The romantic and poignant second novel in the stunning trilogy by a New York Times bestselling author about a down-and-out waitress who’s swept off her feet by a rock star. Rocker Tucker White saved down-and-out waitress Cass Daniels from everyone in her life who was hurting her—except herself. In the much-anticipated follow-up to White Trash Beautiful, Teresa Mummert’s New York Times and USA Today bestseller, Tucker and Cass are finally together, but does that mean they get their happy ending? Living on a tour bus with your boyfriend’s rock band is nothing like living in a trailer with your drug-addicted mother—except for the drama. After all the pain and grief that marked the beginning of Cass and Tucker’s relationship, they’re finally building a life together—just the two of them, his three bandmates, some groupies, and thousands of screaming fans. And not everyone is as happy about the couple’s reunion as they are. The last thing Cass wants to do is create friction within the band—especially when Damaged is on the brink of achieving the success Tucker has worked so hard for. She’s thrilled to finally be with a man who loves and protects her as much as he does. But how can she carve out a place for herself in this new rock star world . . . without being swallowed by the shadow of Tucker’s fame?
TERESA MUMMERT is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. Her work includes word-of-mouth bestselling, White Trash Trilogy, which landed her a three-book publishing deal with Simon & Schuster. She is also the author of the wildly popular Honor Series which chronicles the taboo romance between a student and her college professor. To date, she's written over twenty-five novels and plans for many more releases in the future.
I am having hard time to like this book more than 3 stars. Miss Mummert build up a good plot with focusing on trust issue between Tuck and Cass. The conclusion is anti climax. And that is really bumps me down.
The writing is monotone. With the ending like anti climax, I wish it has more interesting on the writing. To be honest, the plot bored me around 30 to 60% mark.
Wasn't how I thought it would be. I felt that any arguments they had weren't fully resolved and just brushed off. Alot didn't even really make sense and was all over the place. Any jealousy Cass had with chicks being all over Tucker was also brushed off and he didn't seem to care. She was a coward when it came to their new manager Donna and should've told Tucker the things she was saying, as much as she done well and not let them get to her, I wanted Donna to pay for the things she said. It just seemed like Tucker didn't care about a lot of things. I never thought he would allow to be told by Donna he shouldn't promote the fact that he has a girlfriend and she write the songs. Doesn't seem like the same selfless Tucker from the first novel. I really thought he would've told her to get F***ed. Also the events that happened towards the end were so rushed I got whiplash! Over all this one was a let down and even though the third is about Eric, I really think Cass and Tucker needed more.
I kept waiting for something really great or tragic to happen. The first book was so full of grit and heartache that I guess I had my expectations up for this book. I probably shouldn't have done that. It's not that this book was disappointing, it just didn't have anything huge happen which is completely different from the first one.
This book is just the story of a girl with a rock star boyfriend. They choose to take their love on the road and it is essentially the struggles of a normal relationship except she has to deal with other women hanging on her guy and a bitchy band manager. BORING. Yes, they still have their struggles, but nothing that can't be solved by a lengthy conversation.
Things I DO like about this book:
Eric. I love the relationship he seems to develop with Cass. After a rough start, those two really buddy up and Eric is someone interesting. His past is riddled with loss and heartache and it is just the kind of thing that would make a great story (which is probably why Ms. Mummert wrote the next book in this trilogy).
Sara. Sara is the kind of girlfriend that I would love to have. She is strong and smart and supportive and is there when you need her. She makes mistakes and she does some dumb shit (Derek, for one), but she seems to have really stepped in and helped Cass when she needed it. I enjoyed watching this friendship blossom.
I still like Tucker. He's kind of a dick, but at the same time, he means well. His execution isn't always great, but sometimes guys need a bit of a learning curve. Anyway, he's still sexy rocker, biker, badass and I wouldn't mind if he showed up at my local place of employment and offered me a ride...on his bike. Yes. That. ;)
I will continue with this trilogy, but only because I would really like to see Eric and Sara. In all honesty, this book, White Trash Damaged, is a useless sequel as far as continuing the story of Cass and Tucker, but it is the stage used to set us up for A Song For Us.
