ebook borrow from the library. A fan of Irene's books but haven't read much of her short love inspired titles. Amy and Bryan's story is one of six story series written by different authors with the same Hamilton characters. The subject matter in this story is deep and full of emotions about coping with stress, one's perspective, hindsight and age, second chances and finding God again when you have let him go.
Helt ok. Läste den på tågresa både fram och åter och där passade den bra.Jag är inte lika säker på att jag slutfört den lika snabbt om jag läst den hemma
I enjoyed this story. I hadn't really liked Amy (but I didn't DISlike her, either!) in Heather or Chris' stories, but I really came to understand her in this one. She was trying to do what God wanted her to do, but she was lonely because she hadn't truly gotten over her first love. I also liked how Bryan re-entered Amy's life in an unexpected way, and how he was trying to be the best dad he could be, even though he was heartbroken over losing his wife. I thought that the way his inner conflict between honouring the memory of his first wife, and his emerging feelings for Amy was portrayed was accurate to what I understand about love and loss. I also enjoyed his conversations with his father, brother, and pastor, and appreciated that these men gave him God-honouring insight into the issues at hand. There was another piece of the broader Hamilton Family 'mystery' saga that was hinted at in this book, and I'm intrigued to see where things go from here. 3.5 stars
Amy Hamilton managing editor of family own Nashville Living had to hire the only person they interview that was qualified, ex boyfriend, Bryan Healey towrite a particular column. Bryan had left town to move on after Amy told him she needed space. He mive on and got started a family. Now that he has returned home as a single father raising his 5 year old son. They try to stay our if each others way. Is the love they once share still there. Could they be the father Bryan always wanted. Could she be the mother his son needs.....
Apparently this is part of a multi-author series. Had I read the previous books, maybe I would have followed along easier and enjoyed it more. The storyline was good but the writing/editing seemed lacking at times. It's almost like the book needed to be made shorter so "unnecessary" parts were left out. In the process transitions were jumpy and often confusing.
Sweet romance. I wish I had known it was part of a series when I started it. Even though it was fine as a stand alone read, I would have liked to start with the first book. I will finish the series though so I can see all of the loose ends tied up.
The story of young love and misunderstandings can be told in so many ways. Hannon does a super job with these characters who reunite years later to discover the truth about each other, and fall in love again. Romance may be predictable but Hannon's characters are all believable and good to read.
Library Request, what can I say about this one, Christian romance, pretty lame, could have been over in a few pages but just kept going over and over the same old should he or shouldn't he, lame....
