I loved this mind-bending story.

This has a Lovecraftian cult feel to it, with modern cannibals, some connection with some hellish dimension, like Clive Barker’s movies Hellraiser or ‘The Hellhound Heart’ if you prefer the book to the movie, or the movie In the mouth of Madness.

It’s about a rock star who returns to his small town home, but everything feels off, and the town seems to be centred about a new and modern burger restaurant called 'Jointers' which has an almost cult like following, with a burger that blurs the lines between reality and something darker.
This story also reminds me of the book, The City by S.C. Mendes. So if you liked it you will like this, it’s hard to say much more without spoiling the story.

So, if you are looking for something unique and different to twist you mind and sink your teeth into, then I recommend checking this one out.

This has got to be one of the best horror books I have ever read. Horror bordering on splatterpunk.

Cannibalism, murder, mystery and plenty of gore.

Independent horror at its finest.

Wasn't too bad, not my usual genre or subject material but I can appreciate an easy read with good writing. Kept me interested and was easy to get to the end and appreciate it.

Thr best way I can review this story is as a fever dream. It feels entirely like diving into a completely horrible trip and losing track of what is happening, and why.

The characters are interesting with sometimes jarring dialogue, which can feed into the fever dream and the style when the reader actively makes the decision to do so.

I found I had a few issues with some grammatical choices and noted a few misplaced punctuation marks. I did struggle with character dialogue where each comment from a character was followed with "[name] says" but once I stopped noticing it, it wasn't as jarring.

Overall I would recommend this to my friends who are more inclined to the occult and pop culture but with a warning that the story is worthwhile but it may take 60 pages to get to the interesting stuff but I do believe it's worth holding out for.

I found this a unique story, like nothing I've read before.

I also had the pleasure of meeting both R.C.L and J. DeSterling and have a signed copy and print. These two men are incredibly kind despite the complete insanity that is Jointers.
