a book before.

I felt like it was too much all at once. Dad's best friend who's liked her for a long time, but also her exes dad who she happened to run into as she was fleeing her wedding...because she found her soon to be husband and best friend sleeping together; and scheming a plan while the best friend is pregnant. Oh, let's not forget she owns a pole something or other and he owns a sex toy company. But wait, they got drunk and ended up hitched on on her honeymoon cruise...and they have to lie for 30 days for "the sake" of their businesses.

That was all in less than the first half of the book. The FMC is whiny, bratty and jumps off the deep end. The MC comes off as a creepy old man who watched her swimming.

I didn't like it, at all. Maybe someone else will? And again, I never DNF...so, I may come back to this book...but it really put me into a reading slump.

I want to start this review by saying that I love a good age gap romance, ex's dad, blah, blah, blah....but this one was so cringy that I DNFed about 50% of the way through. It takes a lot for me to DNF a book, because I feel so bad. I know the amount of time and love that goes into writing, but this one just fell so flat.

The FMC was constantly putting down herself worth and that bothered me so much. She was so immature, and I didn't see any character development from her at all. The MMC seemed like he was very supportive of her and would got out of his way to make her and I really liked that about him, but I was kept feeling like he could have done better.

This book was not for me.

This book was definitely the steamiest book I read this year. I should have expected that considering the MCs are a pole dancing studios owner and an adult toy company designer/owner but even with that, it was a little too much for me but might not be for someone else.

This story had so much potential. The perfect story line (forbidden romance), runaway bride, holiday puns, and lots of smut! It felt like so many thoughts in so many different places. It just didn’t “marry” well together!
So Wynter catches her husband to be with her maid of honor. Not only are they having sex but they are having a baby together. Wynter runs away and into her future father-in-law, Nick. He whisks her away. They get drunk, and she wakes up on her honeymoon married to him.
Sounds like an AMAZING story, right?
Come to find out, Nick (her so-called husband now) owns a very successful sex toy business. At this point, the book it goes downhill fast. The rest of the book is pretty much we shouldn’t sleep together because this was a mistake to a porn flick.
Now, I enjoy reading smut. But, this is soooo much. It was overkill.
The End was so rushed!
So dissatisfied and disappointed.

↬ thoughts

I have a bad habit of not DNFing books once I start to dislike them, and unless they get real bad I don't. Probably should have given up sooner.

Was it entertaining? A bit, until it got to the point I just read it to finish it.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The story had great potential I loved the idea of the father of the bride scooping her up and taking her for himself.

I could have even dealt with the corny Christmas references but the “hubby” and “darling wife” every other sentence annoyed me. I think the writing did not do the story justice and I found myself skipping through the Zaydon rants or “oh no my dads best friend” it just became to repetitive.

The writing was very cringey

Here’s one example
Wynter is worried about her bad breath (first world problems right)

To which Nick replies,
“Nonsense, there’s nothing bad about my wife,” Nick
breathed as he pecked my lips and bit my lower lip. Only the minx in you that comes out at night.”

And that’s the dirty talk. 🤢🤢

And then we get a rushed ending and I feel like I got robbed like the Friday after a next which by the way is the only Christmas movie this book didn’t try to add in someway or another.

The plot was promising and ticked all my boxes but I found Wynter to be difficult to like.

She seems immature and chaotic as she flipped back and forth in her feelings towards Nick and their relationship which was frustrating. She jumped to conclusions and over thought little things that created unnecessary and frustrating conflicts that dragged out for a lot of the book.

There was some good spice and twists I didn't see coming. The end felt rushed but mercifully there was a happily ever after.

I love that she owns her own pole dancing business and he owns a sex toy business they just go so well together in the story.
I enjoyed the why you seen how their relationship build and form an all in relationship where they were willing to give every aspect of themselves to each other with the undoubtable trust throughout the build up of the story.
The age gap wasn’t an issue in itself but I did have a few feelings about him lusting for her as she grew up around him.
But looking past that I really enjoyed the characters and storytelling of this book and would recommend. I’d love to know how they and the rest of the characters were afterwards and where their stories took them.

This book was AMAZING! It is a little different than what I normally read (the dad’s best friend aspect) but it was really great!

Wynter Ravenhurst was all set to marry the love of her life—Zaydon Frost on Christmas Day. She soon discovers Zaydon cheating on her with her maid of honor/best friend Jill. Turns out Zaydon got Jill pregnant. When Wynter discovers she has been played she runs out and straight into the arms of Zaydon’s father—Nick Frost. They get drunk and wind up married. They go on a cruise and realize they need to see the marriage through—both of their successful business depend on it. Towards the end you get a huge twist you didn’t see coming,I was stressed lol. The epilogue was great to.

