Twin sisters, Rachael and Riley, shared everything, an apartment, a business (Twin Cups), and, as it turns out, their love of Rachael’s fiancé. Unfortunately for Rachael, she learned about her sister’s betrayal when walking down the aisle in her Silver Linings Wedding Dress Auction Gown.
Toby Sauveterre has a crush on his favorite barista at Twin Cups, Rachael. But when he gets the nerve to ask her out, he discovers she’s already engaged. Then his aunt hires a new employee who is brokenhearted over a ruined wedding and needs a fresh start. Toby suddenly believes in miracles in the form of second chances.

Awe it was so good and cute and OMG I wanted to kill her sister and ex they seriously didn't see anything wrong with what they did. But oh Toby was just so freaking perfect! I really do wish that the epilogue would of been further out into their future though.
Loved loved this sequel. Book one is still one of my fav Mary Oldham books and book 2 of the series does not disappoint! Mary’s description of different gemstones throughout are so vivid I wish I could head over to the books’ jewelry store. I’m truly love how she weaves something from other books and series’ into her novels. And having a Vizsla puppy with a role is the icing on the cake. Grab this novel and head to the beach, soaker tub or your fav book nook.
I could have done without Rachael's lack of backbone regarding her family during the meat of the story.
After a betrayal like that, I can't imagine wanting to speak to my sister again. I was wishing Rachael would have justy blocked her and her mother and be done with it.
I expected the betrayal and wasn’t surprised by the mean spirited people, but didn’t expect them to get by scott-free. There simply were no consequences in this book for the obnoxious, betraying sister, the ‘hoity-toity’ mother, nor the disgusting fiancee.
I knew by reading the story introduction that this was about betrayal but thought at least there would be SOME accountability, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The guilty parties felt justified and were downright heartless, conniving and not very smart.
In life, one eventually reaps what they sow. We absolutely see no reaping, no guilt, no remorse, no consequences inside these pages. That’s a shame. All we get to see is the guilty parties rewarded.
🙄 THE BAD GUYS…🙄
✒︎ Riley felt entitled to everything… and the problem is, she always was rewarded. Why not bring her down a notch or two, show her she’s really not that special after all?
✒︎ Mother… Oh boy, there was nothing motherly about her. The only twin she cared about was Riley and it showed loud and clear. Mama Dearest needed a good dose of humiliation to pounce on her.
✒︎ Derrick, the cheating fiancee, was gutless and thought way too highly of himself. He was a liar, felt entitled and needed a BIG comeuppance.
✒︎ Dad… he shows some possibilities of being able to change, but of course we don’t get to see that inside these pages.
😇 THE GOOD GUYS…😇
✒︎ Rachel needed some backbone. She allowed herself to be used and she ignored all the red flags. She was the ‘smart’ twin, why not show it?
✒︎ Toby gets the gold medal. Love how he and his family treat Rachel. They are real family.
❤️🔥NEEDED…NOT NEEDED❤️🔥
… Toby’s abusive ex was an afterthought in this book playing a very small role. However, we get to ‘see’ her ‘pay the price’ for her antics. Why her and not the main characters? The paragraph on why Toby had to leave her was plenty.
… All the wasted pages on unnecessary chit-chat as well as on Toby’s ex, could have been used to allow the reader ‘see’ and ‘feel’ those bad guys learning some valuable lessons.
… We’re able to see how Riley and Derrick used Rachel to teach/instruct/show them the path to success, but now without her how are they going to continue that success? They NEEDED her so they wouldn’t fall flat on their faces. Soooo?
I absolutely adored this story! Mary Oldham’s stories are always so well-written with relatable characters and a captivating plot. In this story, we have our twins Rachael and Riley and the oh so sweet and smeggsy Toby Sauveterre. I don’t want to give too much away. I strongly suggest you jump in feet first and hang on. This book is full of feels. It’s passionate, raw, emotional, fun, and undeniably heartfelt. There’s humor, family love, friendship bonds, heartbreak, and a second change at love. I couldn’t put it down! I was completely engrossed with the characters and storyline. Thank you go the author and Give Me Books PR for gifting me this super sweet book in exchange for an honest review.
“Well, you know what they say,” said Rachael. “When a man marries his mistress, it just provides a job opening. Sisters should always come before misters.”
Rachael and Derrick had been childhood sweethearts. She and her twin sister worked together at their business and Derrick went into the army. But little did Rachael know what else they were sharing. Derrick decided to announce he wasn't marrying her at.the.altar! So much for the fragile bond of twins!
This is the story of how Rachael moves on to find herself and understand her bond with herself is more important than any bond with anyone else. Oh what a juicy storyline awaits anyone who reads this book! Highly Recommended 5/5
Rachael thought she had everything; the dress, the man and a new business but then she was very wrong. Toby Sauveterre had been going to Twin Cups just to see Rachael so when he found out she was getting married he knew he had missed his chance. But will fate give him another chance? I loved this story and enjoyed all the crazy characters. I was glad to get more of Leslie's story as well. Such a sweet series, highly recommend.
This is the second book in this series. Rachael and Riley are twins, who share an apartment, a business, and a love for the same man, Rachael’s fiancé. Toby has been going into “Twin Cups” to see Rachael who he has a crush on, and finding out she is engaged he is sure he has lost his chance, but fate has other plans for them. This is a well written story which has emotions, humor, family, friendships, and love, which leads to an entertaining page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Rachel was getting married or so she thought until she was at the altar and her fiancé said no, he loved her twin sister Riley a totally selfish narcissistic witch Broken Rachel had to start over again, but she found love, real love with Toby and got her happy ever after. Great read
Hated the groom, loved the bride. There's ow women drama times two, cheating, sweet revenge, and a HEA guaranteed. This book is well written and thought out.
