dnf @ 60% This fucking book just got ruined for me when I was actually enjoying it. I’m so mad. Tell me why authors don’t tell you there is sharing beforehand??? Archer is all possessive and jealous af about how he wants Preston all to himself and how he would be pissed if he was sleeping with someone else, and the next thing there is a whole sharing scene with 2 other guys that were previous “hookups”. Like please, the way I would tell my partner to leave if they called up their previous sexual partners to join randomly, PLUS without even asking/talking about it beforehand RED FLAG 🚩, like fuck off 😭😭😭 MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. No thank you. I honestly would have been fine with it if I knew going in with CW/TWs and it made sense for the couple. But that scene just felt thrown in there just to be a hot smut scene. This book was all sex and lust with no substance anyway. These authors continue to disappoint me.

Rant over 😐

Buddy read with the lovely Haletostilinski 💖

Ranty and Spoilery Review ahead. Not hiding it under a tag because the authors forgot to include an important CW.

Going into Scandalous Park Avenue Prince, I hoped for a forbidden Scandalous romance between Preston and Archer. It’s girlfriend’s dad! But nope, it really wasn’t.

So I read one Ella Frank series years ago, and I have not read anything by Brooke Blaine before, but these authors are super popular and this series looked good (also the covers - they're gorgeous).

The first 50% was good, however it was really tame and healthy for a story with Scandalous as a title. While there’s chemistry and attraction between Archer and Preston, their relationship was lacking in the romance area but nothing too bad. I was enjoying seeing Preston and Archer’s relationship grow.

We learn the girlfriend isn’t really a girlfriend, Serena is Preston’s beard. They do have pressure coming from Preston’s political family to settle down and have children, but other than that they do their own things while keeping a front in the public eye. So it's not really forbidden?

It’s all too healthy and by chapter nine Serena knows that Preston and her father are together. I’m glad that a female character is not painted as a villain so I give points to that. Their friends are so understanding and not even phased that they discover Preston’s not straight and in a fake relationship.

Due to all this, it did not feel forbidden at all. Honestly, the authors could have removed the girlfriend part, and the story would have still worked. The issues will stem from how the public will view these two high-profile men and the reaction of Preston’s family.

Now, this is where the story went downhill for me; at 60%, there's a scene when Preston and Archer are getting a massage from two men (who were previous hookups), and there's a "sharing scene" with hand jobs, but still. It literally came out of nowhere and I wish I wish the authors had put a CW for it. I would have not read it.

His eyes narrowed, and I felt that bit of jealousy all the way to my cock. “How many others do I have to worry about?”

“Not many. Just a few here and there,” I said flippantly, and Archer’s hands stilled on my calf. “Which translates to how many, exactly?” “You really want to talk numbers? What about yours?”

“Tonight was different. It was with you.” I lifted a shoulder, like I wasn’t as affected as I really was. “If that’s what you want, I can give you that too. As long as it goes both ways.”

There's possessiveness and jealousy between them so it didn't make sense to me and it killed the romance for me. How can you say something like "I don't want you to be with anyone else while you're with me." after? Make it make sense! Preston's words and Archer's actions (and words) contradict everything.

Overall the first half was stronger for me and it would have been an easy 4 stars but I could not bring myself to enjoy the book after that scene. Do I recommend it? Not really because there's other books that do this forbidden trope better but I think fans of these authors will like it.

I was in love with a Carrington—just not the one I was dating.

Haha, CALLED IT!
I wasn’t sure if Preston as part of this group of friends would get his own book with him being in an assumably loving relationship with his girlfriend Serena at first but then there was this one scene in book #2 and I knew there was something really exciting coming for us with him.

And I was right. I mean, how much more scandalous than your girlfriend’s dad can it get??

“I’ve wanted to kiss you from the first moment I saw you.”

Well… still, after the initial thrill the authors sadly managed to make this boring or at least a lot less thrilling (and a helluva lot childish, and dumb!, in that last part there). —Tho I really appreciated that the daughter/girlfriend didn’t cause any drama. That she was their greatest supporter was actually quite nice.

So yeah, in the end this one too is not going to snatch a higher rating than the ones before. Still I’m surprisingly hooked on the other guys’ stories and will probably go for the next ones too, because they all sound way too delicious to make a pass. *lol

*CW: there is one scene that could be viewed as “sharing”

Scandalous Park Avenue Prince is the third entry in this highly addictive series focusing on Archer and Preston. Preston is the resident straight guy of the group so his shocking secret crush on his girlfriend's father was such a fun surprise and added a great forbidden aspect to this story.

