“Did it hurt when you fell from Heaven?” the angel deadpanned back at me.
I jolted back as if struck.
Yes, it fucking did! That was a very mean question!

ARC Review~

This is a fun, quick read featuring an angel Dom and a demon switch/sub. It’s told only from the demon’s perspective. I enjoyed Hellion’s sub-awakening and how well Zachariel took care of him. The plot portion was pretty unique and I definitely didn’t see the twist coming! There’s a happy ending for the couple but it does end on a cliffhanger - the next book continues with a new couple.

5 "Surprised me in the best way" stars ⭐
A quick fun read, MM paranormal bdsm romance b/w a Demon & an Angel, with HOT sexual exploration, sweet relationship, dream mystery, & great world building! Loved Hellion & Zachariel, Devoured this in 3hrs! So happy that the cover drew me in to this #ARC, totally worth my time.

So reading the blurb, I thought it'll be mostly smut with little plot, but boy was I wrong! While it definitely is hot as it's BDSM with dom angel / sub demon, blindfold, edging, praise etc, love me a vers couple. It also has a pretty cute emotional development for Hellion & Zach. Then there's the dream mystery & a fast but satisfying justice! The world build is amazing, the plot arc & writing style is fast-paced but it works well for a novella. So recommend it!

Hellion is a fallen angel/demon, Zachariel is a newly ascended angel. When they meet in a club, Hellion realises it's pretty enjoyable to let Zach dominate him. From a One-Night-Stand to more. The story is only from H's pov. I REALLY wanted Z's pov - but it didn't take away from the story much.

This was my 1st story by Natalie, I'm looking forward to more... especially this series! We left our couple happy, but there's a series cliffhanger. RTC.

As a teaser this worked really well. The majority of this short is Hellion and Zachariah having sex (which is hot!). However, there was a great deal of subtext going on that gave a hint towards what a book focussing on these two actually developing a relationship would look like. Hellion in particular seems like someone who needs to be shown unconditional love and that he is worthy, fallen or not. Expanded into a full novella or book I think there could be some really interesting world building and fantastic hurt/comfort. I’m definitely interested to see where this goes! Well worth a read as a steamy little short that gets you hooked for more.

Porn without plot. This feels like a Crowley and Aziraphale fanfic, but they just bang each other. And I get it, it's hot, but idk man, I need to feel something for the characters at least.

I liked this book way more than I thought I would.
I loved their whole dynamic and how the demon was the sub. Zach was the angel but the way he acted in some ways didn't seem like it. And Helion was protective of his angel, it was so sweet. The revelation at the end with Zach and him ending up with one wing black and the other white was marvellous, loved it.
Loved the scenarios and the characters. In my opinion, the book was too short

So, I kind of teetered back and forth on this one’s rating between a 3 and 4. So I’ll go with 3.5 (and round up for the stats). There was a lot I really liked about this book and a idea things that didn’t hit with me. First, we have Hellion, our little subby demon twink. He is funny, cute and sassy. He is also stubborn and curious. Then we have Zach, he is a dominant Angel. Even when Hellion tries to take control, Zach is good at taking the lead flawlessly. He is strong, dominant and sweet. These two together are cute. This book made me laugh from the get go. Had some decent spicy scenes, though since it had D/s themes, I expected more. For me, this was very light and I would put it on a lower spice level because the kink level was low. So, that was a bit of a disappointment tbh. They are not strict top/bottom for those who are wondering. The book was definitely entertaining and the world the author is creating is great but I felt like it lacked details for me. I was a little lost at times, not understanding what Hellion was talking about…some of it cleared up later but not everything. I think with more details, more world building and pushing those boundaries this story could be a 5 star. It felt like at times it skipped over parts of the story and lest me with questions, like about Hellion falling…we never get the full story and that is probably the biggest reason I wanted to give it a 3 star. Even if he didn’t want to talk about it with Zach, it could have been told to us readers or something. The premise and plot has great potential, just a few items that in my opinion took away from it. The entire story is told in Hellion’s first person POV, which helps keep some mysteries going longer. In the end, it was an enjoyable, easy read.

DNF really fucking early on.

Can't stand the "funny" banter nor the way these two talk. Childish. Children trying to be badasses and adults.

This book...THIS BOOK! ✅️✅️✅️
I didn't know what to expect when I started my reading and the only this I can say now is that this book hold me in a thing hold. Litteraly.

