(S1) This one starts strong mostly because of the characters. They have vibrant personalities and are forced to change their normal habits around one strange girl. Meanwhile our protagonist is struggling with the ramifications of living in the world she had a hand in making. It seems to stick close to the source material and dangles a lot of interesting ideas for the future. The pacing seems okay. They don't keep the main characters children forever and fast forward to the events of the novel. The artwork places an emphasis on pretty. Pretty background, pretty characters, pretty clothes. This can feel a bit repetitive at times, undercuts some of the facial expressions, and requires a few simplified panel inserts to keep up with production timelines which takes some getting used to. However, there is still a lot of detail to be admired.
(S2) This arc struggles a little more. To keep the pacing quick we don't tend to get many new details about Fiona's childhood, the Saintess, imperial factions, or the darkness. It hints at things and assumes the audience is familiar enough with the tropes to fill in the rest. Meanwhile the will they, won't they romance is a bit thin and relies on her complete lack of self-awareness and observation skills which is at odds with her pragmatic approach to life. I wish they had been fighting her rationalization and fears rather than just having her act oblivious to things. Still the character personalities are fun and it is nice to see what approach they will take to give a spin to expected events like the underground beast fights.

read until: chapter 123 (season 4)
not too sure which chapters volume 2 encompassed so i'll be updating till the most recent chapter that i've read.

i love fiona and siegren. they are a beautiful couple and i loved that they finally confirmed their feelings to each other and are getting married!!! eeeppppp! since it's already season 4, things are moving with the plot of fiona being here as the author of the book. the villain in this series is frequently showing themselves. i feel somewhat sad for the villain because of the past that they have experienced, but they also did some heinous things. we shall see how things progress.

I love how badass Fiona and Eunice’s powers were in this and how their abilities don’t get overshadowed by the men. The only thing I didn’t like this season was how Fiona treated Siegren. The miscommunications were killing me. Her behavior was so messed up and wishy washy. I’m so glad Siegren realized his worth and gave her an ultimatum because she was pissing me off! LOL. Siegren was perfect per usual and his love for Fiona kept the romance strong for me. The art is still so mf stunning, gosh. I’m excited to see how everything will come together and end.

c'est vraiment toujours aussi plat, mal écrit
je continuerai ma lecture juste pour voir qu'est-ce qui va advenir du perso principal pcq j'ai plusieurs théories dessus mais c'est vraiment la seule raison qui me donne envie de continuer à lire, en tout cas si vous êtes en recherche d'un bon webtoon avec un univers riche et des personnages développés passez votre tour jpp ou alors lisez-le en médiathèque pcq vous pouvez trouver mieux pour 15 balles !!

I give up. Oh god the first one was so good but this one ughh it feels like the translator is change between the story. From episode 50 the translation and dialogue doesn't make any sense.
I really thought it had some potential seeing the first volume but this disappointed so badly that I'm dnfing it.

De principio a fin, uno de mis webtoons favoritos. No solo el dibujo es espectacular, la trama está muy bien desarrollada y resuelta, los personajes carismáticos y bien definidos...
El final me ha parecido muy bonito y además está a la altura del resto de la historia. Echaré de menos a Fiona, Siegren y Abel.

j’ai trop kiffé, on est sur la même lancée que le tome 1 mais en mieux car moins introductif !

Les planches sont toujours aussi belles et les personnages très intéressants. L’histoire m’intrigue beaucoup et la protagoniste principale est de plus en plus badass malgré ses airs d’ange.

J’espère ne pas me faire faux espoirs sur la relation qui se dessine 🤧

J'ai autant aimé ce tome que le précédent !

Ce qui m'a marquée, c'est le rythme. J'ai l'impression que les manhwas ont parfois tendance à s'attarder quand les personnages sont enfants, or ici on hésite pas à sauter de quelques années pour faire avancer l'histoire. J'aime ça.

En plus de ça, de nouveaux personnages apparaissent et surtout, SURTOUT, la vengeance de la protagoniste avance petit à petit et c'est tellement satisfaisant !

Hâte d'acheter la suite à sa sortie !