Overall I liked the chemistry between Preston and Archer. Their relationship has its steamy moments, but having all the park princes reunited and supporting Preston with his unconventional relationship was so darn funny.

I also enjoy all the little hints throughout about the future pairings. Loving this series and look forward to the next one!!!

💖i thoroughly enjoyed BrElla's version of a mash up between MJ's P.Y.T. and Whitney's Saving All My Love!!! 🤩✨

✨Stg I'm still reeling from the surprise of how much i dug this shiny snack of a love story! My head is currently a kaleidoscope of champagne glitter, power ballads and a debonair suit with a wicked smile. Mmmhhmm yes Preston you have the right of it. Mr. Carrington is 76458726 flavours of yum😏✨

🍾anyway, for me, this whole series is very much a self-indulgent pleasure. they're mindless entertainment that i eat up because my brain is busy 24/7 and i devour their OTT glitz and glam 'cause they're hella fun! They make me feel that ludicrous spark you get from watching rich people in their naturally unnatural habitat lol! Needless to say, I ate it up!😋

🌶️🔥❤️‍🔥Scandalous was, without a doubt, my favourite of this series so far! it was sweet, veeeeery sexy and i 100% did NOT have any issues with the situation that others have had a problem with! i was more than fine with it and for me, it was hot as fk!🌶️🔥❤️‍🔥

🥃🍸and ofc the rest of the princes added that extra bit of snarky silly oomph that had me grinning the whole way through!🍾🥂

💘I LOVED PRESTON AND ARCHER! I thought their dynamic was delicious, with a healthy enough dose of the forbidden, and a super sweet romance that had a surprising amount of non-naked intimacy that i really loved seeing. The soft tender moments, touches, glances, fingertip grazes...for me, i thought the ladies really pulled this one off, because all of what they did in this landed, and i could not be happier about that!🥰

🤝🏼❤️‍🔥P.Y.T. Preston read like the multifaceted 21 yo he was. He was fully seated in his politician's son facade, was significantly less sparkly that his other princely counterparts, and his pining for Archer read like the secret longings of a boy with a crush on the most unattainable human on the planet within reach. this crushed velvet achy yearning was a kind of exquisite torture that i could totally get behind.💓🫠

💘And Archer, though it took a while for him to get around to the good stuff, when this man reached out to put his hands all over it, chile he was All Systems Go and I fkin loved it! Everything he lavished on Preston read like something out of a movie, and i loved how this installment delivered the romance i wanted to read, in spades!🥂💖

💞I really liked that the squirmy discomforting stuff was transient and didn't hover like tummy churning doom and gloom. I liked that everything was tidy and compartmentalized and the romance rolled out like the semi-dramatic soap opera it was. And believe me, after the last few reads i've had where drama came wrapped up in flames and blood (i'm looking at you rinfreya) this was a third act i could giggle about instead of asking my kindle why it hates me!💔

✨overall this was simply fun! it was a luxurious reading indulgence that hit the spot for me, and i just love how each of these installments does it differently! i just love the way these Park Avenue Princes seem to serve whatever i'm in the mood for every time!✨

🤩anyway, i'm a fan of everything this series is, so this was an easy win for me! and rn i'm straight up feral for East's book, which i hope delivers on the supreme hotness of watching this Prince humble his prideful ass FOR👏🏽 IT👏🏽! Ooooh i'm so giddy i can't wait lmfao! i love looking forward to releases like this because it's like looking forward to a mini vacation, and there's simply nothing better than that when every day is sometimes more work than play! (even though my virgo ass loves it lol😅) ...and actually in Archer and Preston's case, they were living the dream because it was both😏💓🫠 i'm not jealous🙃

3.5*

There was a lot of this book I really liked, including both the main characters. So, why not a higher rating?

The actual narrative idea itself, that Preston was gay, was just best friends with Serena (who was aware) and that he had a massive crush on her dad, I absolutely loved.

I think it was an ingenious idea to make the outwardly straight and generally steady and reliable Park Avenue Prince, the Perfect Guy be the one with the biggest secret.

I loved Preston himself, he's a sweetheart who's struggling with the expectations of his family and with his sexuality being a secret. I loved Archer, who was a devoted dad, a bit of a workaholic, and a genuinely kind man.

