When a biker needs a fake girlfriend to bring home for the holidays and meet his grandmother, his Club President plays Santa and hires Las Vegas' most expensive escort for the job. The woman who shows up at his door turns out to be the one-night-stand he's never been able to forget. Can he play it cool and ignore the embers burning just under the surface? It's all fun and games until his feelings stop being fake and start getting real. Then he can't help wondering if this is just another job for her or if she feels it too.
With plenty of sexual tension, witty humor and some good old fairy godmother Christmas magic, it's a romantic holiday sure to delight.
Come along for a festive trip to New Orleans for Christmas done the Creole way.
Nicole James is a USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author who loves writing about hot alpha men who'll do anything for the women they love! Her stories are filled with struggle, conflict and real human emotion. She is the author of the Evil Dead MC series, the Brothers Ink Tattoo series and more.

Fun, flirty, and one helluva mood-boosting read! James needs to write more romance novellas because they are just as amazing as her full-length novels.
This story is set within her world of the Evil Dead MC, but it’s MC-light. I think it’s a nice change of pace getting to see one of the brothers’ lives outside of their motorcycle club being in the forefront.
If you like the fake-dating romance trope set in a holiday themed narrative, I highly recommend you give this one a read. It may be a novella, but it’s punchy. I love the vivid backdrop of New Orleans and getting to see through two difference pairs of eyes— from New Orleans native; Lobo and sightseer Hope. And who doesn’t enjoy a little holiday romance?
With the fast-pacing and constant developments, Lobo and Hope’s relationship technically evolved rather quickly, but with their close proximity and time spent getting to know one another, as you’re reading, it didn’t necessarily come across as abrupt.
The familial dynamics exhibited is your stereotypical hectic yet lively atmosphere whenever a gathering is in place. Whilst it has an overall light-hearted contemporary setting, I liked that there was still a little bit of suspense thrown in as well. Regardless of the holiday theme, it wouldn’t be one of James’ MC romances without bikers making an appearance, adding some brotherly banter and a wreaking little MC havoc. 😉
I’m always left smiling after seeing another one of James’ bikers get their HEA, and Lobo with his selfless personality certainly deserved one of his own. Hope is a positive, lovable heroine that takes things in stride. She’s a modern-day Cinderella who was so easy to root for. It may have started off as a night of no-strings fun between the two but their chemistry was palpable and their strengthening relationship felt truly genuine.
The bonus epilogue was a sweet addition, but I do hope we get to see more of Lobo and Hope in future books. I’m curious to learn where their lives are at years down the track.
I can read holiday romances anytime of the year, and this little novella was spice and all things nice! One charming biker. One high-end escort. One crackling night that unexpectedly paved the way to their forever.
Ms. James has given us an outstanding holiday MC Romance in one of the most exciting cities, New Orleans with Lobo’s story (he’s a member of the Evil Dead MC in Vegas). Of Course living about an hour from New Orleans for 20 years, I may be a little prejudiced about the city. She now only gave us a wonderful storyline with characters you’ll love (well most of them), she also included several of the city's Christmas time traditions. Lobo’s gran-mére has sent him an invitation to her Christmas Ball. His gran-mére is not in the best of health and he hasn’t been home to New Orleans in 10 years since the fallout with his father, instead living an outlaw life in Vegas with his MC brothers. Lobo isn’t planning to go because he just can’t face letting his gran-mére down by coming home alone (she wants him happily married with kids). But his club Prez decides to step in and hire Lobo, the most sought out escort in Vegas (Hope) to be his fake date for the trip. Lobo is shocked when the escort they hired shows up and he sees she is the woman he hasn’t been able to forget from a magical one-night stand where no names or numbers were exchanged.
Little does Lobo know the trip home to visit his family home just might bring a few Christmas miracles to him and his family. Excellent read that this reader Highly recommends grabbing up. You won’t be sorry you did so.
"I feel the same. Like everyday I've walked on this planet before I met you meant nothing."
Thank you, Nicole James, for making my Christmas come early with this hot delicious fake dating MC romance, you never disappoint but who would have thought you could have come up with such an intoxicating story as big bad biker Lobo needing a fake date to take home to his wealthy family who he hasn't seen in years and when his MC brothers use a high-class escort agency he wasn't expecting the woman who turns up to be none other than Hope, the woman he hasn't been able to forget since a chance encounter weeks before, what I loved about Hope is she is a strong woman who had to grow up pretty fast but, she may escort men to high-class events she however, has one rule, she never sleeps with them, but she never forgot Lobo either and now as they are thrown together over Christmas lines are becoming blurred as the heat rises on they intense chemistry yet again.
Lobo's grandma is a great character, I just loved how she manages her family, but it wouldn't be a family union without a few secrets and lies to be uncovered, but what makes it a winner for me is how Hope finally starts believing that she is special, that she can rely on someone else and, Lobo might just be the man to make all her Christmas wishes come true.
FRENCH QUARTER CHRISTMAS by Nicole James due 10/2/23 5 stars Lobo & Hope
As a top escort, Hope accompanied important, wealthy men for a high price. She made clear it was as an escort nothing more. She met Lobo in a bar when her scheduled date ended early. No rules no pay plenty of feelings. He didn't know what she did for a living and when they parted there was no way to stay in touch. Darn! That is until his club prez gave him a Christmas gift so he would visit his family. The visit of a pretend girlfriend turned out to be Hope.
Both were glad to see the other and allow him to see his family he hadn't seen in years. Their pretend feelings grew into more real feelings. Was there a future ahead for them?
Fun, family squabbles, and growing feelings. The story will keep you drawn to the characters both MC and blood families. Heat, a fun tour of New Orleans, a steamy romance, and so much more. Enjoy this story I strongly recommend it.
