“There is a time for war, and a time for peace.”
—Bible passage.

Enthralling and exciting!
Ethan Jones masterfully weaves nail-biting action scenes with wily humour, creating a riveting thriller series. If you revel in immersive narratives, you're captivated by intense battles, unforgettable characters, formidable foes, and unexpected plot twists, this series is penned expressly for you. It’s a very enjoyable story with likable, fully realistic characters.
The storyline grabbed me from the beginning and pulled me in with all the danger, excitement and suspense that never lets up.
Like every exceptional hero, Jack Storm, the main character, struggles with the concept of right and wrong, and the inevitable conclusion that there are many shades of grey between black and white. An engrossing thriller that kept me on my toes throughout the entire book.

Ethan Jones deftly makes valid points about current issues in the world. He has a great creative mind and the way he expresses his stories challenges your mindset.
Rogue Extraction #7 is really good, fast paced, and chapters just flow by. I love Ethan’s books! I definitely recommend this series.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and my review is entirely voluntary.

Suspense filled and full of non-stop action, nothing will stop Jack from getting his friend Riley back to Canada, back to safety, back to freedom. Add another top-notch story to the Extraction series.
Highly Recommended.

Canadian spy irritates friend and foe alike as he tries to free his buddy - 4.5 stars

Set in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iran, and along several national borders, Jack Storm calls on favors to rescue the man who helped rescue Jack's wife and daughter. Jack's approach was without the support or permission of the Canadian Intelligence Service (spy service). CIS management did not claim any responsibility for Jack's family and wanted Jack removed from the field for working independently and not following directions.

Over at least a decade, Jack had developed working relationships with individuals on both sides of a continually changing political landscape, occasionally "embarrassing" his management and getting his assignments completed successfully. He was a classic rogue operator, respected by his peers, and had a highly successful record.

There were plenty of close calls - near death and actual death for some - in the murky environment that encompasses the Middle East collection of governments, strong men, spies, and assassins who made the region a dangerous place for nearly everyone.

Agreements were made and broken all the time. It was easy enough to get past a nation's border security in exchange for a favor to be called later or merely for money. Poor people in a subsistence region were happy to assist - drive a boat or a car - for modest payments.

The trick for Jack was to avoid getting killed, ignore his managers, make deals, and get on with locating and extracting his friend who had been captured, tortured, and held as bait to settle personal scores. It was complicated. It was high energy. It was unsafe. "Rogue Extraction" was a good read. Enjoy.

Having loved each of the previous books in this series I wasn't surprised when I loved this one too. Ethan Jones never fails to deliver an engrossing story populated with interesting characters that he then drops into some epic action. The author put his character in some really tough situations this time around but Jack Storm can handle it, right? Right? Read this fun book to find out. You won't be disappointed.

Once more, Jack Storm is engaged in another unsanctioned mission. His loyal partner, Riley Booker, has been kidnapped as a result of their last mission, to recover Jack’s wife from kidnappers. Their CIS masters have declared them rogue agents and will not lift a finger to help. In fact, other CIS agents have been ordered to arrest Jack on sight. Therefore, he must rely on other countries’ agents, calling in old favors for them to help, but knowing that they could not be trusted. How can Jack ever hope to succeed in this impossible situation?
Mr. Jones has done it again! This is an excellent action thriller, with strong characters and an exciting chase leading through dangerous areas like Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iran. The story pulled me in at once and kept me turning pages to see who would double-cross who, or even try to kill one another. This is another book that can be read as a stand-alone story, but I highly recommend that you read the entire series to best appreciate the adventures. I am certainly eager to read more of Mr. Jones’ writing.

High tension throughout

Jack’s partner, Riley, was taken captive after helping Jack get his wife Agnes free and helping Jack escape. Jack and Riley’s mission was unsanctioned, so their Canadian agency CIS will not help Jack locate and free Riley.

There’s constant danger. No one can be trusted. Jack has to ask for the help of the Russians and Bornia has told him he will owe them big future favors. He also has to call on Mossad for help and nothing is done out of the goodness of their cruel hearts. Several guaranteed pay back days are ahead of Jack once this is over.

The author, Ethan Jones, from beginning to end never drops the high paced tension. His mind is nothing short of amazing. When you wonder what possible options are left to survive and accomplish the mission then another incredible sub-plot unfolds.

Don’t miss this book or any of the books in this series. I now eagerly await the next book in this series

Rogue Extraction - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

In a plot that could be straight out of Mission Impossible with a touch of James Bond in the mix, Ethan Jones tells a riveting story that's easy to engage with and has a believable storyline with lots of action and thrills aplenty.