At the beginning, Hellion act like the little brat that he is, wanting to have control over everything, including his personal life. Which means that he doesn't accept anyone rpentrsting him and that's fine, because the first time Hellion and Zach will have sex, Zachariel will be the one taking him in. But will Helliok be the dominant one...nop. And it was simply perfect. Like really.

Then, the relationship between thoses two will evolve : slowly, feelings will bloom, they will regularly have their meetings and naturally, they will act as dom and sub, the angel being the first one and the demon will be the second one. BUT.

THERE'S A HUGE PLOT. Hellion will do everything that he can to help Zach and to get a crucial information, Hellion will have to sell himself. But not before asking Zachariel to claim him with a magic brand. I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS CLAIM.

And then, huge spoiler alert, Hellion will go to a BDSM club open for angels and demons and the bad guy will pit his own collar on his neck and that's a no no because...Zach will burst into the club and save Hellion by showing to everyone around that this demon is HIS! HIS! His "grace" will flow into Hellion and make his claime shine on his skin in front of everyone and Hellion will freely give himself by screaming that he's his. I WAS SCREAMING BY THIS PART. OMG MY HEART. 💜

So, overall (done with the spoilers, because yea not gonna reveal everything) this book was worth it. Really. I just had some difficulty with the cover and I almost didn't by it because of oit, but the subject of angels and demons really passionate me so I have it a try and NO REGRETS. And the ending was perfect. 👀🥰

Can't wait to read the second one!!!!

Really enjoyed the connection between angel and demon

Hellion met Zach meet and was immediately fascinated. At first, their dynamic seemed a little imbalanced but as the story progressed, I realised that each was as involved and attached as the other. They went in hot but became more to each other than just bed-mates. Hellion's deeper desires, that he appeared to have kept well-hidden, were brought out by Zach, who knew just what he needed. In turn, Hellion also managed to take care of Zach when the angel was struggling. I loved how far Hellion was prepared to go to help his angel, and how devoted they were by the end of the book.
This was written from the demon's point of view and Hellion was the one who learned about himself when faced with the dominant angel, and also played the part of detective to help Zach, so it was more important to hear from him. I would have liked to hear from the angel, even just a chapter or two, but the story worked well anyway.
I'm hoping that we see more of these two in the next book, and I can't wait to read Lucifer and Michael's story.

Zachariel, an angel, and Hellion, a demon, story is presented from Hellion perspective and it was entertaining, dangerous, sweet, and with a couple of unexpected revelations that will blow your mind.
I liked their courtship and connection, how they learn to acknowledge their feelings, the care they show for each other, and the determination of Hellion to find the truth about Zachariel and to help him find peace.
It was interesting to see a collaboration between both sides, the way the truth come to light and the punishment of the ones involved.
I liked the new opportunities this situation created, the new look of Zachariel, and the new mission they have.
I really liked the story and I would have liked to see Zachariel perspective, especially in the key moments.
I really am looking forward to see what happens next.

The pacing and characterization in this book is a little off. It starts off as kind of a PWP angel/demon D/s thing where the demon is kind of a brat and doesn’t really want to sub, but by their 2nd encounter he is full-on like “idk what to do now, I forgot how to top, halp”, which was weird. Idk why it bothered me so much except it felt like a tease! I like it when characters in same sex romance can switch!

As for the pacing, for the first 75% of the book it’s like 90% sex scenes and 10% the POV character investigating his lover’s weird condition, without ever actually asking him if he wanted him to do that… >.> and then the fourth act kinda hits you with angel/demon political stuff and the narrator’s lover becoming like, an angel/demon ambassador cause he’s so special. Do we get to see any of this stuff? Nope! To be continued. Okay then…

Hellion meets Zachariel in bar while dancing. He finds himself wanting more from Zachariel, an angel, than he should as a demon. Demons do not submit to angels or do they?

Under His Wings started out hot and pretty much stayed that way. The thought occurred that maybe that was all there was to this story but that thought was definitely wrong. While the heat was appreciated, the story itself was intriguing and had more than a few surprises. No way should a spoiler be included here. You will need to read this to find those surprises. The end leaves us with a taste for more and the fact that nothing is as it seems. I know I want to read more set in this world.

I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it to my pleasure. The opinions are my own.

A very quick read of an angel and demon getting together. Hellion meets Zack at a club and hooks up with him. In between the romance/sex Hellion realizes that Zack is a Ascended angel with no memory of his former human life. He's determined to help Zack find out about his life and the mystery of his past.

It's a interesting read and I liked the world building of Ascended Angels and demons. That's something that's not really brought up in many books like these. And I was really happy that Zack and Hellion are fleshed out considering how short the book is.