My 2 star rating has more to do with content/storyline and character traits than it does the actual writing style. I felt that the storyline was very cliche and at times a bit whiney. I also feel like both Cass & Tucker lost their balls in this one compared to the first. Where Cass was strong and self-sufficient in book #1, she felt weak and extremely naive in book #2. Tucker was such a pushover and let others dictate his actions.
There was constant bickering between the characters throughout the entire book and nothing ever felt truly resolved. Simply swept under the rug for later. I don't mind conflict, but can't the characters be happy for a given period of time before the next "problem" arises??
Because of all this, I found myself somewhat annoyed and less concerned with Cass & Tucker, and more interested in the rest of the band...
Awww:') I enjoyed this book a lot more than the previous one. Everything from the plot to the characters *especially Cass* to the writing style was way better here! I'm so excited to finally get lost in Eric's world I'm starting book 3 nowwwww
YES! A Full Out, Mind blowing, Earthshattering YES!White Trash Damaged is just amazing... We have our Damaged guys going wild and our girl stronger than never... Seriously this was far better than White Trash Beautiful.
I've seen that many people have loads of mixed felling's about these books, but I don't understand why... The White Trash series are spectacular, the story is heart breaking and the characters are perfectly combined, this is a book definitely worth re-reading. I personally fell instantly in love with Cass's "Cinderella" story which had a much darker side to it...
This book starts us off right where it was left off, with Cass and Tucker handling their new relationship and their loss together. But it instantly adds pressure due to Cass going with Tucker and the band on their Tour... which she's a bit afraid over the fear of guys not accepting her.
I say this is the rockiest book in the series so far. Right from the start we see fights and tension and disrespect. It's surreal. The book really was a test to Cass and Tucker's relationship. Now that Damaged are hitting it big time, there are more fans, more GIRLS willing to do anything to be with Tucker and it's crazy... It's going to be hard on Cass. It also shows us a LOT more on the life of the other Band members like the twins and even Eric, it tell us their stories and brings us much closer to the guys who seemed quite off in the previous book.
I love Eric. He is such an important character in this book and in the start I was like: Hell no, I don't like that kid... But know I swallowed my words because he rocks! We will get to hear about his whole story, his grudge with Tucker and his complicated love life... and I loved to meet him because we see a side of him that is interesting and that actually cares and isn't mean or makes him look like an asshole... Seriously, Teresa couldn't have done a better job writing Eric and making us care about him!
“Not hard at all.” He spun around and smiled at them.
“That’s what she said.”
Eric doubled over laughing, causing everyone to turn in our direction. “She would never say that. Seriously, you suck at this.” His face was red as tears filled his eyes from laughing so hard.
The Twins are just as crazy as their always been. I wouldn't mind with a bit more participation from them in the book, because sometimes they didn't appeared nearly as much and I kind of missed them and their crazy ways. But oh well.
“How’s it going?” I asked as I watched a petite blonde blot Terry’s cheek with makeup.
“They’re making us bitches, Cass,” Chris whined, and I snorted as the woman gave him a glare.
Man, Cass and Tucker are even more complicated then never. If you think these two don't know what jealousy is you better be prepared because the book if filled with intense fighting and jealousy outbreaks... This is a rocky road for them by having to adjust sharing Tucker with millions of people and sharing Cass with the band members. It's crazy for them but it's going to be sweet and it's going to make their love even stronger. I just didn't appreciated one thing... They didn't have any alone time until the end of the book.... Where are the steamy sessions these two had in book one?
And there was no place for jealousy in our future together. Easier said than done when you’re dating a rock star.
Cass is so much stronger. She really grew as a character to a girl who is unafraid to find something to fight for, who finally has a purpose in life. And I like her so much more for it now.
Tucker is a psycho... He's hot and all but he will go a bit bonkers in here.... And there were times I wanted to threw him over the bus but I guess that's part of liking a character... You just never know what you are going to get...
Donna is the new band manager.... Can you believe it? A new girl in the bus... Too bad she's a bitch... But I kind of like her, it will take me another book to actually make me pay attention to her but I think she's got skills.
