It starts with a felon, a sex worker, and a closeted lesbian CEO getting stuck in an elevator shaft and ends with the three of them playing Russian roulette except with murder

This was actually a lot better than I was expecting. It started off a little quickly with them forming their murder pact when they’re practically strangers, but it turned around rather nicely.

There was a lot of character depth. Even the side characters added a little something to help keep the plot going and the mystery of who murdered who going. The pov shifts could be a little abrupt. I did have to re read some sections as I realized too late that the pov had shifted to someone else’s perspective

The story was fast moving, thought the plot was a little iffy. It did remind me of 8 perfect murders in the sense that it was about murdering for other people because they won’t get caught.

I did like how real their reactions were to their person being murdered and how it didn’t really solve their problems like they thought it would, as murder rarely does.

Three women from completely different ethnicities, backgrounds, and social economical status, first laid eyes on each other at a doctor's office. an unfortunate chain of events brewing in the background causes them to become stuck in an elevator in an upscale building in downtown new York. as they're waiting to be rescued, the hot headed Latina, ivory skinned CEO, and gorgeous black woman with an illicit lifestyle, began to discuss things they thought would forever stay a secret. soon, they discover that they all do have one thing in common - one person in their lives that needs to be eliminated.

Hours later, they settle into a hotel room to discuss some hard truths and even harder details as they come up with a plan they believe will work. Each of them will draw the name of their intended targets without any one of them knowing who was chosen. Now the three women are responsible for taking car of a total stranger's problems in such a way that neither one of them will get caught. Unfortunately, bad intentions will have their own challenges and the women are forced to learn who they can trust and one decides to renege on the deal when it's much too late.

Donna Hill is known for sizzling romance, but this one was a different kind of heat. I was hooked from the very beginning, and the story line an d the suspense woven into the plot kept me guessing until the very end. Highly recommended.

Imagine the following: You feel as if you've been slighted by a significant other. That wrongdoing causes you to spend time in jail (for something you didn't do), possible loss of your business as well as a forthcoming divorce. That slight could also lead to the loss of a special friend as well as a great deal of political fallout. How would you come to grips with that? What would you do?

Tess, Kim and Nicole are three women in such a predicament. They meet each other for the first time in an OB-GYN physician's office. After getting stuck in an elevator, due to a blackout, conversation and a demented relationship is formed and the best laid plans are made. Plans for revenge. It has often been said that revenge is a dish best served cold. Is it?

Troy, Trust and the whistleblower of Tess's business would soon find out. Donna Hill takes you on a journey with these ladies. She acquaints you with the wrongs that were done and the revenge that was exacted upon those responsible. Read Getting Hers and you be the judge as to whether revenge is a dish best served cold....

This was an entertaining, keep-you-guessing book. There was some unbelievability to parts of the book. Like what are the chances that these women would meet in an elevator, come up with a plan, and all ACTUALLY go through with it--but hey, that's the beauty of fiction.

A story of three unlikely women bonded together for one common goal - REVENGE! I very much enjoyed the storyline as it changed focus between all three women frequently. The sexual encounters were also top notch reading. I was slightly disappointed about the ending. Easy and fast read.

I read this book in one day staying up u til 3:30am because the end of each chapter left me wanting to know more.

The chapters were short, the characters were very engaging, and the story was at an excellent pace. It wasn’t long and drawn out or full of fluff.

This was a decent read. It moved along at the normal speed, but I was left with a lot of unanswered questions at the end of the book.
