Okay, since this is the final book for Jarik and Mercy, my rating will be more on the overall trilogy. As mentioned in my reviews for the previous books, I liked the writing style, which flowed smoothly and made for an easy read. The smut was on top, spicy, a little bit filthy but it was not PWP territory thankfully. Nor very OTT, even considering it was monster smut. And yes, there was a plot beside the smut that I quite enjoyed, esp. as it was fast-moving in all these novella sized books. In this third book however, the plot lost a bit of its edge, what with the weaker story lines about how Jarik failed to get enough security around him and Mercy given the known and imminent danger, or the way the evil Marcus's reign ended too easily and quickly. I guess I should not be so nitpicky because the books were too short for further plot development, and though it was not a PWP, it remains essentially monster smut 😅😁!! And with regards to that, the author acquitted herself quite well 🥵😌
I am interested to see more of this universe. Though I am a bit disappointed that the next connected book/s is not about Luka (). Oh well, I will just have to wait 🙂

A fabulous conclusion to this debut. I love this new supernatural world Poppy has created. I can not wait for Jacobs story. Fingers crossed these three books are put together in a paperback.

This is part 3 in a 3 part short story series about the 'Monster Gentleman's Club'. We continue to follow Mercy and Jarik's story and this one starts immediately where the last part left off.
I can't say too much about the plot as it will spoil the other parts, but rest assured it's another fun, fast-paced and delicious read.
I continue to be amazed at how much character and heart Poppy has managed to pack into so few pages. Not only do we get Mercy and Jarik's love story, but we also get introduced to a wonderful cast of characters which I'm hoping means more short stories are on their way!
Would highly recommend this book, this series and this author.

Phenomenal
Everything I wanted for the end of Jarrik and Mercy's story. I can't wait to read Jacob's next. Loved getting peaks at some of the other minds of monsters we may see

Mercy is taken from Jarik. But this lady is not a damsel in distress who’d wait for the knight in shining armor to save her! I loved how much courage, resilience, fierceness and resourcefulness she showed in this story. She might’ve been taken but she didn’t let desperation and misery bring her down. And she didn’t hesitate to face any danger thrown her way. Mercy was absolutely incredible!
And Jarik is coming for her! This huge, fearsome werewolf will stop at nothing to get his mate back. And he will destroy anyone who stands in his path. I loved his determination and his devotion. And his possessiveness, dominance and filthy mouth are always quite the bonus, too. And with each new story, I couldn’t help but fall more and more in love with this spectacular male!
And the spice… Ohh… where do I start?! Once Jarik and Mercy were finally reunited, the passionate moments they shared were scorching hot! I just loved how ravenous and insatiable those two were for each other. And, after everything they went through, they more than deserved to find happiness together.
In addition, the storyline was incredible and everything happening kept me glued to the pages till the very end. Marcus is just so slimy and scheming and it’s high time he be dealt with for good. The time has come for a new Alpha of Alphas. Even more, I loved that we got to meet new characters, too. And I became quite fond of Jacob and cannot wait for his story.
Overall, Destined is another spectacular addition to the series and a perfect finale of Mercy and Jarik’s story! It’s filled with non-stop action, danger, suspense, twists, violence, scorching hot passion and amazing characters.
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every single page of it!

This story didn't need to be written - just read the first story "Defiled" and I swear you won't miss anything vital or interesting.
Too much "story" and worldbuilding and not enough spice, which is basically what the whole series is about anyway. The only good writing is with the spicy scenes because the worldbuilding is told, never shown. So much exposition is from people talking about it in dialogue without the reader being exposed to it themselves - we are just going off the word of the MMC, who of COURSE is overpowered and a natural leader, even though he describes himself as someone who "keeps his head down." What started off as a sexy monster auction concept turned into fated mates and fighting for power and introducing new shifters just to kill them off. And FMC is now reduced to a damsel in distress without having her own agency or voice.
OH! And nothing screams "RED FLAG" than a guy who is constantly dropping brands like an overcompensating flex. We get it! You are rich!! But now you are sounding like Patrick Bateman from "American Psycho" and now I am thinking that the FMC is better off just running far far away in general...
Also, so many plot holes...like where is the missing money? WHY is the bar called "The Library"? Why keep Marcus alive for so long to just kill him off so quickly? And Mercy only has a personality when she asks "did he suffer? oh too bad".
I have never been so bored reading smut.

In Love!
I was freaking out the whole time and loved how strong Sara/Mercy was…. It made me excited that she finally got to get back at Isabelle for her nastiness.
Karol is the perfect beast man… possessive, protective, loving and huge! I was like take me with you mr. Beast, I want to be taken care of lavishly 😂😂
I loved the whole series and think it’s that perfect short but exciting read.

I absolutely loved this series and this conclusion was perfect. This plot moves fast and the spice is top-tier! Mercy and Jarik were made for each other. The story was highly engaging, dark, and oh so sexy. Totally recommend diving into this series for a fast-paced, scorching-hot read.
Can’t wait for the next series in this world.

Whew!! This was an exciting end to Sara and Jariks' story!
Marcus TOOK. HIS. MATE - that was never gonna end well for him (and boy, did he get an amusing send-off)!!! It's fast-paced, spicy, and has a sweet HEA - I really enjoyed it.
While this was the final book in Sara and Jariks' story, there are more in the series featuring other characters, and I will definitely be reading them!

If your just getting into tge monster or dark romances this trilogy is perfect for you! Its also great for the season monster reader and the less intense dark romance readers or for a palette cleanser for the darker readers. I loved the story and the spice was excellent! I hope t9 read more and hear more about what happened to Isabelle.

The ending made everything Mercy and Jarik went through worth it all. There's lots of action and steamy romance with Jarik realizing Mercy is his mate and Mercy realizing Jarik is hers forever. They find their happily ever after together.

I really enjoyed Jarik and Mercy’s story! It was a quickie read, but I enjoyed every moment of it. These two were made for each other, there’s no denying that. This was a great conclusion to their story arc.
