An athology of short stories which are connected by a group of monster hunters working for a clandestine branch of the military. These were really good stories that left me aching for more ... more of the stories that ended ... more new ones... MORE. To say that I enjoyed the book would most definitely be an understatement.

This fast-paced book captivates and grabs your attention from the start. Told in short bites, the stories within its pages introduce you to a team that works for a secret agency investigating incidents believed to be beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding. Each story connects seamlessly allowing you to become well acquainted with the characters as they come face to face with otherworldly threats. I would highly recommend this book to those who enjoy horror and sci-fi.

A New and Thrilling Voice

Project Threshold introduces a powerful, scary, gripping set of monster stories to the world. If you don’t fear what’s under your bed at night after reading this volume, you might want to check if you have a heartbeat. And the character-development is so spot on you’ll feel you have new friends, which is tough because no one wants friends to be monster food!

Me and Craig follow each other in twitter (now X) and I have to say this book was fantastic, it pulled me in and I read it in one day. I would recommend this because it really is a good read and I personally would like a mini TV series made out of it. I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I'm keeping the story under wraps. It's definitely a 5 stars from me.

This is an interesting read! A little bit different for a mermaid story! Which made it very good, no fluffy, pink love story here! A good slice of horror mixed into this interesting world! I liked the characters & ideas, it had good action & pace & was a very enjoyable read!

A unique exploration of the borderland between our everyday lives and the inexplicable, Crawford’s “Project Threshold: Team Berger” is a captivating series of stories that seamlessly blends elements of reality with the supernatural. Crawford does an amazing job challenging readers to reconsider hidden dimensions that might exist around us; constantly blurring the line between what we believe to be rationale and the mysteries lurking just beyond our perception.

One of the strengths of “Project Threshold: Team Berger” is Crawford’s ability to craft relatable characters. Even as supernatural unfolds around them, the emotions and struggles of the characters feel authentic and relatable. As the characters grapple with the revelation that reality is not as straightforward as it seems, we as readers are drawn in and prompted to reconsider the hidden dimensions that might exist around us.

If you’re a fan of stories that challenge your perception of the ordinary, this book is an intriguing and enjoyable read that will leave you eagerly awaiting the next installment.

These short stories are connected by an overarching mission to keep the public safe and ignorant of serious, paranormal threats to humanity. They share different characters within the same secret agency and there is a joint history for some and a short history for others.
The extraterrestrial bend is unmistakable and there are definite elements of horror. I am not a fan of large amounts of gore but I enjoyed all of these stories and got chills in a number of places.
I can't say anymore because I am committed to not spoiling a story for others.
I award 4.8 stars to Project Threshold: Team Berger: Division 1.

I am always Leary of new authors (to me). Will I like the writing style… will I like the story line… will I…

Well, this one was fantastic. I was given a read of it from the author as sort of a beta reader, though not really.

The story starts with an almost decom of a scene and takes off from there.

Storyline is fantastic and the visuals rival the best of writers. It kept my attention and made me want to read more to find out what in the world was going on.

This read was well paced and written with a good page-turner style of keeping the reader engaged at all times.

I highly recommend this to anyone that like adventures and thrills in good solid doses.

I will start by saying this book is a novella so it doesn't take long to read but in the short space of this story, lots of action has gone on. It follows a special government agency, in particular, Team Berger on a series of investigations into the unknown. Think X-Files but at a much faster pace. Each chapter is like its own story so you almost don't need to know what happened in previous chapters to read it, which is neat. You get a little background on the characters but mostly about Berger because the's the MC and a veteran of Threshold. This book is for those who like creatures, monsters, and shows like X-Files.

Reads like X-files meets Supernatural…this book was SO good! The paranormal investigations pales against the snippets of emotional turmoils plaguing the characters which gave this story so much depth and feel. Wished it was a lot longer as I did not want this book to end. But judging from the last page, there will be further books with this amazing team!.

I love a story that doesn’t hold back, and this one doesn’t. Every chapter hits hard, with action, emotion, and just the right dose of weirdness. The way the author handles trauma and fear after each mission gives the story real weight. These aren’t superheroes, they’re broken, brave people doing the impossible. Fantastic world-building!

Super fun quick little read. Great, engaging horror/sci-fi. This book has the characters going on a different mission each chapter, with each as gripping as the last, where they encounter all kinds of creepy, horrific things. Reminiscent of X-Files.

Crawford pulls the curtain back on a world of monsters living alongside our own. The dialogue is spot on - you feel like you're along the ride with Team Berger. The stories are just the right length to be satisfying without being overbearing. Tough read to put down. Can't wait for more!

Polished and slick, this collection of shorts is going to make one hell of a novel. Some of the top authors in the field need to know that the headlights in their rear view mirror is Craig coming up from behind. Fast.