There was a cliffhanger at the end of the book, however its mainly to continue the story of more then the couple.

This is a love story about an Angel, Zachariel and a Demon, Hellion. They meet , share passion and Domination/Submission, and try to figure out why Zach doesn't remember becoming an angel. It's a perfect take on the power exchange between Heaven and Hell, the Demons aren't all bad and Angels aren't all good and angels are falling all over the place! Zach and Hellion burn up the pages with their hot times and this was the first book in the series with an archangel and a really big, bad demon next. Natalie got me hooked with this first taste of sin. I received a copy of this book through Gay Romance Reviews and this is my voluntary opinion.

Hellion is a fallen angel, and when he sees gorgeous Zachariel across the bar he knows he needs him. But it turns out Zach needed Hellion to be his more. The demon is intrigued by Zach and his backstory. Together they discover new aspects of themselves and what it means to be in an angel/demon relationship.

I loved the MM relationship and exploring dom/sub and switching, but the level of spice to story was off for me. It seemed like it wanted to be all smut then would refer back to the storyline and the mission the main character was on. I was never fully immersed in the book and didn’t feel connected to the tasks at hand. A relatively fun/easy read.

This is a quick, engaging read with an interesting premise (an angel and a demon…and all that that means) and a nice balance of steam and feelings. You get a sense of not just how well Zachariel and Hellion fit together physically (the focus, a lot of the time) but also of the deepening emotional connection, and while some places the story goes are easy to see coming, others are surprising, in all the best ways. I liked the characters, the world building, and the story overall, and would love to see more from this world.

I really like how Natalie was able to show us the connection between a demon and an angel and how well they are able to work together. Hellion and Zachariel seemed to be pulled together from their first meeting, at a kink club. Hellion was able to let down his walls and let Zachariel take care of him. They were able to figure out what was done to Zachariel, how and why. And together they found out how to fix it and did. Lastly I can’t wait to see how the meeting between Michael and Lucy goes.

Under His Wings is the first book in the Hell of a Heaven series by Natalie Wish. It is the story of Zachariel an angel and Hellion a demon. This is a fun short read told from Hellion's perspective. It has low angst but enough heat to be enjoyable. I enjoyed the plot and all the twists and turns in it. I also enjoyed the BDSM aspects in the story. I love that there is more coming in this series and I am really looking forward to the next book. I would definitely recommend this book.

Demon and Angel in a very different relationship

WOW. This book was way better than I imagined it would be. That sounds like a put down but it’s not, it’s just the way it made me feel. It starts slow but then by the end it gets political between heaven and hell. Again this might sound weird but in the writing hands of Natalie Wish it’s interesting and I can’t wait to find out where she takes this tale next.

Under His Wings by Natalie Wish had the foundation for a great story, but it fell short in execution. The plot had potential with its intriguing premise, but it felt like it was moving too fast, leaving little room for character depth or natural development. The pacing made everything feel rushed, and as a result, the emotional impact just wasn’t there. It’s a bit disappointing because with more careful crafting, it could have been a memorable read.

This is a steamy Angel and Demon pairing by an author that is new to me, I will read more by them. This is a book that is fast paced from the beginning. I enjoyed this immensely from Zach and Hellion’s first meeting when thing don’t quite go to Hellion’s expectation. I can’t wait to read more of this series.

Definitely one that fans of Good Omens will enjoy. It was a delight to see Zachariel, the angel taking charge of Hellion, a demon with a personality you totally don't expect. Hellion's openness and curiosity pay real dividends for him in this story. I enjoyed the world building and look forward to seeing more of this world in the second book in the series.

He is a demon who may just bow down to an angel but he is not sure if he should do so. He is not used to having nice things but he is about to learn good things can come to him if he bows down. How will he get on? Will he learn how much fun it could be? See just how it will all go

I loved the themes in this book and thought it was an amazing read. I especially loved how fast they fell for each other. I also loved that the demon who wanted to be the top ends up being the bottom to the angel. I also love how possessive they are for each other.

Pure guilty pleasure reading and a good little snack in between heavier or longer reads. The characters were fun and the plot was interesting. It's got a lot of cheesy moments in it but overall I enjoyed it for what it was and I am interested in reading the second one!

Queer PNR. First in series with abrupt transition at the end to set up the next book. Writing is stilted with multiple typos. The relationship with Hellion and Zach is sweet and develops at a good pace. The world building is interesting though not novel.
