Jason Myers (1983- ) grew up in Northwest Ohio. Avid reader for years he put aside his dreams of writing to raise his children and focus on being an EMT/Firefighter. With his loving wife's support he has been able to finish several short stories and has been published in horror anthologies as well as on his own. He currently resides and still serves his city of Maumee, Ohio.
This is quite the collection of short stories. The kinds of horror are varied. The stories range from real-life horror situations that EMTs deal with to the trials of a person with dementia with a very brutal twist. There's more real-life horror in the form of a convenience store robbery gone wrong. Then, there's plenty of fantastical stories that deal with evil mermaids, twins with a dark and supernatural collection, and even a monster under a bed.
The pure variety of horror themes makes each story unique in the ways they can make you uncomfortable and even possibly afraid. I can honestly say that there wasn't a disappointing story for me. Myers' skill in weaving a compelling story is on full display, making this a perfectly enjoyable read.
This book is a collection of stories written by Jason Myers. Each story was creepy and spooky and a few were gory. I think it has something for everybody. You have stories that range from a Creepy house, a guy with a maniacal laugh, ex coworker out for revenge, identical twin brothers with a unique sense, a wife that thinks she’s the Grim Reaper, and more. As I’m reading the stories, which ever one I was on, my mind would vividly play out in my head even down to the littlest detail. Every time I told myself that I was going to read one more story and then go to sleep, I would just keep reading because they were so good.