But, for me overall, I didn't think there was enough focus given to them as a pair learning about each other outside of the sex. With only a couple of exceptions, most of the time they were together, they were being sexually intimate in one fashion or another, or arguing about why they couldn't be together.

Yes, there's a couple of times they're not, but I wanted more conversation which would make me believe that the age gap between them wasn't going to ultimately be an issue later down the line.

More about why they were compatible - outside of the sex - especially when Preston didn't really know what he wanted to do with his life, other than he didn't want to follow his father's footsteps as a Senator.

More about how Archer built up his business, more about the fall-out once the secret came out and how it would affect his clients. I just wanted a bit more depth in this one to balance out the heat.

Because yes, this book is scorching hot. Brooke & Ella write great sex and they nailed the dynamics here beautifully, with Archer's Daddy Lite kink jiving perfectly with Preston's need to be a good boy and an element of praise kink.

There's also some dirty talk that mostly works, and a bit of voyeurism/exhibitionism that's very hot, although I'm still not sure I buy that either of them would actually be into it based on the relationship development up to that point.

I did like this one way better than book one though, the whole obscenely rich element of them being trust fund babies and Park Avenue Princes, seems to have lessened with each release, which I'm very thankful for.

Book two, with Van and Kelly, is very much my favourite so far though. But I think I've guessed who book four might be about and, if it is the pairing I hope, I think it could be an absolute cracker!

My stupid ass just realized this series is sort of a copy-pasta of Gossip Girl. It even has a side character called Serena in this installment. 😄 Well, she was already present before but I didn't really catch on.

Well, for an age gap story that's written on almost 500 damn pages, you'd expect much, much more. More passion, more of the forbidden, more of the main characters actually doing something besides fucking and how about something that resembles an ending? Because this was just cut off in the middle of everything.

🟣 Fake girlfriend's dad
🟢 Age gap 21/42
🟣 Size difference
🔵 Pining, long-term crush
🟡 No cheating, two other side characters involved as masseuses for the main characters before they're explicitly in a monogamous relationship
🌶️ Sex was descriptive, quite a lot of it; oral, penetrative; t/b

Preston you've met in other installments, he's your very well put together preppy straight boy who's the son of a senator and he's expected to get married and have a career in politics.

But Preston is, in fact, gay, deeply in the closet and pining over his fake girlfriend's dad, Archer. He has an enormous crush and wants Archer, can't seem to really imagine actually having him, but when Preston gets drunk one night, he kisses Archer and then starts pursuing him.

"Preston wrapped his hand around himself and licked his lower lip. “Promise?”
“Fucking hell.” I rubbed my palm over my erection and shook my head. “You always seemed like such a polite young man—”
He parted his legs and put his feet flat on my mattress. “Surprise.”
No shit. He was one surprise after another. Single. Not in a relationship. Gay. Not straight. Naughty as fuck. Not a good boy at all. But he was my boy for now, and there was no way he was going to come again until I did."

I don't know what I thought or expected, but I really wanted it to be more interesting. And more intense. The sex was abundant, but not written in a way to make it really forbidden of scandalous, if you will.
In fact, the "sharing" scene that a lot of reviewers had a problem with, was one of the sexiest scenes in the book.
Preston and Archer weren't together yet, they didn't talk about a serious relationship or monogamy, so I'm not really sure how that would be considered "sharing".

Archer could let Preston know beforehand that there'll be a happy ending massage happening and ask him if he'd be ok with it, true, but Preston could've walked away or stopped the whole thing if he wanted to.
To me the scene was hot. I liked it. That, and the first time they had sex. That whole night. Yeah, that was really good.

But other than that it was kind of boring and nothing else was happening, that's the thing.
Preston and Archer are outed at the very end of the book and in the middle of that conflict is where the story ends. So basically you've got many things open, like Preston's parents - are they going to cut him off financially? Archer's work - does he even have it still? Not one example of them going forward, going out as a couple or anything, the story just ended.

A very underwhelming age gap romance, I have to say.
Almost 500 pages of that instead of 250 really hot ones, and you end up with more questions than answers.

Now I'm finally getting to Daire's book. I'm interested in this one and Travis and Caleb's.

Ok, I loved this so much but I am really not a fan of how abruptly these books are ending! The build up is so good in every book, but the aftermath is basically non existent.

I want to see them as a couple without all the hiding, and I want to see the new group dynamic with Serena now that everyone knows the truth.

