Protective and Possessive Tae-moon making grand gestures of love? WE LOVE TO SEE IT!!!😍😍😍

The fact that the authors have indicated that S3 will have more of the kind of play Seon-woo wants has me vibrating at an insanely high frequency. I need it to be April 🗣RIGHT F*CKING NOW!!!!!!!!

Where volume one of PUNCH DRUNK LOVE was endearingly odd and over the top, this one was starting to verge on cringey territory. I still enjoyed the hell out of it and devoured it, but even I had to pause at times to just shake my head at this MC.

I did feel bad for him at times, though--especially because his interest is so definite and pure that seeing the other guy treat him badly had my empathy going wild. I wanted him to have one of those moments where he just stepped back and let the love interest miss him, but then I realized it would completely go against his character.

We got some more background for the love interest and some good reasoning for why he is the way he is. I'm so curious to see how he's going to be when he finally gives into the MC fully (which may or may not have been hinted at here). I'm definitely looking forward to volume three, because I need to know how chaotic these goblins will get in the future.

Happy reading!

While this is still more comedy than romance, and while, unlike volume one, some of the humor in this was a bit cringey, this volume also gave some much needed backstory for Jeong. His life thus far has been lonely and dull, so it makes sense why he would be intrigued by the colorful chaos Seon-Woo brings. I'm looking forward to where volume three brings them now they are on a more even playing field.

I don't have much to say, except that I love "Punch Drunk Love" so much! Taemoon and Seonwoo are so funny, and cute together; my heart melts everytime they do something for each other (the couple rings, for example).

It's nice to finally see Taemoon just as into Seonwoo as the latter is of him! He's really falling for him, and he's trying to be the best version of himself for Seonwoo, which is very cute ❤

I can't wait to see more of this side in season three.

Seonwoo is still a little perverted freak, but he's so genuine, and different from the main characters we usually see that you can't help but love him 🤭 The way he's not afraid to call out Taemoon's father for his behavior is one of the best thing too 😂

It's been a long time since I enjoyed a BL manhwa, and its characters. And I'm seriously in love with the art, and the details put into it.

I can't wait for season three.

I can’t with these two 🤣. They are both obsessed with each other in their own way and have both been lying to each other this whole time. I can only image the hell Tae-moon’s father and siblings are going to say when they find out he’s with someone finally. I can see things getting extremely messy from here on out.

I liked the first volume…but now it’s kinda too much?? Like the main guy needs to TONE IT DOWN. He can’t keep chasing the love interest if he wants nothing to do with him

I can't quite make this 5 stars, because the confession at the end was wildly over-the-top and awkward, but it was endearing, too, and I liked that it made Jeong laugh.

My only hesitation right now is that Seon-woo is still a little...too pushy, I guess? It's just part of his personality and definitely what enabled the two of them to get together in the first place, but there's a fine line between devotion and the edging into a liiiiittle bit stalkery behavior that Seon-woo is engaging in.

But it's working for Jeong at this point. He's grown to genuinely like Seon-woo as a person, and he also really responds well to someone caring that much about him, without having any desire to use him for his money or status. It fills a missing part of his heart that's been there since his childhood, as the only son of a mother who never wanted him and a rich father who'd just thrown money at them to make the affair go away.

Now that father wants to slide in and make him "family," which Jeong feels is insulting, controlling, and far too little too late. While he's fully aware he's had his father's money all along to smooth the way for him, he has also been working hard at building his own path, and he wants to continue to do so, without falling in line at his family corporation, where he's expected to take the helm and improve their stakeholder relationships. He just wants to live his own life, as a gay man who doesn't care what anyone thinks about him.

I was relieved that one of my concerns with this series seems to be alleviated; Seon-woo asks at the start of this volume if the two of them can be exclusive sexual partners (if not outright boyfriends, since he thinks that's asking too much), and this gets confirmed by the end. In the middle, although Jeong breaks up with Seon-woo - for his own sake, because he thinks he's been treating Seon-woo terribly - he just can't get him out of his head and still isn't interested in anyone else.

It's funny because Seon-woo is supposedly the head over heels one, but Jeong is the one who's actually falling in love. He's such an incredibly nice person, too. I love how mild everything about their relationship is, with Jeong thinking he's been awful all along. Now I hope he does get to see Seon-woo's notebook at some point, so he can see how far they're actually able to go with the whole fantasies realm.

I also really like how balanced the spicy scenes are...I tried one of Moscareto's other works and honestly kind of hated it, but here every time they go to a hotel or whatever, there's conversation and important relationship development, and there's lots and lots of actual plot and character building in between.

