Ginny, Reece, and Chandler's lives continue in Sugar Cove over the Christmas holiday. When a new arrival comes to down, will Ginny's life be turned upside down? Or will this unexpected guest bring a breath of fresh air to her life in Sugar Cove?
What a fun novella with just the right amount of drama during this Christmas Season. It was the perfect read for me after much heavier ones. We continue on with the saga of the Lighthouse Cafe and Ginny, Reese and Chandler’s Christmas in Sugar Cove.
Thanks to Ms. Reed for the ARC. This is my honest opinion.
A fun little story that continues the saga of the Gridley family as Ginny, Chandler, Reece and now Ginny's best friend Farrah, approach Christmas. Farrah as left her husband convinced he's cheating on her after reading a text message on his phone. Ginny tries to convince her she needs to at least talk to him but Farrah isn't budging. Business at the cafe suddenly drops off threatening the ladies livelihood and "the other woman" contacts Ginny with a tempting offer. The slow moving romance between Aiden and Ginny continues to heat up as Chandler and Hudson plan their own wedding.
I really enjoyed reading this little novella that was fairly packed with a lot of story. I'm looking forward to the next book due out in December.
Bebe Reed is a new to me author. As a Michigander, I am intrigued with lighthouses. When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. A Lighthouse Christmas is book 3 in the series. A Holiday Novella with a Florida setting. Ginny and her daughters Reece and Chandler face their fears and challenges, when Ginny is forced to leave her home, buys a lighthouse, and opens the Lighthouse Cafe. As a foodie, I enjoyed the Cafe's menu from the Magnolia Sisters Cookbook. Enjoyed the Florida setting, the resilient characters plus some annoying ones, romance for women over fifty, and some plot twists.
The Lighthouse series, with its cast of characters, continues their journey to happiness, attempting to thrive after so many bumps in the road... In this novella, I expected a short story , but should have known, this author takes no short cuts! This book introduces more characters, good and bad, and circumstances as packed with surprises as her previous books. Begin with Book One! you will be glad you did!
I have loved this series and I can’t wait to read the next book! Ginny’s business has been impacted by a rumor started by the ex-wife of her current boyfriend, her best friend Farrah has suddenly shown up on her doorstep after leaving her husband, and Christmas is only a few weeks away. Read how it all gets resolved…you’ll love this book as much as I did!
I enjoyed this book, as I did the first two Lighthouse stories. One note, whoever edited this book was not as good as the first two. There are a bunch of punctuation errors and incorrect words like choose instead of chose.
I’m looking forward to the 4th book, to seeing how everyone’s life turns out.
A delightful novella, where the bad guy (a woman) is defeated without lowering oneself to her level, a marriage is on it’s way to healing and the cafe is on its way to re-righting itself. Aiden’s ex is trying to destroy Ginny and her friend has moved in and taken over. Despite all this chaos, Ginny mad her girls are determined to keep Christmas special.
Today is publication day for A Lighthouse Christmas: A Christmas Novella by Bebe Reed. A Lighthouse Christmas is book three in the Gulf Coast Getaway Series and it’s absolutely adorable. There is romance, a sprinkle of mystery and a whole lot of family love. I thoroughly enjoyed this Novella and can’t wait for book 4 in the series to see what transpires in the lives of Ginny, Reece and Chandler in the idyllic Sugar Cove. Thank you Bebe Reed for my arc of The Lighthouse Christmas and giving me the opportunity to be a part of the review team.
I love the ladies of Sugar Cove. They do know how to stir up trouble at times though. Christmas is in the air in this book and decisions also have to be made. Very entertaining!
Amazon synopsis: It's Christmas at the Lighthouse Cafe. The decorations are up. The menu's decided on. And Ginny's best friend Farrah is hiding out from her husband. Looks like this Christmas might not be what everyone's expecting. Things only get worse when Savannah, Ginny's dead husband's mistress, shows up and makes Ginny an offer that she might not refuse. On top of that, the cafe's customer's are dropping like flies. What is going on?
It's going to take more than a sprinkling of Christmas spirit to iron out all the wrinkles in the Rigby's lives. Can Ginny and her daughters find the hope and peace that they're searching for, or will this Christmas be the worst ever?
The Gulf Coast Getaway series has been such a rewarding experience. The past coming together with the past & present has unfolded precisely as it should. Definitely recommend reading it.
I enjoyed the book. I was really confused since a couple of the characters had their names changed but if you just ignore that part and get into the story it’s good.
...continuing the story that I've thoroughly enjoyed. The new little quirks and twists were interesting... but I'm hoping this next book wraps things up nicely...
Each book is an easy read with a little drama thrown in. This is a stand alone novel but reading previous books will give you insight to the characters.