It feels frustrating to barely have anything at all after everything comes to a head in almost the very last chapter. It's like the tension is building through the whole book, but you're actually still left with all that tension when the book ends.

So, I did like the story but again, it didn't feel finished to me.

it would have been a 3 if there wasn’t any sharing bc what the fuck? i skipped over the chapter and a half that had sharing and it made no impact so it really didn’t need to be there. it doesn’t make sense bc both of them are possessive so having sharing just doesn’t fit the characters 😵‍💫 also it felt like it was just lust for most of it and the end didn’t feel like the end. i kinda wish there was an epilogue or something?

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Format: ebook

“Mr. Carrington was the perfect in-law in my parents’ eyes. Bet that would change if they knew what a ‘good boy’ he thought their son was.”

Sheesh. This book was hot. I love me a good age gap, and add on him being his girlfriend’s dad… SHEESH.

I actually adore Preston. Every other character is this series has managed to piss me off at least once but Preston has always been a precious angel. Except for the way he acts behind closed doors, because dude is a f r e a k. I was living for it. And Archer was so hot with the filthiest mouth. Their chemistry was off the charts.

And the spice! The massage scene had me fucking sweating. And the supply closet scene. And Preston showing up to Archer’s house drunk and jerking himself off to get his attention. Like, the A+ smut was just such a pleasant surprise.

My only complaint with this book is that a lot of time was devoted to setting up the next three books in the series. Lots of Gavin/Daire and East/Zac drama that could’ve been better spent on establishing a stronger not-sex-related connection between Preston and Archer. The love came just a little too soon for me. And while I’m excited for the upcoming stories, I would prefer to read about the tea in their designated books, not when I’m trying to focus on the current relationship.

I really am pumped for Possessive and Salacious PAP. All the buildup better be worth it. As for East’s book, while I’m leaning toward Zac most likely being the love interest, I would absolutely lose my mind if it was a MMM with East, Zac and King. Preferably East as a sub and the other two as doms. Or I’d also love Harry being the love interest. I just want to see him being put in his place and taken down several pegs, even though I do love how much of an asshole he is.

Read in an ever growing number of Buddy Reads with Lilly 🥰.

What happened here?

Why did I give almost 5 stars for the first two books and go all the way down to 3 for this one? Why were Lilly and I up late ranting about this book, utterly incensed?

Well, because of the scene at 60%. What the fuck? These ladies, in all the books I've read by them before, have never done this. I know they've written poly before and all, but I know that ahead and avoid those books. There was even that series with Ace and...I forget the other one's name now, it's been so long, where they like voyeurism, but no one touches them but each other, so I was very cool with that.

In fact, in this scene, I didn't mind the voyeurism at all, and if it had been just that, I still wouldn't have had a problem.

It's the touching that I had a problem with.

Now, they weren't committed at the time. They were still mainly sex at that point (at 60%....), but they were getting towards more, and they had expressed possessiveness/jealousy beforehand at the thought of the other with anyone else.

So why the fuck did that go out the window with the massage therapists? Why didn't they care then, when other people were touching them then?

This is where I get confused, and I need clarification that doesn't come, and isn't clear.

And it makes it even more ridiculous and pisses me off more that literally right after this event happens, Archer is saying to Preston that he doesn't want him to be with anyone else while they're together, for however long.

Preston agrees, but also Archer is like "I know it's hypocritical after what just happened" Uh YEAH, it is! But Preston is all "Nah, it's okay, because it was with you."

Okay, so...does that mean they'll do this in the future? A semi-open relationship? What does the future entail? Would it just be hand jobs only from these massage therapists? Only the massage therapists in the future? Or others? Would it entail blowjobs too?

They express the desire to not fuck anyone else but each other, so what are they okay with, what are they not?

They continue to be absolutely highly possessive/jealous after this scene too, so that makes me even more confused.

But then at the end is this:

"Nah, we’d just get one of those chairs that hauls you up. Or we could call Raul. He’s got arms the size of tree trunks. He could carry you.”
I busted out laughing. “Really? You’d pass me off to that guy?”
“Only if I can still be an active participant.”
My dick stirred, and Preston arched a brow."

Which highly suggests they would be with others in the future, in some capacity.

So...are they open, somewhat open, or not?

I personally do not like this. And I get if they wanted to write that relationship, but I would just need to be warned about it, is my biggest issue.

There is no warning, absolutely none, for this.