White Trash Damaged isn't just a book, it's a life lesson. It's beautiful and daunting and it's all about trust. Seriously how can this book not be worldwide famous by now?
I love this book at 31%.. the poetry is really good.. and ima fool for good poetry.. it brings out the closet romantic when it's done in the.. (about a real topic thing) .. i kinda hate poetry about nothing but love and breakups.. i feel that this went so much deeper and there was seconds when i think back to the last story that i feel it. the last book was cookie cutter an outline.. of someone who was escaping without looking to far inside for that true escape.. for the true release.. for the true inner peace.. this time i get the feeling that the search for inner peace is on.. and im digging it.
ok we have a big problem 1. second book BARELY any background info on the dude it's like fucking a guy with a mask on. maybe he has a hot body but it's kinda scary when you take a second to think about it 2. nobody treats your woman like that shame on you dude
over all good story i liked it but i get the feeling that this guys background is either gonna be a huge rich boy Dud or it's gonna be as shocking as the fifty shades master like to beat and fuck women who look like his mother moment. the level of fucked up was high.. and yes the master is dark

Again, mixed feelings about this book. The story continues where it left off. This time Cass is going with Tucker on his tour. Living in a tour bus with his three bandmates, some groupies, and thousands of screaming fans and to top it all, there's the new bitchy manager, Donna.
There is so much emotions going on in this book... Cass wanting to fit in, doesn't want to cause friction with the band members, her insecurities... Tucker wanting to protect Cass, his afraid she will run off and leave him again. And so much more!!!!
There are so many things that is so wrong... and it just kinda move forward after. Ugh.... It makes me wanna...
This book takes place only a few months after the stop of the previous book and continues the story between Tucker and Cast.
They are now going on tour together with the band Damaged and it goes through the trials and tribulations of finding their feet under stressful circumstances.
With a new band manager that wants them to split up, their are lots of obstacles put in their path which will either make or break their relationship.
Mostly the book deals with the trust between the two along with jealousy. Cass makes new friends and finds a family that she has always longed for along with a new found inner strength.
I loved Cass and Tucker in White Trash Beautiful so I was super excited for this book! However, I am disappointed. I kept waiting and waiting. I'm actually still waiting. I figured there would be growth in Cass and Tucker's relationship but I didn't even feel like there was a relationship. At all. I didn't feel the chemistry between them. All there was was jealousy. I felt more connected to Eric than I did anyone else.
Tucker... I really don't know what to make of Tuck in this book. I feel like he didn't ever stand up for Cass unless he was jealous. Then he came sweeping in like some maniac. I think Tuck has some issues but I can't be sure because we never found out. We never find out much of anything actually.
There are several scenes in the book where you want to slap Tuck yourself, scream at him. But Cass just lets it go and I am going to say that is because she isn't her own person and is too dependent on Tuck. I also found myself screaming at Cass to to grow a backbone and stand up for herself .
Now, there were a couple of times where I felt happy for Cass and Tuck but it never lasted long or grew very strong. I really feel like this plot could have been amazing. Amazing. But somewhere along the lines the ball was dropped and it came out... okay.
The writing itself is great! The idea was great! I just never became connected to the characters like I did in the first book.
Tucker White, more men should be like you!!! I fell totally in lust with you!
This was a great story! The heroine had a tendency to be VERY insecure which made me crazy sometimes but Tucker...ahhhhh Tucker....he made it all worth it!!!
I thought the third book of this series was more Tucker and Cass but am somewhat pleased to find out Eric has his own book!!
White Trash Damaged takes off immediately where the first book ends. Tucker is now on tour, and Cass joins him. This book confused me. Tucker was more closed up than in even the first book. He said so many sweet things, but I didn't feel his words.
I wanted to know more about Tucker, what he did on tour when Cass was away, more of his back story.
This was good, not great, but I am invested in it now so I will read the third in this series.
I must say I love this series and can't wait for love song. I felt the torn feelings of Cass and Tucker as an observer of their tragic love story. I cried with Cass, hung my head with Tucker and fell in love with Eric and want to hit Sarah to wake her up. It is a must read!!!! Don't pass the opportunity to read this really, you will love it.