CIS Agent Jack Storm has gone rogue...at least that's the official verdict and it's supposedly put a target on his back. In reality Jack's on a trademark extraction mission to locate his fellow agent Riley, who's MIA overseas, and extract him from enemy captivity.
Caught in an impossible web of espionage and betrayal by native and enemy forces,Jack must decide whom to trust or whether going it alone is a viable option.

If it is possible to have more than 9 lives then I think Jack has to be a strong contender. He seems to get through nerve-wracking situations by the skin of his teeth. I was holding my breath for most of the time I was reading this latest story. I did not even stop to have a cup of tea I was so engrossed. For me to do without my precious tea is saying something!
I greatly admire Jack not just for his bravery which is a given, but for his integrity and honor. If he believes something is the right thing to do he will battle on to the bitter end regardless of his own safety. He will never leave a man down, he will try his utmost to save him. I would describe him as relentless if not a bit too much of a lone ranger.
This is a superb story full of the thrills the author is known and loved for. 5 stars from me, great stuff!

Ethan Jones' Rogue Extraction is a great addition to the Jack Storm series.

Jack Storm, an extractor for the Canadian Intelligence Service (CIS) has problems. Riley, his exceptional partner was captured in a previous mission. But Jack went rogue with her on the same mission. His new task is to extract Riley from her captors.

But his problems have problems. Will CIS support him or not; everywhere he goes, he must determine if the people he meets are friends; friends who have turned against him; or if the enemies he meets are friends.

In the meantime, as you read, you are going to be captivated by the first page right up to the very end while finding it difficult to stop anywhere along the way!

In a desperate bid to free his friend and partner, Riley Booker, Jack must face the possibility of a deal with the Devil. But devils are tricky things, and even when Jack thinks he has all the cards, the Devil always has an ace up his sleeve. This story was filled with edge-of-the-seat excitement as friends and foes blended together to the point where one couldn’t be distinguished from the other. In the game of deception, the best back-up plan wins. And I already can’t wait to see what new chaos is awaiting the Jack Storm touch.
I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.

Rogue Extraction (Jack Storm #7)

As in all of Jones previous novels the story line is clear and straight forward. In Rogue Extraction Book #7 Jack again finds himself going rogue to save his partner Riley who was captured while rescuing Jack’s wife and daughter in Book 6. This story (as always) is filled by car chases, shootouts and betrayals within betrayals which add to the suspense. Jones has honed his writing skills to bring another page turner that fans will not want to miss. And as always an ending that will leave readers with the hook to wanting the next book in the series to arrive sooner than later.

Jack Storm has gone rogue in order to find and extract his partner Riley. Without the help of the CIS, Jack is forced to work with some not so trustworthy colleagues in the spy community. Can Jack find and rescue Riley with several organizations after Jack at every turn. This book keeps you turning pages and trying to figure out what the next twist and turn will bring! And then the ending has us anxiously waiting for book #8!!!!

Going Rogue

A fast action, thriller of a ride during the last story in the personal fight Jack took on to rescue his family. Going rogue was the only way forward to obtain his goal. When his partner Riley was determined to join him no amount of arguing from Jack could dissuade him. When Riley was captured Jack did everything in his power to find him, resulting in twists and turns in nearly every page of this brilliant fast paced read.

Life tends to throw one some curved balls every now and again. Usually you tend not to get the same kind of curve ball twice in a row.
For Jack Storm that happened when his wife and daughter got abducted and held captive to ensure his compliance. It took a major effort to rescue them.
And now his friend Riley got abducted too. The very same Riley who previously put his own life at risk to help out Jack.
This time, though, it would appear that Jack himself would have to do the same... irrespectively.
Oh boy, and does that happen one violent scene after another.
Enjoy

This story is about Jack Storm's adventure while he attempts to rescue Riley. Read what obstacles he needs to overcome and who are the parties that he is receiving assistance from. Learn what CIS has planned for him as well.

The ending wraps up the story well and you won't be disappointed.

Jack Storm is at it again, creating his own international spy agency storm of intrigue, strange bed fellows, betrayal and bloody firefights. An action packed romp, always at the very edge of credibility yet somehow insisting that you come back for more. A good read.

Jack Storm is on his own extraction trying to get his friend & partner Riley back after he was kidnapped. His biggest obstacles are having to work without support and to work with enemies who just as soon kill him as help him. Once again you will be held captive without sleep because you simply can’t put this book down ! Another page turner from Ethan ! An absolute must read !
