Falling For Her Enemy -
When Luca and Annabelle met for first time, their time together was meant to be on the basis of booty calls, but everything changed after Luca discovered who she was and her occupation. Even though Annabelle found herself captive, her attraction for Luca continued to grow and this led to them coming to an agreement.

Unfortunately, not everyone was happy with their connection and this led to a few danger-filled and near fatal encounters. However, Luca was quick to the rescue, so they could work together to get a happy and fulfilling life together. Even though I thought book one was good, I didn’t expect Ava Cox to totally blow my mind with book two and leave me feeling like I have just endured one heck of a rollercoaster ride. Grab a copy of this awesome book and you will be recommending it the moment you finish reading it.

This held my attention until it didn’t. I want to say around 40% it started seriously dragging and unfortunately I started skimming. The story line was good I think it just wasn’t for me. There were two epilogues and I thought that was cute because I am after all a romance lover and I can’t resist the promise of an HEA! spice was good and a bit tasteful (using words like manhood and the proper terms for certain parts lol) so if you want something to get down and dirty to this isn’t it. I may or may not continue with the series!

Luca has reluctantly taken over as Don as his parents retire. Annabelle is a police officer determined to clean up her city. Chemistry? Off the charts! Problem? For Annabelle, it seems her boss and her partner are always pushing her aside in her investigation. The boss goes so far as to assign her to a case that was already started AND the reports are confusing. For Luca? He despises having to order a hit. For both? Neither knows what the other does or each other's last name!!! The story progresses and as it unfolds, secrets are revealed including one that Annabelle is completely shocked to learn about! So much betrayal by so many for her. Luca blindsides Annabelle when he kidnaps her! This book kept getting better and more exciting the more I read! The ending....piece de resistance...what a team! I will confess that I did finish this in record time and I do read a lot of books. Definitely keeping this in my collection and I highly recommend it! Susan C.

Luca and Annabelle met at a bar and were instantly attracted to each other.
That would have been fine, except Luca is the boss of the Bonanno crime family and she's a Betrami, and she's with the police. Neither of them know this about the other so all's fine - for a while.
Things start to unravel when Luca finds out who she is, the only problem being she doesn't know who she is, her father has been keeping some big secrets from her, and he's not the only one. Everyone is hiding something.

This tells the story of two opposites finding their way to each other despite the odds.

Now he was fully responsible for each ordered execution. Tonite was another weight. He escaped to a bar not owned by the family but where his father took him for his first drink when he was way too young. There he met Annabelle. A local cop who was also feeling defeated by her days work, she fell for his charm and accepted his invitation to adventure with him. When love lets them reveal their secrets, will they be able to trust one another? A good read!

The story was lovely, interesting Characters and plot.

Battling with so much darkness and finding something or someone that brings light into your life is something anyone would or should grasp. The story was medium paced to my reading. Filled with lots of spicy and steamy scenes that leaves you satisfied.

Toughness

Luca always knew the mob life wss not for him, but he wanted to be there for his family, like his father did his family. Annabelle was a serious cop. All she wanted to do was take down the mob. Her partner kept trying to convince her not crimes can be solved. She found out what her partner meant, but it wss too late.

I would've liked to know what Luca ended up doing for a living.

This is a very enjoyable read. They meet at a bar, are instantly attracted to each other. They have no idea who the other one is and that’s a complication. He’s the boss of a crime family and she's with the police. This is a story of two opposites finding their way to each other and it’s quite well written.

Hot opposites attract!

I liked this storyline. Loved the 2 main characters together. I could sense come of what was coming, but still had a couple surprises. :)

Not bad

As soon as I started reading this, it had me wanting more. I couldn't put it down, but after a while, I felt like it started lacking things for me. Definitely had plenty of potential, and it was still an interesting read, but towards 3/4 in, I didn't like the direction it was going in. It felt rather rushed, and some things didn't add up for me.
Nonetheless, I'll repeat, not too bad, for a quick read.