More than a 5 star book! This book was very much worth the wait b/c I absolutely loved it!!! Cass and Tucker are amazing and every emotion on this roller coaster of a book was worth reading! I cannot wait to read Eric's story in White Trash Love Song.
YES! A Full Out, Mind blowing, Earthshattering YES!White Trash Damaged is just amazing... We have our Damaged guys going wild and our girl stronger than never... Seriously this was far better than White Trash Beautiful.

This book follows Tucker White and Cass Daniels on the crazy experience of living on a tour bus. Damaged has got much bigger. Therefore the drama is much more. I liked Cass a lot more in this book for some reason. She was much more confident about herself and who she wanted to be. Ever since Tucker pulled her out of the trailer park and she never looked back she was much more confident about herself and her capabilities. There were still some issues which she had to work with but all in all she was much happier. On the other hand, the big break up she had with him in the middle to the end of the book was so heartbreaking and I understood why she did it but I also felt like it was not needed. She knew what it was like to be a rock star and she should understand that most of what Tucker did was not controlled by him. It was hard but at least they worked it out. Tucker was a great guy in this book. He tried to understand and sort out Cass’s problems. However, he was still learning about his new career and some things even he did not understand. There were some things which I did hate him for like not acknowledging that Cass wrote some of the really good songs which he was singing. I hated the manager at first sight. She was pushy. I could understand where she was coming from but she had no reason to dislike Cass when she had done nothing to her. I hate girl drama! Ugh! It makes me want to scream. It was nice getting introduced to the new characters. Eric and Sarah. Sarah was really kick ass though she was in a wrong relationship and she could not see him. Why do amazing girls always get stuck in sucky ass relationships beats me. How do they not see what a jerk the guy is?? And if they do see it why do they not get out of it? There are so many books when I see this happening and I feel like punching the girls and beating the hell out of the guys because seriously?? Anyways when my emotions are so strong about characters in the book, you can always tell I like the book. So I guess thats a good sign. I am giving this book four stars and I am going to read more books by Teresa Mummert. The plot was interesting and like most new adult books it was basically the same. But which girl does not love happy endings and stories about true love prevailing no matter what. It does make any girl feel good inside and hope for the best and is that really wrong?
White Trash Damaged is Mummert’s second book focusing on Cass, a woman used to being beaten down but who still hopes for more out of life than what she’s been given. After losing a baby in book one she felt lost and subsequently pulled away from the one person in her life who treated her like a human and not a means to an end, her rocker boyfriend Tucker. Now back together she’s going on the road with him and his rising band, Damaged, which presents them with a host of all new problems. Cass’s need to fit in and her shaky new start are threatened when she realizes what living with the band will entail. Managers, frisky groupies, hot music videos and a smaller living space than the trailer she grew up in. Even Tucker can’t protect her from herself and unless she grows up, and fast, this new world will swallow her whole.
I found White Trash Damaged to be better than book one, White Trash Beautiful, which I did not like at all. In fact when I started this one I had incredibly low expectations as to how the story would progress. Cass does seem slightly more mature in this one so she does seem to have grown, which was a MAJOR gripe from me in the last book. She thinks things through now and though she does act on occasion without processing all the given information, when she does is completely understandable.
The interaction between band mates was well wrote and I enjoyed seeing them learn how to live in such close quarters together even when harboring some deep seeded arguments. In fact I loved everything that had to do with the actual band. My problems were all about the main characters together. After losing their baby Cass is understandably reluctant to jump back into a sexual relationship with Tucker. Which is fine. I get it. But she leads him around by his dick constantly. Getting him all worked up and then she pulls out the “I’m not ready” card. Now….she has the RIGHT to do that. Sure. But she SHOULDN’T do that. It made me hate her just a little. He was hurting too. It was his baby after all.Tucker acts like a total douche many times throughout the book but never more so than when he takes credit for something Cass had done. What a total dick move on his part. Especially since he knew what this thing meant to her and how nervous she was to even approach this particular issue. They are slightly toxic together which gives the book a very angsty feel.