And the lack of clarity on what they'll want in the future is what really gets to me. Because that above passage is from the very end of this, when they have said the "I love you's" and are in it for the long haul at this point, unlike at 60%.

So if they did that, I still wouldn't be fond of it, but if they made it clear it would never happen again once they realize they're in love and want to be committed to each other, then I'd get past it. I'd get over it.

But those few lines at the very end do not give confidence once so ever, and it really muddies the waters, and so it continues to piss me off.

Honestly, this was about 4-4.25 star read up until the 60% mark. I was gonna give some points off because this also totally gets rid of a lot of what would make this scandalous before then.

Serena and Preston aren't actually together, they've just been faking it for years to help her reputation and to keep Preston being gay a secret form his parents. They're best friends only.

That takes a lot of the taboo and mess and scandal out of it right there. Then early on, Preston actually tells her about him and her dad! And she needs time to wrap her head around it, but she doesn't freak out, doesn't end their friendship, doesn't get angry, none of that. She reacts really well, actually, and after she wraps her head around it, is very supportive of them.

Which, it's great that she wasn't made to be a villain, but finding out your best friend wants your dad and is gonna be with him would be hard to handle. And fucking weird. Like people get mad at Justin in The Quarterback for how he reacts to his dad being with his friend (not best friend, but still, friend, who is half the guy's age too), but like...his reaction made sense. It was more realistic too, if a bit over the top. But him being so upset, I was like "yes!" because who wouldn't freak out about their dad and their friend or best friend? Like it's weird and wild and fucked!

But he tells her so early, and then the friend group all finds out fairly early, soon after he tells Serena, and that just...gets rid of all the potential juicy-ness, all the ~drama that could happen.

I didn't tag this with forbidden romance because it didn't feel forbidden at all with all those elements taken away.

Like damn, where's the fun mess? Where's the taboo? Where's the fucked up-ness? It's like these ladies wanted to go there but pulled back at the last second to make it the least fucked up it could be. Which, fine, but don't advertise it as such. Don't call this Scandalous, because it wasn't really, at the end of the day.

Yeah, when the general public finds out, they don't take it well, but that's because they think what I thought it would be - that Preston is cheating on his girlfriend with her father who is twice his age.

Take all that away and all it really is is an age-gap romance. Which, raises some eyebrows, but it's hardly scandalous. Preston is 21, and while that's young, it's still an adult, so 🤷‍♀️ not really all that scandalous at the end of the day.

BUT, I held out hope for the reactions of others. The general public, Preston's father, etc. And honestly, if that 60% moment hadn't happened, I would have given this 4 stars just for the lack of actual Scandal.

But this was turning out nicely. I really liked their chemistry, I really liked their dynamic - although it could have ramped up more on the romance and focused less on the sex, although the sex was very hot and passionate - and I was just enjoying them quite a bit.

Everything that happens after 60% too, would have made me happy. When it all gets out at the end, it's too quick in my opinion, and doesn't let it all breathe, and doesn't have fun with this "scandal" being outed, but overall, the last 40% wasn't too bad.

So I would have ended up probably giving this 4 stars.

But then that 60% scene ruined and tainted the rest for me. I would give the last 40% two stars, to round it out to 3 stars.

Because I started to skim here and there - and then go back and read what I skimmed sometimes. Sometimes i just straight up skimmed and didn't go back to read - because I was distracted and frustrated and annoyed at having been blindsided. And not knowing if these two would just be these two or if they weren't going to be monogamous at all.

Especially when fairly soon after, there's an event they are all going to, and Archer forgot he had a date to it that he made weeks ago, before he and Preston started anything, but Preston finds out from Serena and is pissed about it.

"and how odd it was over something as simple as date after what we’d done this weekend with Raul and Johan."

And that above is exactly what I mean. Why does Preston care more about Archer being on a date when he didn't care about another giving him a hand job?

He gets more pissed at the date touching Archer's wrist than he did a guy touching Archer's dick.

He gets so upset by it that he leaves the event in a huff. But it's cool if a guy gives him a hand job? Why?

It doesn't really work in my mind. And I get that some people care more about the romance than the sex, I get that. But once people are in a relationship and there are feelings and love -something supposed to be forever for them, at that point - I personally don't get how people are cool with other's touching the other.

It's just not for me.

So being blindsided by this didn't sit well with me. It ruined a perfectly good romance for me.

