Propaganda have consequences on the real fabric of the society. Although it's essentially driven by power equations but it can indeed rise to ruin lives of many. It's little disturbing to understand the psyche of such figures but it's indeed important to understand.

A very quick read but this is not necessary an advantage because a lot of important information is omitted, while some facts are oversimplified.
I'd recommend this book to someone who knows nothing at all about Goebbels

This is a book I can read in one setting and give me information on one of the true monsters of history. I am still mystified as to why this educated man could be so twisted in his views of his fellow humans so that he could justify mass slaughter of and total war innocent people.

Those who forget history are doomed to relive it.

This is the kind of topic wherein these books really shine. Clear-cut history condensed into a readable, understandable and interesting narrative. They give enough information so that if a person wants they can delve in further study but if they are satisfied they have an informed grip on the subject [or subject matter as the case may be].
Goebbels is obviously an evil cad... but his life in interesting to any true student of history.

Very quick read highlighting the dangers of propaganda

Anyone who is questioning the current state of liberal mainstream media’s use of propaganda should read this book. The current cancel culture and shaming of anyone who doesn’t fall in line with far left thought feels similar to how Goebbels leveraged propaganda.

Very concise and well-written overview of the broad stokes of the life story of the Nazi propagandist. The part where Hitler seduces Goebbels to abandon his political beliefs to follow Hitler to power illuminates current US political issues and give some big hints why people get pulled in by our contemporary authoritarians and facists

Evil in every way

This short bio of Joseph Goebbels is a portrait of evil. Now some may say why read about someone so evil. Well it is important to know albuterol men and how to recognize them so their evil can never come back. This bio just shows how power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

A Learning Experience

while I was familiar with the name, I didn't know much about Joseph Goebbels. It is good information and provides enough details to get a better understanding of the person and his actions.

great quotes

Several great quotes. Goebbels was obviously intelligent, but in my opinion was a sociopath of the worst kind. Worth the time to read

Impressive

It is amazing to think that this occurred during a time when men were supposed to be self thinkers. Tragic.

This series is brief and useful. I didn't know nearly as much about Goebbels before. It's not deep history but a good introduction.

An excellent read for those who want to know base level information, comparable to reading a less detailed Wikipedia page.

The infamous Goebbels was the chief propagandist for the Nazi party. The book is a fascinating look at his life and the events that shaped him.

Goebbels trained himself to be a persuasive orator. He also used radio and film to further his reach. The films employed the same brainwashing techniques that communist propaganda had done. He said that if you repeat a lie over and over again people will believe it. He also curtailed the journalists freedom of speech.

It was chilling to read how much influence he had in generating fear, hate and violence.