I enjoyed how the story starts out, but by the end I was ready for it be over and started skimming through. I could’ve gone without the constant “my wife” and “my hubby/husband” every time they talked to each other..

That betrayal though? I wanted to deck Nick in the throat 😑

Smut was 10/10 though 🌶️

It is a good read up until you get to the sexual parts , it reminds me very much of 50 shades of grey (except the sex party bit) and it is very predictable. You just know a fake marriage will end up as a real one but the one thing that did surprise me was that Nick lied to Wynter about them being married and it was all to do with his career . But you just knew he fell in love with her for real. You just know what’s going to happen before it does . I still enjoyed it though ☺️

Spice: ??? didn't make it that far

I wanted to like Frostfully Yours so much! The premise of the book sounded so interesting and it's what caught my attention to sign up for the ARC.
Girl is getting married.

Girl catches her husband-to-be in the act with another woman.
Girl runs and ends up falling for the most unexpected person...her would-be husband's older yet hotter dad.

In the end, however, this reads more like a porno fanfic that is more deserving of being kept in the drafts or lost in the cloud.

Wynter is a billionaire heiress of a pole-dancing studio (huh?) who is set to marry the love of her life, Zaydon Frost, on Christmas Eve. This picture perfect winter wonderland wedding is quickly shifted onto the ice block when Wynter finds her soon-to-be husband snowballs deep in her best friend/maid-of-honor just mere minutes before they were set to exchange vows and live happily ever after. Completely distraught, Wynter finds herself running away from what was supposed to be a Married Christmas and into the strong, mature, silver fox that is Nick Frost.
That's right, who best to comfort Wynter on what was supposed to be the best day of her life, now her worst day, than the father of her would be husband?

I think what irked me most about this book was that the continuity in the small details were off, Wynter was such an un-relatable character and turned out to be more annoying than a pebble in your shoe, and let's not take away the fact that not only is Nick, Zaydon's dad, but he was also Wynter's late father's bestie????

Look, I don't mind an age gap, but this was super uncomfortable, knowing that Nick watched Wynter grow up as a child. Like, he went to her birthday parties, was there for the holiday's and other important family functions, as well as just casually over at the house. Of course, the one person always missing was Zaydon, but that was dismissed as "he was away at boarding school and I never knew he was Mr. Frost's son". Like how? Don't worry, the cringe doesn't just end at that.
After leaving the wedding and Wynter goes back to her condo with Nick Frost in tow, they get 'shit-faced' off of one bottle of wine. She tosses all of Zaydon's items out the window and then is so intoxicated she ends up marrying Nick (where and how?) and they end up on the cruise that was booked for Wynter and Zaydon's honeymoon...without her realizing it?

Idk about you, but it seems very sketchy Mr. Nick Frost.

What's even weirder is that Wynter is constantly calling him Mr. Frost, and Nick's nickname for Wynter makes me want to gag on a spoon. "Sugarplum" or "wife"...okay doesn't seem so bad does it?

How about every single time there is any conversation between them it either starts or ends with either pet name.

"So what do you say, sugarplum? Will you be my wife for thirty-one days?"
or
"Why?" I asked with curiosity. "It's your money, Nick."
"It's our money, my wife."

Now let me make it clear, these two got hitched while intoxicated. Then as they're trying to figure out how to undo their marriage, a wild ploy for the sake of both their companies is to stay married and pretend to be this happy in-love couple, for 31 days.

I mean how world wide news worthy, would it be if the heiress of a pole dancing studio and the founder/CEO of a sex-toy company, got divorced after a drunken night?

I digress.

While on the cruise she goes to one of the stores because a wild night off of a bottle of wine made her forget to pack up her stuff and she had no clothes, except for her wedding dress that is now living with the fishes, and her undergarments that showed off her pussy to her new husband. Yet, as she walks to the on-board store that has everything from food, souvenirs, clothes and sex toys?????? There was unnecessary dialog with the clerk where she gets all flustered and annoyed about having a conversation about the sex toys available.

The rest of this book just kept feeling more and more like someone first being introduced to writing and sex, or a very sheltered individual who watched their first porno.
Unfortunately, what drove the nail in the coffin with me being unable to finish this book, was the intimidation of the waitstaff at dinner. It was uncalled for and to be honest, if this is what got Wynter hot and bothered, then it makes me think differently of the author.
There was just so much more that irritated me and as much as I tried to be open and not be too judgmental, I just realized I wasn’t that girlie.

If you do enjoy age-gaps, close proximity, accidental/fake marriage, unnecessary/non-cohesive drama, and the most cringy winter puns with the obnoxious continuous uses of pet names for each line of dialogue between the main characters, then this is for you.

p.s if this review is confusing and shit, it's because this book made my brain turn to mush.
if you find this review harsh?? sorry, not sorry.