This still wouldn't have been my favorite of the series, but I still would have enjoyed it overall.

But now it's just...middle of the road for me. Honestly I felt pissed enough to rate this lower, but after I thought about it, it didn't seem fair as for a majority of this I was quite enjoying it.

But the last 40% ruined a lot of this for me. I liked parts of that 40%, that if 60% hadn't happened, I would have been fairly happy with, so I'm giving that part 2 stars, but with what happened looming over it all, I couldn't give more than that.

I'm so, so disappointed.

At the very least, a warning would have been nice so I'd know going in. Or would have all the information so I could choose not to read it if I wanted.

This has never happened to me before with these ladies, so of course I'm going to continue to read them. And I still absolutely loved the first two in this series and will read the next one (and hopefully the Possessive title means no sharing of any kind, hopefully 😑).

But suffice it to say, I'm not happy overall with this book.

What a let down ☹️

2.5. 3 stars!

Scandalous was a bit of a disappointment for several reasons.

1. I was not expecting Preston to be so submissive and “good boy.” Didn’t fit for how I perceived him from previous books.

2. The whole “sharing” scene was a little off putting for two men that claimed to be all cave man like. I feel like it took away from the authenticity of their relationship and their romance.

4. Preston was way too desperate and Archer was too wishy washy at times.

3. The ending didn’t feel all that resolved even though Preston and Archer got a HEA/HFN.

So while I didn’t enjoy this one all that much, I do intend on reading the rest in the series! All that aside, there were some really cute one liners and heart melting moments.

“With the way I’m feeling, I’ll never be fucking done with you.”

I should've known I wouldn't be able to resist temptation. Not when temptation came in the form of someone as irresistible and goddamn sexy as Preston Abernathy.

I couldn't really get into this book as much as the previous books in the series, I normally love a secret relationship and girlfriends dad trope but I felt this wasn't as well done as some of other books within that trope. I was intrigued by Preston from the previous books wondering how his story would play out and up until the tropes were revealed, I had no clue it would be these ones

Preston's crush on Archer was adorable and he is probably my favourite Park Avenue Prince, a sweet soul with a lot of weight on his shoulders. Archer too is a really lovable character, a really good father and all-round good guy. What let me down in the book was the lack of them getting to know about one another outside of the bedroom. It felt like the plot was pushed aside and the spice more frontward facing and unfortunately it was quite lackluster to me.

I know a lot of readers are going to love this story and I wish I could have loved it more.

What To Expect:
⨳ MM Romance
⨳ Girlfriends Dad
⨳ Age Gap
⨳ Single Parent
⨳ Secret Relationship
⨳ Closeted

I love how you say my name. Don't you want to hear me say yours?

Scandalous Park Avenue Prince by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine is book 3 in the Park Avenue Princes series.

This series is so much fun and each book has surprised me so far. Preston is the Park Avenue prince I was least drawn to. He hadn't really stood out for me in the previous books and he also seemed the most serious of the boys. Guys, I was so wrong about Preston! Behind that good-boy facade was a naughty side to him and it made for a very entertaining story.

The beginning of the book was revelation after revelation and I was immediately hooked. Everything I thought I knew about Preston was totally wrong. I loved watching the evolution of the relationship between Preston and Archer. I totally believed in their connection, despite the huge age difference (20+ years). They were perfectly compatible, and brought out the best in each other. And my god...the sex scenes were on another level. The first scene against the door was sensual and so intimate. I felt like I was witnessing something I wasn't supposed to. The massage scene...this one will be engraved in my memory for a long time.

The word that comes to mind to characterize this book is unexpected. I think it was my favourite novel of the series so far and I didn’t thought I would say that before I started reading. Ella and Brooke have left us again with a few new leads for the remaining Park Avenue princes we have yet to discover. I can't wait to read the next book and to be surprised again!

Another Park Avenue Prince, another mindless fun snack book! I enjoyed this one a lot actually, although I'm not sure how much of a scandal any of it was in the end 🤣 I feel like the scandal was of Preston's own making in using Serena as his beard. I understood his reasoning for it, but aside from the public perception of him cheating on Serena with her father, there wasn't much actual scandal to speak of. Once that was cleared, the only thing left was the age gap, which to each their own 🤷🏼‍♀️

Most of all, I'm glad that Preston was open with Serena and didn't hide his relationship with her father as soon as it became apparent they were going to become an item. Although Serena was a bit shocked by the relationship development at first, she was ultimately cool with it and didn't add any drama to the mix (as long as she didn't have to hear any details 😂). It was all handled pretty sensibly, if I'm being honest. I loved Archer and Preston as a couple, but I wish we'd gotten more at the end to round it out better.