I also really disliked the insurmountable problem with their new manager. It was flimsy. She’s of the mind that Tucker having a girlfriend is the most horrible thing ever and she wants Cass gone. Now, I don’t know about everyone else but the thought of a lead singer of a band…or an actor even….having a girlfriend has never stopped me from wanting to ride him like a bucking bronco at a rodeo. So to make the manager’s entire argument about Cass the fact that fans wouldn’t want Tucker because he had a girlfriend was downright laughable. I’m pretty sure Jessica Biel was an afterthought for everyone wanting Justin Timberlake…..Jessica who?
White Trash Damaged is better than book one but I think this series could be so much better. Given the right obstacles, more conflict and harder writing I think these could easily be books readers would never forget. As is they get lost in a sea of new adult romance, easily trumped by bigger and better story lines.
I give White Trash Damaged by Teresa Mummert 3 stars
I had just re-read White Trash Beautiful the week prior to being able to sit down with Cass and Tucker in the continuation of their love story. I have to say I was really disappointed and wanted a lot more from this book.
Cass is launched almost right out of the trailer park and into a Rock Stars life style. She's already run from Tucker once thinking he was better without her and her baggage... However he wasn't taking no for an answer when he whisked her away into this grueling travel schedule, parties and social setting that Cass not only felt she didn't fit into but she was inept to be a part of. Her insecurities were an issue with the lifestyle she was thrust into and I truly didn't feel like Tucker did anything to ease the situation for her. He was so dismissive of her feelings at times I almost didn't feel their connection. It felt almost forced yet you could tell he did love her. But he tried to treat her like a child that needed protection. I wouldn't condone him giving up his dreams for anything however in this case I honestly thought that they would have been better if he'd taken a break and got them to a good place before forcing her into a lifestyle she wasn't confident enough for yet.
Tucker has issues though, I'm still not 100% sure we ever got to the bottom of any of them? I questioned at times why he was so overprotective of Cass... But then he brought in the manager that wanted nothing more then to rid Cass from his life. After reading it I honestly think that a dual POV giving us Tucker's voice in this book would have really helped... I felt like I was constantly second guessing his decisions and maybe hearing in his voice why he made some of the choices that he did would have lent a different feel to the book and his feeling for Cass.
Overall I think that the plot was good, but underdeveloped in certain areas. I hated where the book ended... I know your going to say how could I hate that ending and I think the reason was because I expected so much more... I can't give away what happens but honestly I wasn't in a place of pure happiness at the end of this book like I expected. I wanted Cass to have her Cinderella moment with the white horse and prince charming and honestly I didn't find Tucker nearly as charming in this installment as I did in the first... Something truly felt missing.
However I still love Teresa's writing style and I will be reading the next book in the series because honestly I felt more heartwarming feelings toward Eric then I did Tucker... I can't wait to see what's in store for Eric. He's so misunderstood and broken I felt my heart break for him when he revealed his story in this book. I'm excited to see if he finds love because out of everyone I feel he deserves true happiness the most...
White Trash Damaged is the sequel to Cass and Tucker’s story, White Trash Beautiful. I loved it even more than the first novel that I just posted a review for this morning. My favorite part of the book is the song lyrics. One day Cass is sitting on the tour bus waiting for Tucker when she decides to start writing poems in a notebook. She wanted to go on tour with Tucker, but she had no idea what that life was like until she became part of the band, despite the protests from his bandmates.
For me, music is one of those cure-all things that makes me feel better. There’s always a song that means something to me that I can play, no matter my mood. I listen to music about 80% of my day. I even listen to it while I’m in the shower and before I fall asleep every night. That’s why I found this series so relatable. Cass feels the same way about it, as does Tucker and his band.
I really liked the rapport between Cass and the band by the end of the book. There’s a fair amount of drama throughout that keeps things interesting. Cass is also dealing with some issues from the end of the first novel, so you’re still feeling some of the effects in this book. The ending is wrapped up perfectly with a real Cinderella story ending that I absolutely loved. The entire time I was reading the first book I kept hoping Cass would make it out of the trailer park. You will root for her like I did. I have no doubt about it. The third book in this series is basically a standalone that helps if you’ve read the first two books, but it’s not the continuation of Cass and Tucker’s story.
