Another great book to the series. These have been so fun to read. These are the perfect kind of books to binge. Each one has its own “case” to solve but the overarching case really keeps the reader hooked, too! I love how the plot is multifaceted. This book was just as good as the prior ones. I like watching each of the characters develop and grow. 2 more left! Hoping we get some closure!
This one felt different from the other books in the series. The story was about the same, but the tone and writing style just seemed off. The characters spoke in ways that no human in 2023 America would speak, especially young people like Cami and Kieran. Just felt like it was ghostwritten or something, since it seemed so far removed from the rest of the series. Going to give the next book a shot but if it’s got weird tone issues still I may be jumping off this series.
I love Cami's character! She is feisty, tough, and bright, and is learning her ropes in life like everyone else. In this book, she can unravel the technicality behind the killings as well as confront the killer. She is also moving in deep into the research of her sister's disappearance. Looking forward to reading book #9!
Cami Lark has finished her MIT computer courses and is trying to decide where to work now. She’s moved out of the residence and is now sharing an apartment with her old boyfriend’s brother. The brother was an FBI special agent who had been killed helping Cami investigate the disappearance of her older sister years before. This book seems a rehash of the search for answers about Jenna Lark’s disappearance. FBI agent Connor is still guiding and mentoring Cami trying to tame her rogue ways.
