The excitement continues in the next instalment of the Order of the Dragon, the Urban Fantasy series set in Brisbane, Australia. What do you do when the people you thought you could trust aren't as honest as you thought they were? Isolde has awoken to a completely different world. She is forced to make some tough decisions as she is exposed to the blood memories of those she thought she knew everything about.
As she meets people from her lover's past and learns more about his twin brother, who he has been at war with for centuries, she begins to question everything and is slowly learning that the world of good and evil isn't quite as black and white as she'd once believed.

Allison did it again, writing another amazing book with the sequel in the order of the dragon series. Her world building continues throughout this book and we get to meet some new intriguing characters. We really learn about the history and creation of The Order of the Dragon. I was again pulled into this story, really being inside the head of the FMC while also getting insight into other characters.

I feel like so many of the questions i had in book 1 were answered, but now I’m left with so many more questions that i likely wont have the answers to until book 3. I loved that this book explored more of Brisbane, that book 1 didn’t get to cover. Reading books and being like i know that place, really helps me connect and imagine how things in that scene look visually.

Allison was lovely enough to allow me to be a ARC reader, and i am so incredibly thankful. I am on this journey with the characters and wont jump off the bandwagon until Allison is done writing their story. I actually messaged Allison months ago begging for her to open the pre orders for book 2, since book 1 captured my attention and love. I was not let down at all reading this:

This series is one of those that i will recommend to people with my dying breath. Is that dramatic? Yes. But this book, the story; the characters and the way it makes me feel is worthy my adoration

I was very glad to get the chance to be an Arc Reader for Allison on Blood Memories and this is my honest review.

After reading the first book in the series, Illusions, I has hooked and was super excited about book 2 and hoped it would be as good. It was so much better! This is an amazing sequel and without too many spoilers, things get even more hectic for Isolde as she learns about the secrets the people she thought she could trust are keeping from her and grows into her powers.

Her OMG to die for Main Male Character and others (Oh dear sweet lord Connor- Take me now) get their stories told in a very clever way by the Author by way of some visions and flashbacks and I found this gave book 2 an extra depth and richness to her story telling and world building.

The story flows really smoothly with plenty of action and well balanced top level spice but also some great character building that really made me feel connected to the characters as their story progressed and I was up well past midnight devouring this one.

If your into Vampires, Fantasy and Magic and loved series like Vampire Academy, Vampire Diaries etc and want a fresh new take with an absolutely kick ass FMC this series is a definite must read. Im dying for book 3!

1Massive thanks to @allisonaandrews for the ARC of Book 2 of Order of the Dragon!
This is my honest review

I was a bit nervous of starting this book as I loved Book 1 so much...glad to say book 2 did not disappoint!

Finding it hard to write a review because I don't want to give anything away...
Starting from where book 1 left off, Isolde has to learn to deal with her new reality. While the world is falling apart and she really doesn't know who she can trust anymore.

I loved seeing all the different memories. I liked how realistic the relationship issues of Liam and Isolde were and how Isolde in general is just a badass. I kind of want to be her 😅

My favourite things -
(I can't go into too much unless you've read it *feel free to DM if you ever do want to discuss!*)
🦇 pretty much everything Connor related. Can't wait to get the rest of this storyline
🦇 I adore the Aoibh and Adhamh reveals!

Since I've even unable to give an in-depth review without spoilers all you need to actually know is:
If you like fantasy, vampires, Buffy, kick ass heroines, magic or amazing books... just go read this! When it's out in November

Secrets
Isolde has awoken a power that Liam can help guide. Their unbreakable bond is causing concern with the Order. And when Liam learns about the secrets they have been keeping he feels as though his whole life (the living dead bit 🧛‍♀️) has been a lie.

Isolde is furious that the order has failed to protect her twin and her and Liam are persuaded to return to Eve’s side.

There is chemistry simmering between Isolde and Connor that threatens to ruin her relationship with Liam.

Everyone is keeping secrets.

Book 2 picks up the pace, but also gives us lots of”history” through the blood memories.

Unsure where are characters are heading next!

Thank you to Allison A. Andrews for allowing me the privilege of reading the eARC.

I devoured book 1 “Illusions” in one sitting and immediately wanted more. Lucky I didn’t have to wait long to continue the series.

Firstly I thought the flow of the story was wonderful. There were a lot of flashbacks which didn’t feel disjointed and it was quite clever to have them in dreams, memories and when Isolde would touch objects.

Nothing is what it seems and there are so many twist and turns.

I can’t wait for the next one.

I haven’t read book one before jumping into this book. While the story would have been a richer experience for me, I was still able to pick up and follow the characters journey.
The world building is solid, love that it’s aussie based! The lore is well thought out and interesting.
Cannot wait to read book three!

I am loving this series. An urban fantasy set in Brisbane with centuries old vampires, magic and prophercies involving twins and daughters of the seventh daughtet and sons of the seventh son. I am enjoying the relationship developing between Liam and Isolde and curious to see where the connection with Conner and how it will all be resolved in book 3