I'm enjoying this a lot, although I do kind of wonder where we go from here. They haven't fully talked everything out yet, but they are settling into an actual relationship. They still need to sort out some miscommunications, and probably deal with the terrible people at work, too. So we'll see.

3.5🌟

I ended up liking this volume a bit less than the first one, but it was still enjoyable, so I’m glad to have picked it up quickly after the first one!

I think the main thing about this volume that made me like it less was how cringe Seon-woo was 😂 He’s still my babygirl, and I’d defend him with my life, but he was a bit much here. I get it tho! He’s such a genuine person (both for the better and the worse). He always tries to be true to himself, which is why it was a bit of a bummer when he was trying to promise so hard to Tae-moon that he would change. The only thing that needs to change about Seon-woo is his atrocious fashion sense. That’s it!

I’m glad at least that Tae-moon recognized that it wasn’t right how the coworkers were talking about Seon-woo. He definitely got mad on his behalf several times, and that warmed my heart. It was also a relief to see him start to realize he cares for Seon-woo! He doesn’t really understand his own feelings quite yet, but he’s getting there! It’s what I need to truly root for this relationship. I said it before, and I’ll say it again, I always need my tops to be head over heels for their bottoms. It’s just bare minimum for me! I get that Seon-woo is deranged, but I don’t care!

I appreciated as well getting more backstory about Tae-moon’s life, and why he’s so emotionally closed off. It totally makes sense! He’s grown up either being the object of scorn or the object of greed. Everyone either wants to talk shit about him or use him. That’s not right either! It’s why I was glad that he was starting to see that Seon-woo is not like the others. His interest in Tae-moon is sincere. He doesn’t want things from him in the same way others do.

The next volume better give me more elite smut tho! I feel like I got spoiled in volume one, and this one just threw a bucket of ice cold water on me 😩 I hope both these idiots are able to communicate clearly, though, so that both their needs in that regard are met.

Finally, Tae-moon needs to fully take over Seon-woo’s clothing attire completely. I’m BEGGING. Please dress him every day 😭 He’ll look so much cuter if you do! Hell, take him to get a cuter pair of glasses. ALL OF IT. My babygirl deserves to look cute 24/7.

Anyway ✨ I’m looking forward to continuing the series!

*read up to chapter 48*

Seon-Woo continues to be a loveable nutjob
1st - He makes the brilliant decision to start hitting the gym because Jeong be out here taking him through sex marathons. He will absolutely not let a sex marathon session pass him by simply because he doesn't have the stamina or cardiovascular capacity to keep up

2nd - After a night of the above mentioned sex marathon, the man decides to take a doughnut pillow to work. While this is logical - in Seon-woo's mind that is -, the man clearly didn't think things through coz now people think he has hemorrhoids🤣🤣🤣

3rd - The man asked his fuck buddy's dad is he was his son's former sex slave🤣🤣. Granted he didn't know who he was speaking to, but who blurts out shit like this?

Anyway, I'm glad that the miscommunication from Vol 1 has been taken care of. Now to see how they'll navigate things, especially the sex. Poor Jeong almost passed out when he finally realized that Seon-Woo taking about wanting rough sex and to be abused during sex wasn't an act.

Also I love how this story talks about
1. The reality of same sex relationships in Korea. I've read a couple of same sex manhwas and they are rarely based in Korea. Characters are almost always Korean-American in America - which I guess helps push this topic under the rug. Those where the characters are Korean and in Korea never really talk about the issue, especially regarding the law

2. Superficial people - The absolute 180 that people did once Seon-Woo started dressing better was wild. The amount of K-Dramas I've seen based on this very thing just... They make me wonder quite a lot

3. Workplace bullying and 'HR culture' - The bosses (Mr. Kim) literally trying to get Seon-Woo fired simply because he demands that they be accountable for their fuck ups. Jeong finally realizing how while HR is supposed to back the employees, it never actually does. They always back the company and the poor employee can just go fuck themselves, despite them being the wronged party - and how he's been instrumental in helping the company keep doing this

This continues the Korean office romance in vol. 2. Mr. Jeong quickly realizes that his employee is way too attached to him. Mr. Jeong does his best to break off this crazy person and he soon finds that isn't so easy.

Mr. Kim isn't going to give up. He doesn't really like people accept Mr Jeong. He decides he won't let Mr. Jeong go, not without a fight. He is the stickiest, clingiest character I've seen. He is not afraid of doing anything to get attention. Nothing embarrasses him. I love some of the outfits he wears. It's so American. It embarrasses all the Korean people. I think it's funny. It's just bright colors or sparkly clothes.

