A novelization of the upcoming feature film sequel takes readers once again into the lives of the creepy, kooky, mysterious, spooky, and altogether ooky Addams Family. Original. Movie tie-in.
This could just be because of my love for the Addams Family, but I loved this book. It felt like watching the movie but it was cool to see the characters’ thoughts as well. Of course it wasn’t the most groundbreaking or well written book ever, but I still had such a good time reading it.
I've always preferred Values, but reading the novelizations back to back makes it obvious that the script for the first movie is much sharper. Then again, it may simply be that the book was adapted from an earlier draft of the screenplay. Also, no featured photos from the film? What a rip-off.
Pretty good adaptation of the movie. It moves events around and has a few extra scenes, but it’s mostly filler and doesn’t really add to the story. However, the movie and story are good anyway, so I still enjoyed reading it.
