Fr. Daniel explains Orthodox Christianity in a very simple way and compares it to the other traditional churches and the Protestants. He measures according to the standard of what has been handed down from the beginning and has found the Orthodox Church upholds this standard the best. A majority of the comparisons are with the modern day Roman Catholic Church, the church in which he was raised, in which he was first ordained a priest. Questioning Roman Catholics would be the most likely ones to benefit from this book.

Father Daniel discusses how worship has been trending trending in the Western world in recent decades and how we've drifted away from God-centered worship in favor of individualism and political identity. He teaches the reader about how Orthodox tradition can invigorate our faith and reestablish the community through prayer, the Eucharist, and prioritizing our humility before God during worship.

Father Daniel is thoughtful and articulate, and he provides sincere reflection on how reestablishing the fundamentals of worship can strengthen the Church.