I'm pretty sure Mr. Kim is on the spectrum. He sees himself as a robot. He can turn his emotions on and off pretty quickly. He thinks Mr. Jeong is worried about him socially in the office, so he is trying to make friends. That was pretty funny stuff.

We also see Mr. Jeong's background. He is the love child of a very wealthy and powerful family in town. So, he's looked down on. His father comes calling, wanting him to do more with the family business.

The story has some complications now and it's really good. I am really enjoying this story. Some funny moments. We have to wait for it to be translated now.

This is so stupid and yet so compelling what the hell is going on....

On one hand, the entire premise and the fact that Seon-woo keeps confessing his desire to solely have sex is just wack to me, as someone who does not experience sexual attraction.

On the other, I am so extremely compelled now by tragic backstory Tae-moon originally just punishing Seon-woo with sex (for blackmail I am still not sure actually happened?? Did Seon-woo blackmail him?? He didn't right? Tae-moon, in his infinite ability to misunderstand the situation, just straight up made that up, right??) and then accidentally catching feelings for real for real. Like?? That is a good concept, and I cannot wait to see him continue to fall harder and harder by pure accident.

I also hope Tae-moon helps fix Seon-woo's fashion sense. Like PLEASE help him. PLEASE.

Okay, okay, so I think season 2 hasn't quite wrapped up yet, but I love the direction this webtoon has taken. What started out as a misunderstanding has blossomed into something sweet and wholesome. There's still plenty of hot scenes, but they mean so much more when there is acknowledged emotion behind them.

I love how close Seon-woo and Tae-moom have become. They really know each other well at this point, and it's so nice to see them develop, from Tae-moom agreeing to see Seon-woo officially, meeting the parents, and then fighting for him at work. They've really come into their own, and the story is just so enjoyable. I like the direction it's taken, and I'm glad I decided to stick with it!

Rating: Leaning lower like a 2.75* lol

I think the story is starting to irritate me. This kind of reminds me of Love So Pure. Specifically the second couple. The humor is somewhat similar and the MC is just too fucking goofy. I truly can't take his ridiculous fantasies much longer. Like I could forgive the terrible outfit choices if he wasn't such a fucking menace. Then the love interest is over here misunderstanding so much. He's really falling for the MC's face and the made up backstory he made for him when he misinterpreted his words. It's such a MESS. I need these two to have a sit down and very direct conversation. And I need the love interest to dispose of and replace the MC's entire closet. PLEASE.

I forgot where the last volume dropped off, so it was very funny to flip to the first page and start already ramped up to 100. Seon-woo is still a weirdo just living his best life without even realizing he is supposed to care what other people think, and Tae-moon is still making leaps in logic based off of misunderstandings like it is his job. And I still love every minute of it.

The family drama is much more interesting and fun to me than the work drama. So I can’t wait to see more of it in the next volume. (I… may have already read everything that is available online after I finished the first volume.)

There was a lot of pining in this volume. A LOT!!!!! I was waiting for the smut, which we got flashbacks of. It even started with some, but the majority of the book was spent with Jeong trying to reason with himself why he shouldn’t like Park.

The artwork is just as beautiful as volume 1, which really is the biggest reason I picked it up to begin with. I’m waiting for the full She’s All That/Pretty Woman moment to happen, so we’ll see where it goes in the next.

This was what I was looking for!!!
They're so sweet!! And they love each other so much!!
I laughed so much this time!
I love it when there aren't really big problems or silly ways to make the main couple break up. It's just them figuring out their feelings and getting to know each other deeply. The final chapter really made me kick my feet and giggle. So cute.

I just live that he's exactly like his family! They all felt like a warm hug - they were also super frustrating to any villain who was out to get them and that shit had me in stitches. 😭 they simply are too powerful and something has to be done. Can't wait for the third volume to happen. I need to know how they are going to wound up frustrating that company.

This series continues to be unhinged and I can’t help but love it. Seon-woo is so incredibly unserious and so funny without even trying. Tae-moon can be kinda problematic but I feel like hes’ also such a softie and he has his trauma or whatever. I like to see that he’s really coming undone by Seon-woo’s madness and it’s so funny to watch.

I did not like this at all. I'm really not one for the fanatic-type love interest, and Seon-woo fits this cliche to a T. He doesn't actually listen to anything that Jeong says, he deliberately misinterprets situations to fit his fantasies...

Honestly I could go on but at the end of the day, I don't want to. The art was pretty. I didn't like the book.

Nothing really exciting happened in this volume. It’s cute that seon-woo is trying to change his personality for tae-moon but I also love how he’s said he was comfortable in his skin so he didn’t care what his co workers throught of him. Although I think seon-woo is cute I’d be embarrassed or annoyed if someone acted that way with me at least a little bit