Of all the romance series, I’ve ever read this is my number one recommendation.
This book picks right up where the first one left off with teaser memories to what happened in the past to remind you of where the other book ended. Cass and her man are back together and are getting ready to travel with the band. Happy together, it seems that Cass is accepting of her choices and is looking forward to her future.
I like that the author chose to write Cass in a positive uplifting manner where so much can be negative in her life. It is refreshing to not be overcome with the negative aspects in her life. The storyline is written in a way that lets you know that she is hurting – she has little self esteem – but she revels and grows in her love for Tucker.
Not all is perfect as there are always issues when people travel and live together in close quarters and traveling with the band takes patience, understanding and most of all trust. Cass and Tucker both have to learn these values if they were going to move forward.
The author did a fine job of telling a beautiful story that was interesting and full of drama. There is some room for character development but overall, this was a great follow up to the first book. Sometimes I worry when an author has to follow up with a second series book and then a third. But this one was inline with the first book and could easily stand alone as a novel. I personally like to read books in a series in order, but if someone purchased this alone, you could follow along the storyline well.
If you loved the Beautiful book then you have to grab this one! It is a wonderful story that reads quickly and once again you find yourself rooting for Cass as she learns to find herself and be happy.
Thank the F GOD this got a new cover. I LOVE IT! I am also happy this is releasing this year verse next. I can't wait!

After white trash beautiful it was safe to say I was really looking forward to White Trash damaged – I patiently pre ordered it as soon as I was able and waited on tenterhooks until I Received it and I really, really hate to say it but I was disappointed.
I love Teresa Mummert as an author she has an amount of talent for writing that most people could only dream of but I just don’t feel like this was her best work! This isn’t me being picky or over expectant it is just the simple fact that the sequel wasn’t as good as the original which happens a lot of the time when the first is so popular.
It lacked emotion for me, maybe I’m just a true romantic at heart but although there was a lot more action in the first book it was also full of this epic love story, whereas the second book had less action and even less heart wrenching drama filled romance.
I’m not going to let one book taint my opinion of Teresa’s writing and I hope in the future I will start to love her books again!
White Trash Damaged is the 2nd book in the White Trash series. (White Trash Beautiful is # 1) Continuing the story from White Trash Beautiful this book is about the struggle of love and relationships. Being in a relationship with a singer of an up and coming band while living on a tour bus with all the band members is a hard thing to do when the other band members think you are another groupie. Cass is determined to make it work with Tucker but not if it will cause the band to have issues. She eventually wins over the band members and they soon are defending her to others that don't believe she is what the band needs hanging around. After growing up in a trailer park with a drug addict for a mother she has finally found a family who loves and accepts her and wants her around.
This series is so well written. Ms. Mummert is a great writer and understands the ins and outs of a relationship and what it means to be judged because of the life you were born into. Can't wait for book 3!!!!
during this whole book all I wanted was for Cass to grow a pair of balls and to get the "thats what she said" joke right. By the end of the book, I guess she grew a pair in her on way (jury is out about the joke). i felt during the whole book she was still stuck as her old self, doubting and questioning everything. There were moments when it got to be TOO much. Like seriously hunny, your here with him. He's willing to give everything up for you, everybody can see he's madly in love.FOR THE LOVE OF HUMANITY STOP WHINING!!!!! Thank goodness for E and Sarah or Cass wouldve spent the entire book torturing herself. But at last she grew up, and recieved her HEA. Lets just hope in book 3 Donna magically dissapears so it will stay that way.
I thought this book would blow my mind to pieces but it didn't unfortunately. The first book was about 10 times better than this one and I think it was mainly because there was spontaneous scenes and different settings. This book was the same drama over and over again with the same scenes over and over again. I liked the concept but the information wasn't good enough. The book was able to keep me entertained and I will get the next book to know how Cass and Tuckers story ends but this feels like a filler book not an actual story. Now I just found out that the next book is on Eric um yeah no I am just ganna go and probably throw something because we arnt even finished with this story are you kidding me! Great now this is just freaking great!!!!!
