Fear is something everyone experiences. He wasn't scared of death; he wasn't born a saint or an angel. If anything, he came from down below, gracing the earth to strike fear in men and women. He came from a legacy of men who led an outlaw motorcycle group, foundering it and running it. Each generation, a man from his blood line took the role of President of the Viper's Mother Charter. And was called the 'Devil'. Once he had a target, that was it. So when he led a massacre on another motorcycle charter, no one was going to be left alive. And no one was. Being named the "bikers blood bath", it was the state's worst massacre. Summer was stuck in an abusive relationship. She fell for the good guy and got nothing but bruises and broken bones. So when fate places the Devil in her way, why would he appeal to her? Colt thinks no one could love him for the soulless beast he is. So how could a woman named after the warmth season see in him? How could she ever accept his past and dark future? But could the reason he led that massacre be the reason she falls in love with him?
Not only did booktok lie to me, but if there was only one way in the world to read and it was glalatea or whatever tf it’s called I’d rather go blind. I’ve read instagram comments that had more literary prowess than this
I’m only giving it a three stars until I can reread it and finish it. I know the story was good but I never finished because it’s on Galatea and I got rid of the app.
On Galatea it is three books put into one. The first book had good pacing. The second book did alright, but the author lost me by the third book. It ends with a cliffhanger and there is a fourth book, a finale if you will. Personally, I could not get myself to read the finale, so I skipped to the end. I feel that the book could’ve been better if it was paced differently or if there were less characters involved. It kept skipping between different POVs, which gets confusing fast.
I read this on Galatea but I liked it so much that I read it online. Great book. Even if it was predictable, at least the main character wasn't annoying
Unfortunately it was just not great. Booktok lied. And it's only available on Galatea, takes forever to read until you want to pay $15 for it, definitely not worth that. I would not recommend this book at all, sorry.
Let’s get this out of the way: Colt is dark, messy, and absolutely soaked in blood, trauma, and biker testosterone. So… naturally, I ate it up.
This review covers the first three books, which are grouped together on Goodreads (because why make things easy?). I’ll review Book 4 separately.
Book 1: Hooked me hard. Summer is stuck in an abusive relationship and crosses paths with Colt—biker royalty and the literal Devil of the Viper’s MC. Somehow, he's terrifying *and* lovable? Yeah, I crushed. Hard.
Book 2: Still good! The plot thickens—more blood, more bodies, more biker chaos. New characters show up and the stakes climb.
Book 3: …Started to drag. Too many POVs, and honestly, some I couldn’t care less about. I found myself flipping pages just to get back to Colt or Summer. That said, the ending hit with a cliffhanger that basically screamed, “You’re not done. Finish what you started.” So here I am, charging into Book 4.
The spice is mild—not fade to black, but definitely not the filthiest biker book out there. If you're here purely for smut, manage your expectations.
⚠️ Trigger Warnings:⚠️ Abuse, violence, trauma, and gore. Colt isn’t your morally gray biker—he’s straight-up dark. You’ve been warned.
Note: This is only available on the Galatea app, and unless you pay, you’ll be waiting between chapters like it’s 2010 Wattpad. Book 1 has immersive audio and effects, which was super cool—but they drop off after that. Sad.
This book is great, following a man's life from a line of outlaw biker gang leaders known as Devil. It is a dark story, revolving around violence, fear, and the unexpected love between the Devil and a woman named Summer, who has endured a violent relationship. The strange attraction between a man with a bloody past and a woman looking for safety makes for a dramatic and dark story. Just as Geometry Dash Scratch is challenging and relentless, this book takes the reader on a journey filled with tension and intense emotions.
If you're reading this book bc of some tik tok, reel or insta story don't. The scene that drew me into this book, or rather that is supposed to be associated with this book doesn't exist it's not actually in this story. Disappointing I know.
However, if you want to read about two characters that have zero chemistry this book is for you. If you want to have zero investment into them this book is for you. There are too many short POV's that leave you feeling unfulfilled and unconnected.
Honestly the whole plot is lacking and the fact that you can only read it from a pay or wait 6 hrs by chapter just isn't worth it.
The only thing that got me to read the next "book" (it's split into four short books) was the cliff hanger that immediately left me disappointed in book 2. I definitely won't read book 3. The plot of book 2 is basic and expected apparently by everyone but the characters 🙄
It was interesting enough to finish the book. But it ended on a cliff hanger....with too many "chess pieces" still on the board. And I can't seem to find if there is going to be another to finish the story.
** UPDATE** I finished the last part of the story. It was intense but I'm glad they all had a happy ending after all the shit they went through.
Enjoyable episodic read of this MC gang, brother’s best friend, romantic suspense, forbidden romance. Great suspense with well selected cliffhangers to keep readers engaged. Some minor grammatical errors but I didn’t feel like they impacted the plot in any significant way. Twisted, unpredictable, and overall engaging. Definitely worth a read!
Booktok completely lied about this book. When you look up this book on tiktok almost all the scenes are not in this book even w the op replying to all comments saying that it’s this book.
it was pretty good for a book with not alot of details. I liked the plot or should I say plots because this book was everywhere I swear. I liked Eva though she is a cutie.
I almost never say “dnf” — it’s a v short list as I pride myself on completing a book and being able to give a thorough review, but I couldn’t keep going. I just did not care at all.
This was my first biker story and I thought it was really good! I love Colt and Summer’s story. It was a great read and I think I might read more of the similar sort of books!
1.5 ⭐️- listened on Galatea - was ranked high on the recommended but I wasn’t impressed. It was okay to have on in the background while cleaning the house. Did not like how quickly characters would flip on their “values”. Also never a big fan about glorifying murdering or gangs so probably should have not even tried listening to it.
