George Pérez (June 9, 1954 – May 6, 2022) was an American comic books artist and writer, known for his work on various titles, including Avengers, Teen Titans and Wonder Woman.
Man i am freaking out right now When did superman comic become so good? i loved both issues 1 and 2, will we continue at this pace?!!! that would be amazing. From reading action comics i didn't expect much from this but so far this is so good.
This issue digs deeper into the fallout of the mysterious alien attack. Superman struggles to understand the being’s energy — and its strange connection to Krypton. Pérez attempts to show Clark’s isolation, both as a hero and as a man watching his old world fade into memory.
The newsroom scenes feel grounded, even nostalgic — Lois and Perry are in fine form — but the dialogue is overly dense. There’s heart here, though; you can sense Pérez’s respect for Superman’s legacy, even if it sometimes gets buried under word-heavy panels.
Verdict: Stronger thematically, but weighed down by its own narration.
Man I am loving this. Honestly I don't know if I'm going to have a super wordy review for all these but atm it's the first time in awhile I've actually not been annoyed with the S man.... and for anyone that knows me that's a big deal.