I do think the authors should have noted the CW for sharing since that's not everyone's cuppa. I didn't mind how it played out here, but I was still caught off guard by it.

Noone can ever make me hate Age Gap romances.
The intense longing and jealousy when they see you in public with someone more “suitable” for them. It just hits.

The sexual tension scenes and the massage scene was especially hot here. 🌶️

I was going to give this 4 stars but the angst in the end hit for me so i bumped it up.

I love my mysterious and broody bby daire cant wait for his book
& Archers assistant Benoit. Will he get his own Sidestory ? 👀

It honestly pains me to give this book a lower rating because I had been looking forward to it so much. But the sharing scene really took the wind out of my sails when it came to the possessive romance I was hoping for. It became hard to imagine these characters maintaining exclusivity or that intense possessiveness in the future. I pushed through to the end mostly out of curiosity about the other Princes, but my heart just wasn’t in it anymore. Still, I have high hopes for the next books from these authors. Their storytelling and character development have always drawn me in, and I’m excited to see where they go next!

Going into *Scandalous Park Avenue Prince*, I was really hoping for a juicy forbidden romance between Preston and Archer—girlfriend’s dad, right? But it didn’t quite hit that mark. The first half was decent, but honestly, it felt pretty tame for a book with "Scandalous" in the title. There was chemistry for sure, but their relationship lacked that intense romantic vibe I was craving. I mean, I was enjoying the growth between them, but it wasn’t what I expected.

Things went downhill for me at around 60%. There was a scene where Preston and Archer were getting massages from two guys they had previously hooked up with, and out of nowhere, there was a "sharing scene" with hand jobs. I really wish the authors had put a content warning for that because it totally threw me off. It felt contradictory to the possessiveness and jealousy they had built up, and it just killed the romance for me. How could Preston say he didn’t want Archer with anyone else WHILE they were doing that? It made no sense!!!! They are not possessive at all, both of them.

Overall, the first half of the book had so much potential, and it could've easily been a 4-star read for me. But I just couldn't enjoy it after that scene. Would I recommend it? Not really, since there are other books that handle the forbidden trope much better. But I think fans of these authors might still find something to like here.

this is actually 4 stars but that damn sharing scene ruined everything for me.
like make it make sense, no cw and they’re so possessive and they randomly decide that sharing is fun? no thank you.

also, yes, you can’t just jump in and read a book in this series, it’s too confusing. you need to read everything. i feel like i should reread book 4 now but i think once it’s more than enough.

another thing that pisses me off is that harry is not getting a prince. my boy deserved that

I want to start by saying that there's no cheating in the story. We learn the truth about Preston and Serena's relationship in the first few pages so there's no dawn out drama about it.

While in the first two books the characters were very close in age, this time we have an age gap romance and best friend's father as well.

So Preston, one of the PAPs, is in love with Archer, who is about two decades older than him. One night he finds the courage to kiss him and things start to change. Archer sees Preston in a different light and after Preston chases him some they grow closer.

I really liked how mature and calm Serena was about the whole thing. She handled the shock of the knowledge very well and was one of their biggest supporters. Points for her character!

So far I'm enjoying this series a lot and I look forward to reading the books for the rest of the princes. I think (and hope) two of them will end up together, but we'll see.

I really liked this one, up until the ending. I was pulled into Archer and Preston's story. I loved the taboo it gave you. I mean, Preston is in a fake relationship with Serena, is secretly gay, and falls for fake-girlfriends dad. Oh and he's supposed to go into politics which we all know is full of scandals.

And I was all in, up until I realized how it was going to end. This book needed several more chapters to wrap it up I felt like. There is no epilogue and I felt like it ended to...I don't know what word to use.

And because it ended the way it did, I'm left with questions. Who released the picture? I mean they bring in Harry to deal with the photo. Well who did it?? Why?? Archer is the president and owns his own company, but is fired? lol He doesn't fight to keep his company? What the hell is Preston going to do? Does his parents cut him off? Do they continue to try and end Archer? Do they make up? Do they actually stay together?

I feel slighted by this ending.