I promised an honest review for an ARC copy of this book.
Not going to lie I’m struggling with this so I’m writing down notes as I read this, the writing is rushed same as the story, the writing and characters are cringey, especially the way they talk. The word Christmas has come up so many times already I know it’s a Christmas book but too many times and as I’m writing this I’m on chapter 8 and I will be taking notes throughout this book for my review.

I think this book has so much potential but it’s too rushed the characters could be so much better and less cringey. Idk but right now I’m struggling right now.
Wynter is extremely dramatic and she’s quite childlike to be honest, and the fact they’ve gone from freaking out about getting married to them going straight to “my wife & my husband” is so rushed and real cringe for me. Writing is very contradicting especially when it comes to Wynter. I really do not like Nicks nickname for Wynter “sugarplum”.
Like I said this book has alot of potential if the writing wasn’t so rushed, and the characters conversations weren’t as cringey or childish it’s a good plot for a book but the way it’s written and planned out didn’t give it the best it could of been!
The characters are quite literally all over the place when it comes to their relationship and it shows a lot throughout the book, writing wise is very contradictory throughout and I may have found a few misspelled words in a few chapters .

It’s giving me vibes of a cheesy knockoff version of fifty shades of grey throughout some scenes in this book.
The fact that Nick Frost was Wynters dad’s best friend is giving me cringey vibes throughout it would have been better if the male character was a stranger or even if it wasn’t her dad’s best friend.

I did think that it was pretty sweet of nick to give Wynter her parents voice, I found that was a very sweet part of the book.

The ending was very repetitive saying a lot of the same things, and quite immature for my taste.

So in conclusion I didn’t enjoy this book and it may be a good book for someone else out there, or for a different audience however this book wasn’t for me at all.

Okay I need to first be transparent and say I do not usually read fluffy romance. I am into fantasy and dark romance for the most part. However, I wanted to try something new and different and read the book prior to using it as my book clubs BOTM. So understand I am probably a little biased in my review and how I personally feel based on the fact that I read completely different romance novels than this on the regular.

I started this book out initially thinking the Christmas and Winter puns were cute. As the book went on it because ridiculously repetitive for me. I ended up just skimming the last 30-40% of the book because I just couldn't stay in the world.

SPOILER AHEAD

I have a pet peeve with fiction and it's communication issues in books. To a certain extent they are fine but when the entire issue in a book is that the two main characters cannot communicate their feelings and thoughts with each other I get annoyed and irritated easily.

I feel like this book had potential to be different and something I would like and it just let me down.

❄️ Age Gap
❄️ ex-fiancé’s Dad
❄️ fake marriage
❄️ dad’s Bestie

The book starts off with Wynter getting ready to marry Zaydon. Zaydon knew exactly what he wanted (which was wynter) and he was going to get her. WRONG! Dude got caught sleeping with her bestie/maid of honor ON THEIR WEDDING DAY! AND MISS GIRL IS EXPECTING HIS CHILD! Talk about needing a drink or 10 lol! That’s exactly what Wynter did. Ran off and got drunk WITH HIS DAAAAAAD!!

So boom, this is where things start to get a wee bit off for me, they were drunk and got married accidentally? And decided to stay together for 30 days for “business purposes”. And there’s this constant ping pong match between her saying no this is wrong but then she wants to be with him? I’m kinda unsure lol the ball kept going left field. He’s also her dead dad’s bestie? But she’s liked him since she was 16??? Miss giiirrlllll lol moving too fast for your young aaage.

He was soooo “whatever my wife wants my wife gets” and as much as I love that I need a little bit of toxicity mixed in there lolol . But thennnnn it got me back on the table with the little plot twist that happened, (I ain’t gone spoil and tell you what it is you gone have to read it for yourself lol) and that’s what had me like yup yup this is what I like right heeeerreee !! lol

I was given an ARC to read in exchange for my honest review.

The story starts with Wynter ready to marry the man of her dreams on Christmas Day. But after stumbling upon her groom to be intimately wrapped around her best friend, she ran from her wedding...after she got a little revenge.

The groom's father found her and took her home. One thing leads to another, and they find themselves hungover and married on Wynter's honeymoon cruise.

I found that I enjoyed the way that Nick doted on Wynter. He tried to make all her dreams come true. It was a little off-putting that Wynter continually jumped to conclusions and thought the worst of Nick, even though he continued to put her first.

When the worst happened and Wynter found that Nick had lied to her, she couldn't forgive him. Nick's confident character changed to a groveling man. It was a very quick shift and made me somewhat dislike that character development.

