4.25 stars. Action packed western adventure with a great main character and a very interesting group of side characters! I hope Morg and Sam stick around into the rest of the series!

I felt I was ..Doon the pub wi ma mates at times lol Thanks Robert McIntosh from rainy Glasgow in bonny Scotland .roll on book three
Couldn’t put this down glued to both books really hoping there’s more to come there is always some great honest gunfighters in these stories I’m waiting
One of the best! Author is in the same class as L'amour, Dusty Richard's, Elmer Kelton, and Frank Roderus. Suspenseful, intriguing, and a very good read.
Refreshing and entertaining story. Didn't want to stop as the action and the characters just kept moving on page after page. Others have commented on spelling and grammar errors, but the story is just so darn entertaining and fast acting that you can easily stop noticing these little issues. Highly recommended for those who like action and a very interesting story line.
Great characters and a brilliant fast paced storyline that is constantly moving and keeping you guessing what will happen next. I really loved this book and the previous one and I am looking forward to reading the next in this trilogy.
This book and its prequel are just what I enjoy reading. Good western novels, a fine and upstanding hero and a solid storyline. Excellent books and I hope there will be more to follow.
This is the second book I've read in the Plainsman series and it's another cracking good western which was hard to put down. Once again like the first book it's brilliantly written with great characters and lots of action although in this one a little more suspense and intrigue were added. Unlike the first book the setting for this one is a western town which is brilliantly described by the author with saloons a jail house and livery full off good guys and bad guys all excellently described and the authors knowledge of the weaponry and gunplay of the old West is excellent.I can't wait to read the next instalment this series.
Liked the story. Recommend to Western story readers Major Criticism! I had hoped the many mistakes from book 1 would have been corrected in book 2 but, unfortunately they were more prevalent. A good proof-reader was badly needed. Examples: spun not span in many places, a Colt Revolving Shotgun does not have two barrels, etc. Because the story itself is very good, I have ordered book 3, hoping the mistakes are somewhat cleaned up.
This was absolutely a 5-star story but I have to knock a star off for the numerous editing errors ... sloppy. That's indicative of an author that doesn't care about the quality of the work they're presenting and that's a huge negative for me. It's a shame because the plot and characters are unique and entertaining.
I'm sure glad that I was privileged to read this book. It seems that the fight of right against wrong has gone on forever. This is an exemplary display of how some of this battle went about.
Loving this series. Great characters in particular with interesting plot development. I also love the realistic touches such as development of guns and the use of terms such as 'bear sign' (early form of a doughnut). Highly recommended.
I skip parts of the book. Really surprised at the overall things about the book. Waiting for him to write about what happened in Greenville. Need to end this series on that note.
