I spent several weeks in Scotland, where Wigtown and the Covenanters are a keen interest of mine. I was blessed to actually meet the author in Wigtown after I visited the martrys monument. I spent some time talking to her and touring the kirkyard. If you have an interest in that time of Scottish history, this is a great book to read. Very highly recommended.

A fascinating story set in the time of the Covenanters, in south west Scotland. Events take place mostly around Wigtownshire, and there are interesting, geographically and historically accurate, descriptions. It's a moving and evocative story.