In the end, Nick was able to find his softer side and Wynter ended up with her Christmas wedding with the true man of her dreams after all.

Overall, I enjoyed the book and if a large age-gap is something you enjoy ready, you will enjoy this book.

I don't know what's worse, the fact that her ex fiancée's father (the MMC) was her father's best friend (the fact that he watched this girl grow up and now is sleeping / married to her) or the fact that they only referred to each other as "wife" and "husband", as if they're possessions and not people, as if they don't have actual names. It's so cringe. All of it. And since I can't seem to not finish a book I had to finish the whole thing, and it didn't get any better.

On her wedding day, she catches her fiancee sleeping with her best friend, maid of honor. She runs out of the church and into the arms of her fiancee's dad. I would have been ok with that scenario and the storyline seemed promising, but then she mentioned being attracted to the dad cause they knew each other growing up. He was her dad's best friend and so he was always around when she was younger. That's disturbing. They get drunk together and end up marrying each other, deciding to stay married to save both their businesses. I really wanted to like it, there was just so much I couldn't get over.

It was not my cup of tea but it might be yours. Good luck!

This was my first time reading this author, and unfortunately, its also the last time. The idea is fun, but that's the only positive I can say.
The writing is juvenile. There were nonstop holiday puns that started cute but got old really quickly. Every thought was repetitious. I'm serious, she kept thinking the same things. We have to stop. I can't stop. We have to stop. I can't stop. I skimmed 1/2 the book or more and missed nothing. If I ever hear (read) the words "sugarplum" or "hubby" again, I might consider a lobotomy.

The characters were completely unrelatable. It's told from the h's pov. Her fiance was cheating on her, so she runs out on her wedding day. She goes on and on about how brokenhearted she is, but you'd never guess because she goes straight to her ex's dad and goes on and on about how she's had a crush on him since she was pretty much born. She gets mad over everything, literally.
The H was pathetic. He screwed up and then pretty much lives on his knees, crying. He does really over the top stuff to get her back, for no reason.

I can't even talk about this anymore. Just, no.

OMG OBSESSED!!!!! This book literally had me swooning from the very beginning!! Nick Frost is a man I’d gladly wake up married to! The spice in this book is off the charts! Literally will have you blushing like crazy! This book had me in all the feels. I’m not usually one for Christmas books, but this one has the cute vibes, but also the smutty juicy goodness we all crave!! Will definitely be reading this one again and will for sure be heading to the authors backlog!

The amount of times Nick said, “my wife” in this book literally had my drooling! If anyone knows my major auto buys in a book it’s marriage of convenience and “my wife” mixed with “who did this to you”. This book has EVERY SINGLE AUTO BUY CHECK!!!! Yall don’t sleep on this one!!! The smut was seriously smutty and I LOVVVVVVEEEEEDDDDDDDD every minute of this book!!!!!! Definitely ordering a physical copy for my trophy shelf!

Like I don’t want to spoil so I’ll leave just one quote…. "There's no limit for my wife," Nick breathed with confidence. "Because you're worth every fucking penny." 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

This book read like a perfect little Christmas soap opera turned Harlequin romance. Y'all if you are looking for a cute little Hallmark style book this is not it. This is for those of you who want to read a book where literally anything could happen. Just when I thought the spice would plateau, IT DID NOT! And all the holiday related innuendo...fabulous. This is the first book I've read from Breanne Bergie and it set the bar high.

In terms of plot - Wynter runs away from her wedding after catching her fiancé ✨with✨ her best friend 🙃 and runs right into the arms of his father, Nick, who was also her late father's best friend (see the soap opera reference). After a rage and alcohol fuelled evening, Wynter wakes up on her honeymoon cruise with Nick and a ring on her finger. Deciding it's best for both their companies if they stay together instead of divorcing immediately, they decide they need to be a convincing couple 😉😉 And the spice between a💈dance club owner and a billion dollar ✨toy✨ company was exactly what you'd expect.

If you pick this up, don't say I didn't warn you😉

I really enjoyed the captivating storyline of this book – it played out in a way that kept me hooked from beginning to end. However, there were moments where I sensed a bit of repetition, and I thought Wynter came across as a bit childish at the start. Despite that, the evolution of Nick and Wynter's relationship was a highlight for me; I completely understood her reluctance to fully commit given the circumstances.

The unexpected twists in the plot took me by surprise and added a real shock factor to the narrative. I appreciate how, in the end, love triumphed. While immersed in the book, I found myself wishing for more glimpses into the world beyond Nick and Wynter, as it would have added depth to the story. At times, the focus on the central pair made the narrative feel slightly repetitive, but overall, the age gap aspect added a layer of intrigue that I thoroughly enjoyed.
