I’m about to find out if he’s as greedy in the bedroom as he is in business.
The night I met Declan Wells, I was dressed as a fairytale princess. He looked like the devil in disguise.
When my rideshare driver was a no-show, Declan offered me a lift home.
Since we worked in the same building in Lower Manhattan, I didn’t see the harm in it.
I had no idea that night would end with my gown and tiara on Declan’s bedroom floor.
I had more fun than I’ve ever had before, so when Declan suggested a friends-with-extra-fun-benefits arrangement, I was completely on board.
As an attorney, I don’t have time for a serious relationship, and after my messy divorce, I’m determined to honor my commitment to put my career before everything else.
But then, Declan walks into my law firm with an offer too good to pass up.
Agreeing to represent him is the best decision I’ve ever made. Or is it the worst?
Deborah Bladon had never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She was a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you could often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan was definitely her second home.
She cherished her family and believed that each day was a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.
Abby Duvall is a lawyer for Thorsen & Associates. She works in the same office building as Declan Wells who co-owns with his younger brother one of the most successful men’s underwear brands. Declan and Abby have been noticing each other for quite some time but haven’t yet formally met. When luck has them running into each other late one evening on the streets of New York, Declan makes a move for a chance with Abby. Except, unbeknownst to him he has a reputation in the business world and the bedroom. Abby doesn’t believe Declan wants anything serious which is fine because she’s focusing on advancing her law career.
This was a fun, sexy, and swoony read. I was so excited to read Decklan’s story. Abby is a great match for him. There are some really great moments shared with previous book characters as well as introducing some new ones that you just can't get enough of. This is book five in the Billionaire Buck Boys series which consists of lifelong friends who attended the private “Buchanan” school when they were younger. Each man has become successful in their own right and these are their stories as each one meets their soulmate and embarks on the next chapter in their life. Each book can be read as a standalone but I believe it would be a much better experience when read in chronological order. This is my honest opinion, freely given.
As much as I love Billionaire romance books, I don’t find baby gushing through the book romantic. And it’s not just the couple falling in love. It’s every other character in the book going on and on about their babies. Don’t get me wrong. Deborah Bladon is a good writer. I enjoyed her two main characters, until the end. But literally throughout the entire book we hear about Declan’s brother’s baby and one of his best friends, who’s a single father and his baby, and then his other brother whose fiancé gets pregnant. I’m sure you can see where this is leading. If you’re someone who finds pregnancy and babies as a good romantic read then this book (series is for you.) Not my idea of romance.
A red-hot billionaire offered me a ride home. I have read most of the books this author has written over the years, and as I have stated before, although her books are all well written, with great characters and I enjoy reading them, the problem is every character is becoming a bit samey! Especially these buck boys who are all too good to be true; gone are the gritty characters who kept the girl on her toes, whether it be the guy wrongly accusing the girl of something, disappearing and not explaining why or keeping a child secret from their love interest. But now we just have straight forward fall in love, cinderella type story which are becoming boring. With this one, I was disappointed that Abi went from a career minded, independent woman, with nothing getting in the way of her career and wanting to make partner, to wanting a baby and the career suddenly forgotten. Sorry but come on Deborah let's have some powerful gritty characters back as with your earlier books.
I always get a smile on my face when a new standalone Buck Boy billionaire gets his chance at finding his HEA. Declan Wells is the other half of the billionaire underwear empire part owned by his brother Sean. Once he sets his sights on lawyer Abby, it's one hot night of fun that will never be enough. Declan was the swoony hero that has just not met his match, but once he saw how happy all his friends and family were after they found their partners, he just wanted the same thing.
Abby however is determined to make partner and work has always been her top priority. Believing that she could have more than one night with Declan was never on the cards for her, however he is determined to prove her wrong. This was a beautiful love story that I devoured in one sitting.
This book is perfection if you are a long time fan or if this is your first time reading a Deborah Bladon novel, you won’t be disappointed. The characters and the New York backdrop will keep you reading without wanting to stop. This is Declan Well’s story and it’s absolute perfection. I love how all the characters from past books are woven in. Those interactions will lead you to a collection of some of the best in romance. In this book Declan and Abby find that the attraction each has for the other is reciprocated while trying to juggle family, friends and work. Things get to a boiling point when Declan thinks his insatiable greed for Abby somehow pushes her away. What happens in the end leaves you wanting more😍I can’t recommend this book enough.
Declan finally found his love. Abby found that love and a career was more than possible. I liked the way the story developed (although sex on first meeting is a little strong for me). However,it turns out the characters were aware of each other because they worked in the same building. It was a cute coincidental meeting. I loved the sibling and friends relationships. Catching up with Declan’s brother Sean and his fiancé Callie and their baby status was a plus. No sour parental relationship in this book, good parents, grandparents vibes. Looking forward to the next episode in Ms Bladon’s New York families.
