I saw this in a bookstore and thumbed through it. I thought it had some useful information, but not enough to merit a full purchase. So I found it in the library. I read through it, and boy does it have some great stuff. it seems organized haphazardly, with certain tips that refer to the same subject scattered at opposite ends of the book.

Many of the tips are geared for the complete newbie and of no further use for anyone who has had a banjo for more than a few months. However, many tips get into music theory, and alternate tunings-information which I haven't been able to find anywhere, much less presented so clearly.

I don't think I will buy the book. It doesn't have enough re-readability for that, but I do plan on taking copious notes regarding certain sections.
