В 2017 році став Переможцем Літературного конкурсу імені Джона Буньяна[2]. Журі, до складу якого входять українські письменники — Юрій Вавринюк, Надійка Гербіш та Богдан Галюк, визначили Олексія Деканя з його оповіданням «Гіркі сливи» переможцем.[3]
На початку 2018 в видавництві «Брайт Букс» вийшов новий фантастичний роман автора українською мовою «Коріння Всесвіту[6]». Це сучасна українська хроноопера, космічна Одіссея, містичний трилер та історичний детектив.[7]
В 2019 у видавництві Перун було надруковано збірку «Алфавіт для Андроїда»
В 2021 вийшла аудіоверсія книги «Алфавіт для анроїда» для платформи АБУК. Також Видавництвом ТуТ була надрукованна Містична мешап повість за мотивами твору Івана Нечуя-Левицького «Кайдашева Сім'я проти зомбі». Книга одразу вийшла в 2х альтернативних обкладинках, у авторському виконанні, та в оформленні художника Андрія Данковича, автора коміксу «МОР». Цей мешап став бестселлером на Comic Con Ukraine, який відбувся в 2021му році в Києві. Перший наклад книги був розпроданий лише за пару місяців після релізу.
B 2022 видавництво ТуТ друкує оновленне вилання книги «Алфавіт для анроїда 2.0 , а на АБУК виходить аудіоверсія книги «Кайдашева Сім'я проти зомбі», текст читає Сергій Левчук, музичний супровід гурт Зграя

The Fair of the Worlds is approaching and several disasters are imminent. The Galactic Federation and the Commonwealth of the Worlds are not willing to risk their safety to help Nurlin stop the disaster, not even to evacuate the people. And so they just sit and watch. Our heroes try to stop the inevitable and call Emikhol, the only one who can really save the dying world.
All the ways lead to the Heights of Imprudence where everyone meets in the end. Groups fight each other for power, revenge or salvation. But the real fight happens within people's own souls. This is a struggle everyone must fight on his own: Lo-Ammi, Kamo, Max, Hayl, the dwarf homunculus...
What I liked:
1) Excellent plot twists! The way Ruth , Max , and most notably, One-winged Dragon . I didn't see that coming! And the scene where it deals with the Shadow was both hilarious and awesome.
2) Very strong moment in the 5th chapter where Kamo reaches his lowest point.
3) Graphic design again! The gilt edging goes from fiery red (first book) to light violet (second book) to green and silver (third book). I thought that the color changes are meant to symbolize the cooling down / dying sun. But in that case, the last book could be blue and silver, the colors of frost. After reading the last book, I think the green is a suitable color here because Nurlin' is also facing . The deep green color is meant to be odd and unsettling.
4) The author avoided a sickeningly sweet happy-end. I'm not too happy about what he did instead, though.
5) Author's afterword tells us how he wrote the story of Nurlin' as a teenager, threw it away, and then returned to it many years later. It's interesting to learn how the story was born and I'm honored to be able to read it.
What I didn't like:
1) Why is the reunion of Hayl and the rest of the Order of Emikhol barely mentioned at the end of 2nd chapter? Why don't we see it first-hand?
2) Kamo's and Marta's speeches about morality sometimes feel unnatural and forced.
3) In the 5th chapter, we see the spaceship's computer activating an . The shadow has a conversation with the necromancer Syarhil during the countdown. Reading just ONE replica aloud took me about 30 seconds, but the countdown moves only 6 seconds. One may argue that some of the conversation was telepathic and could be therefore faster, but why not just use more realistic numbers instead?
4) Chapter 7, in which Michael makes a very important decision, seems too hasty. We don't go through the decision with him, we just see the result.
5) If the diamond was cursed, why didn't Michael catapult it into the sun, but ?
6) Huge spoiler alert.