LOVED LOVED LOVED! Greed, the fifth book in the Buck Boys Series, It's witty, sweet, heartfelt, and the passion was off-the-charts.💥
Declan and Abby will take you on a journey that will leave you breathless, frustrated, and excited; but will also leave you happy and swooning. A Happily-Ever-After is inevitable!❣️
Deborah Bladon does such a fantastic job of making you feel like you are a part of the story. You will fall in love with all the Buck Boys!💞
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Five stars because the author is that good, but every story now seems to end with the FMC being pregnant. I never wanted children, I never had children, and it was absolutely the correct decision for me. I like a good contemporary romance. I’m tired of the assumption that the story isn’t complete without a baby. I also worked in health insurance and I know the statistics on miscarriages. I hope that all these happy first pregnancies never make anyone feel guilt about losing a child.
Definitely a Five Star must read, Just love the story of Abigail and Declan such a sweet couple who were destined to be together. So much love of family and friends this story made me laugh and cry so much love. The end was so touching and sweet I cried happy tears! You rock Deborah Bladon, Greed is definitely my new favorite just love Decky and Abby ❤️❤️
What a wonderful story. Two people who have met, but she thinks he hasn’t seen her before , but unknowingly has seen her at the building where they both work in many times. One night they run into each other, and they realize they have a chemistry, now to figure out where they go from here. Their relationship is rocky, funny, and so much fun. Join in their journey with them, and you’ll find yourself in with them and all their family and friends who mean so much.❤️
Buck boy Declan Wells who is the older brother to Sean Wells ( underwear model extraordinaire his story is book 3 in this series ) finds forever love in Abigail a junior lawyer who is about to represent him. Will they be able separate him being her client during the day and their hot and heavy meet up at night. Author Deborah Bladon does not make her main characters go through crazy over the top antics to get to their hea and that can be refreshing
Ok so we save the best for last. Declan and Abby was a strong couple knowing what they wanted from the start. Declan wood see Abby in the lobby of his building, he knew she was a lawyer at his best friends firm. But he meets her in a custom dress like a Princess, tiara and glass slippers. They eventually agree to become friends with benefits. There story is beautiful story of love building over time. Loved it.
Deborah Glad on has done it again, she gave us an alpha Billionaire who falls in love for the first time. He had never gotten involved for more than one night. Abby had noticed Declan too, never thinking he would be the one. From the moment Declan sees Abby dressed as a princess he is hooked. Abby can't believe he wants her for more than one night, but each time she they are together she falls mire for him too. Love this book as I have loved all of Deborah's books.
An amazing tale - loved it! This is one of Ms. Bladon’s finest. Starts out grabbing your interest immediately. The meeting between Abby and Declan is filled with possibilities and the story takes an unusual turn when Abby must assist Declan. That’s all I am willing to give away. This captures a wonderful love story, difficult to put down. I hope these two will appear in future books, cause I didn’t want their story to end. Highly recommended. I was provided an ARC and this is my honest review.
I absolutely loved this book. The family ties are strong yet you would never know that the supporting characters have their own special books. That’s right! I love Abby and Declan’s story and it reads as a complete standalone!!
Bladon steals all my attention when she publishes. I know I’m going to be entertained. My only issue…I read too fast. Now I need more! A fantastic book!!!
This was good! Declan started off one way but got progressively sappier as the story went on. It was cute to watch. I did feel like Abby had one foot out the door until the last couple of chapters, but overall it was pretty good! I’m also hoping that a Carrie/Rook or even Holden’s book comes out next!!

This story took too long to get to the point. Way too repetitive and not a lot of excitement or enthusiasm. Same thing went on and on. Abby continued to play the attorney worried about her career. That got old after several chapters. Honestly not like Deborah’s usual books.
I love these two and they are soooo 🔥🔥🔥 it was so great seeing all the characters in this series. I say it all the time and I’ll say it again, love the stories and the worlds she creates!!!! You could just see the way he falls so hard for her.
You will never go wrong by reading a book by Deborah Bladon!! I have read every one of her books and the stories grab you at the beginning and I have a very hard time putting my Kindle down.
I loved this latest addition to the Billionaire Buck Boys. It has chemistry, attraction, and romance. The MCs are defined, passionate, and deserving of a HEA. I found this enjoyable read to be entertaining, sweet, and engaging. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
Another homerun for the Buck Boys! I loved Declan and Abby, they were adorable from beginning to end. I almost guessed that Abby would eventually end up pregnant but that was an interesting twist. Thank you again.
What a great read. Not truly an insta-love or insta-lust story, as they worked in the same building and had been eye-balling each other for a few months before they actually spoke to each other. Add in to that the fact that there was no unnecessary OM/OW thrown in was just the icing on the cake.
Deborah knocked it out of the park with this sweet love story. Declan and Abby are sooooo stinking cute. I’m thrilled they decided to embrace their love and make a go of it.
If you’re looking for something with fireworks and substance this is a perfect read for you.
She has done it again. I started with her first book and have read each one for the third time. She is one of my favorite authors and am always waiting for her next one.