Lobo hasn't been home for Christmas to see his grandmother for many years because of several different reasons but one of the biggest is the fact that he's not found that special someone to spend his life with which is what she wants the most. This year however, she's not doing all that well so he's going to suck it up & head that way, and luckily for him, his MC brothers are there for him so they hire someone to play his fake girlfriend for this visit LOL! Hope is the high class escort (she only goes on dates, nothing else) they hire for Lobo, and imagine his surprise when he sees her as they had a HOT night together in the past that he never stopped thinking about. This story was easy to finish in one sitting because I loved every minute of it as Hope & Lobo spend a bunch of time together & maybe just maybe there will be a Christmas miracle for these two people but I'll never tell! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I loved this story of a fake dating, insta love story. Lobo and Hope are a great couple and I love Lobo's grandmother.
Lobo was having a bad day but when he went out with his neighbor, his night turned out to be great, but the next morning he was left wondering who the beautiful woman was and how he could find her. He never expected to see her again, especially at his front door.
Hope is a high end escort, she only goes on dates with her clients, but when she's feeling down and meets a handsome man in a ritzy bar, she can't let him get away. So she spends the night with him, and never expects to see him again. Imagine her surprise when she shows up for a job to go away for the holidays and the client is the man she can't forget.
This is a great story with great characters and I loved every page of it.
I enjoy Nicole James’ books, but her Evil Dead MC series is a standout for me, and I’m so thrilled to return to this club and these characters. As with the new Sins of the Father spin-off, timelines feel a little off, but that same EDMC spirit remains strong. Lobo and Hope’s ‘meet-cute’ is steamy from the jump, and when these two officially come together for a trip to New Orleans, you know it can’t go off without a hitch (no pun intended), but waiting for the other shoe to drop is still a fun ride. Love the NOLA EDMC’s appearance. The story focuses much more on the romance and Lobo’s family drama - this is definitely a (mostly) happy holiday read rather than an MC drama.
When Lobo needs a fake girlfriend to take home to his wealthy family for Christmas, his MC president plays Santa, and arranges for on of Las Vegas’s most expensive escorts to accompany him. Hope arrives on Lobo’s doorstep only for him to come face to face with his unforgettable 1-night stand. This is a well written easy to read magical Christmas story, with family, friendships, tension, secrets, lies, romance, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This is a great read that throws you right into the holiday spirit. It was a one night stand, until Lobo's hired escort turns out to be the one woman he can't seem to forget. Hope is just as surprised as Lobo when the door opens and it's him. The man she wished she'd never walked out on in the middle of the night. They have explosive chemistry and a genuine attraction to the other. I loved these two from the very start. The author set the pages on fire with this one but not only that but i really enjoyed the traditions and charm that is simply New Orleans. I loved how Lobo would go right into speaking as thou he never left. I adored this read!
I don't usually read stand alone stories, which is what I thought this was, but I'm always up for reading anything by this amazing author. I was beyond surprised when I figured out that this story is a part of the Evil Dead MC series, both the Las Vegas and the NOLA chapters. I loved the surprise appearance of some of my favorite characters! This was a fantastic holiday story that can be read anytime of the year. It's certainly a must read story! I would highly recommend reading all of these series as well. I would definitely recommend this book and exceptional author.
You may say, "An MC story--Sweet?!" YES! Nicole James creates a world of men who will do what it takes to protect the women in their lives. This was a great story with Lobo being a guy who is a Brother! Atotal supporter of family. His brotherhood makes sure he gets back to blood family and inadvertantly, give him his dreams. Hope is a surprise and delight. Enjoy this read and Merry Christmas!
I’m not a fan of cheese either. I’m not a fan of the instant love either. I liked the characters but would have liked more of a back story. Not sure if the author knows the Creole culture. If she does then why not give us more on why they claim to be Creole. I’m from Southwest Louisiana and I guess it’s a pet peeve for me when someone writes about a culture in Louisiana but may not know about that culture.
French Quarter Christmas is a great, fun, fast paced story. Hope and Loco stumble upon one another and as luck would have it both are up for a night of no names, no strings fun. They are a really unlikely couple but fit seamlessly together. French Quarter is an excellent quick read!
"Every day I’ve walked on this planet before I met you meant nothing.”
Usually I stay away from Christmas books but I like Ms. James books so I gave it a try...so happy I did. This was such an enjoyable book. With her description of New Orleans I felt like I was there. The story had so much heart and I teared up a couple of times. Thank you for a really great book!!!
I fell in love with Lobo, Hope and his crazy family. His cousin Del omg I really need his story. This is a great holiday read and I I couldn't put it down. The way Nicole described everything from the lights, to the building, and the clothing painted a perfect image in my mind. Congratulations Nicole on an amazing story.
Such a great book!!! I was captured from the first page. Hope and Lobo's story was sweet, fun, exciting and worth to read!!!!! You get to here what been happening in the other Evil Dead Chapters and meet Lobo's family. Nicole has written a very enjoyable Holiday story and its a must read!
French Quarte Christmas is another must read from a talented and amazing author, Nicole James. This is Lobo & Hope steamy, sexy romance story. You will LOVE these characters. You will love the story line. You will swoon, you will laugh, you will cry. I was hooked from the very beginning. I could not turn the pages fast enough.
Old New Orleans family with its attitudes. Fate steps up for Lobo and Hope. From their first meeting to their second. Love these characters - Lobo and Hope and grandmother and Delphin and the rest. Great story. Loved the descriptions of New Orleans, the food, the cookie challenge! Well done, Nicole!!! Enjoyed it all! 💜