God I loved every second of this book. It had me laughing out loud and (can you believe it???) crying my eyes out. This was amazing, the chemistry was off the charts and the found family trope here is one of my favorites. EVER. I just adore the way the Princes bicker and tease, but always have each other's backs. Can't wait for the next book in this series!! ❤️

It was 🔥🔥🔥! Archer 'FILTH' Carrington never stood a chance against the irresistible game of Preston Abernathy.

Their flirtation was off the charts, even though it was short-lived because their attraction was simply too powerful to resist. I loved their relationship, it felt so natural and fluid. Despite the age gap and the power exchange dynamic, they were on the same page and had a lot of fun together.

What surprised me was the lack of angst in this book. I was expecting lots of drama given the circumstances, but everyone was surprisingly chill. Of course, there was some drama towards the end and I absolutely lived for it! Preston is such a sweet soul and I adore his personality. And as Archer says, there's a sexy mystery hiding behind his polished façade. The chemistry between them is insane, they are scorching hot together! Their Sir/boy dynamic worked so well for them. And at the same time, they were incredibly tender and caring toward each other, which was so sweet.

I also loved seeing all the princes together again. The banter and friendship between them is just fantastic. I can't wait to read all their stories! I'm guessing Gavin and Daire are up next, or maybe Travis? Either way, I'm excited!

I really enjoyed this book and the whole series. The vibe and the characters are amazing, and Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank have once again delivered a fantastic story. They're definitely one of my favorite writing duos! If you're looking for a steamy, low-angst read with amazing characters and a captivating storyline, I highly recommend this book but I think you should read the previous books in the series first.

"Why did he have to look at me like that?   “Watch me,” Preston said. “If you won’t touch me, then watch me.” I shouldn’t. But even when I told him again to stop, it was halfhearted. Because the truth was, I didn’t want him to stop, and that was a dangerous admission I couldn’t say out loud."

Scandalous Park Avenue Prince is book 3 in the fabulous Park Avenue Princes series by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine and I am totally loving this steamy, MM college romance series so far!

This is Preston and Archer's story, and this one features an age-gap, forbidden love, (fake) girlfriend's dad trope, with all the usual suspects playing their part.

You'll enjoy this one if you love:

❣️MM college romance
❣️Age gap (21 years)
❣️Found family
❣️Forbidden
❣️Fake girlfriend's dad
❣️All the steam
❣️HEA

Can't wait for book 4, Possessive Park Avenue Prince, out on 11 April ❣️.

The guy on the cover is :))) <333 :)))

DNF'd @ 26% I just couldn't get into it. I didn't hate anything but I also didn't like anything enough to keep going. The romance or the whole forbidden thing didn't hit as hard as I was hoping. But from whatever I've read so far in the series, I like Travis and would still give Salacious a try. If that didn't work out, I'll just accept the author-duo as DNF for me.

The narration was fantastic though. Aiden Snow(Archer) & Perry Bishop(Preston) really brought out the characters.

I'm definitely in the minority here, but I didn't totally connect with this book.
I love this series and I was looking forward to read this story because... girlfriend's dad! And also because Preston always seemed the most sane and wise of the Avenue Princes.
I really loved how he was enthralled by Archer and consumed by the crave for him. I also think his conflict between what he really wanted and what his parents demanded from him was very well written.
I loved Archer too: a nice man and a great dad. Maybe too devoted to his work, but honest and with good principles. I liked Archer's disbelief at knowing Preston was interested in him and it was very entertaining reading how he tried to resist his attraction for the younger man.
Serena is an amazing woman, it doesn't happen often that a female character is so well balanced in MM romance.

What prevented me from giving a higher rate:
At the beginning of the book, Preston says he's been in love with Archer for years, but there are no feelings involved between them until the 60% of the book.
There are plenty of lust and sexual connection, but there's basically no romance between them. It's not clear why Archer fell in love with Preston either. They don't seem having anything in common beside the sexual attraction and a very good dynamic in bed.
The sex scene with the masseurs made me really uncomfortable: why did Archer book a sex session with them before asking Preston if he would have liked being touched and watched by a man they both had sex with? Maybe other readers will find it hot, but for me it was unnecessary and cringe.
Lastly, the end seems rushed and I would have liked to know more about how his relationship with his son in law affected Archer's business.

I still recommend this book, I'm sure other readers could appreciate it more that me. I look forward to the other stories, especially East's: he's still an asshole and I cannot wait for him to fall in love.

I received an ARC of this book from ForewordPR and this is my honest review
