Erin Langley didn't expect to find an ally in Hazel Grimes, but as it turns out, Erin isn't the only one who can see that more than one person could have an agenda.

Really enjoyed this book the 3rd in the Scarred Series. Zane and Erin are happy together but Skye Wilson turns up and is Zane's daughter. A girl he knows nothing about, he was in love with her mother when he was 19 but she disappeared. Erin is suspicious of Skye as she often contradicts herself and often gives Erin sneaky looks when no one else is about. Zane's brother Marco is in prison so all should be well however things start to happen that are inexplainable, Erin suggests to Zane that things have happened since Skye came on the scene but Zane is smitten with being a father and won't hear a word against his daughter who Erin thinks is a schemer. Only time will tell.
I enjoyed the way the daughter caused bother without being found out she was very clever. I think Edie Baylis has a very complex mind and hope she never gets embroiled in anything like the crimes and gangs she so masterfully writes about she would be one scary woman. The book has left me waiting impatiently for the next installment. I think this series would make a great tv series.

The Morellis are back.........
This is the third book in the series. As usual, it's brilliant. When a young woman turns up looking for Zane, claiming she is his daughter, all their lives are turned upside down.
Martin, who is Skyes boyfriend, has just gotten back from a family holiday and is told she has just disappeared........
When Skye meets Zane, she starts telling him how her life with her mom has been growing up, that she was bullied at school, never had a phone, and her mom never looked after her. Is this the truth or something skye has concocted ? Does skye have an agenda?????
I also DIDNT SEE THAT END COMING
Great read. I highly recommend

I loved the second book in the Scarred series and this one was even better. I just couldn’t put it down. I’m now desperate to read the 4th one but it’s not out for months yet!

Zane and Erin are happy and secure in their relationship and have plans to get married. Zane’s daughter has turned up and things totally change. Zane didn’t know she existed and can’t understand why her mother Shirley never told him she was pregnant. The arrival of Skye is a shock to both Zane and Erin and as time passes she starts to show her true colours.

Mario ( Zane’s brother) is still in jail and doing everything he can via his solicitor and his sidekick Damon to try and get the charges dropped. He needs to find his wife Hazel and get her to write a statement. Hazel is with Zane and Erin and they are doing all they can to protect her.

This book is fast paced and full of action.

I really loved this book and can’t wait to read the next one when it comes out.

Book3 in a series and it was just as amazing as the 1st two !!! The arrival of Skye presenting as Zanes daughter certainly puts the cat amongst the pigeons...She causes trouble between Zane and Erin from the start and then amongst Zanes trusted men. Hazel Marcos wife is working for Zane in a women's refuge and Erin confides in her when Skye ripples the waters....can't wait for book 4 !!!!

Trusting Blood is the third book in the series and another fabulous read from the author.
Zane and Erin are blissfully happy and hoping to take their relationship to the next level. When a young woman turns up on Zane doorstep claiming to be his daughter from a previous relationship. He wasn’t aware of her existence and wonders why her mother Shirley didn’t contact him after she disappeared. So, making up for lost time he brings her into the fold. But nothing goes smoothly and her turning up not only messes with their relationship but the running of the firm. Erin Knows Skye is not telling the truth about her upbringing. But Zane is oblivious to it and doesn’t believe her. What is she hiding about her past and why?
Martin, Skye’s boyfriend has come home from his holiday to find out that Skye has gone missing from her mother Shirley. Shirley asks Martin to go and find her. He uses his dad’s range rover to go and look for her. But things don’t go to plan.
This is the second book from the author I have read and enjoyed this unputdownable thriller. Which is fast paced and full of action and has a clever storyline. Which I didn’t see the twist coming at the end. I can’t wait for the next one. 5 stars from me.

Oof. The words gritty and gangland were invented for times like this and the latest instalment definitely does not disappoint. I slipped, worryingly easily, back into the dark criminal underbelly to walk the shadows with the dubious characters I’ve grown to both love and hate.
This latest stage of the saga has some great interest factors thrown in, such as a posh unwitting boyfriend trying to play knight in shining armour and his suitably posh and outraged parents. Brilliantly out of pace and fascinating to watch in a hilarious but cringe way. The way, newly found daughter Skye was introduced and instantly made waves was brilliant and the way her dad trod on eggshells around her princessy ways leaving others adrift was perfect.
I would say there was less steamy love action than I’m used to in these, which, although not essentially my favourite parts of previous instalments I can now see how that tends to balance the books out. That said the gore level was possibly lower too, the action was more cerebral and psychological. A great read, gathered a lovely pace towards the end and left me wanting to know what happens next. Can’t fault that.

I'm really enjoying this series. I did like Erin. Skye I wasn't sure about. I didn't like how she was with Erin. Very two faced and devious. I still don't like Marko. He is evil. I would really love to know how Edie mind works to come up with these storylines and plots. This is a series I never want to see end. I would love to see this on TV. Omg what an ending. To say I was shocked is true. I can't wait for next book. 5*.

I loved this!

Modern day gangster with old school loyalty.

I actually think this is the first book I have read, where I would prefer it if it was s film.

Really detailed complications between two brothers in the struggle to remain head of the family.

Skye appears out of a very different lifestyle, proving that blood is thicker than water in the lengths she is willing to go to for her father's affection.

Really good read, descriptive and sets the imagination going.

Violence, betrayal, families at war, gangland fighting- I read all 3 books of this series within a week!
This third book in the series was a real page turner and I became very invested in the characters. I loved the writing and drama coming from all angles meaning I couldn’t finish up at the end of any chapter!
Really looking forward to Book 4 later in the year.

Raw, brutal. In this third book in the series Zane and Erin are dealing with keeping his brother in custody whilst also dealing with an unexpected family member. Gangland rivalries, lies, betrayal, violence and backstabbing. Feisty.

I maybe was expecting a little more from this one. No matter what else happened, I just couldn't get past my dislike of Skye. I probably would have rated this 3.5, although I;m rounding it to 4. There's lots going on, and I liked other characters enough to keep me interested.

This is the third in a series, I read the first two prior to this. I love thrillers, normally psychological or detective ones, this is my first series of this kind. When I had finished them, I had been going to rate them based on how I would against my preferred type of thriller, then realised I ought to judge them based on how I felt they work for what they are.
So if I were rating as just a thriller, I'd rate them lower, just an FYI.
The series is based around two gangster brothers and their feud which led to each trying to gain control of 'The Firm'. We have a 'good' gangster vs a 'bad' gangster, if gangsters can be described as good. The books are all action packed whirlwinds and are exciting, but the twists are rather predictable, they each end with a cliffhanger which made me want to keep reading the series in spite of its flaws. I don't want to give anything away, so I'm being careful with what I say about the storylines, but I feel that taken as what they are, they are likely a good example of this genre.

Quite a few grammar errors and spelling mistakes. I wonder who proof reads the books. Good story although this time the outcome was obvious. I’ll continue to read the series though.
