Complete Series!

*** This is a spin off of the Finding My Home series, Jynx’s story. You don’t need to read the Finding My Home series to enjoy this one! ***

Bow Down

My life got turned upside down when I got an inheritance from the grandmother I never knew existed. Of course, it came with stipulations, one of them being that I attend this rich as hell private school, not so bad, right? Wrong, I come from the wrong side of the tracks, and I thrive there. Cursing is my only language, I’m covered in tattoos, and the sound of breaking bones is like music to my ears. I’m bored though, ever since my uncle put me on the back burner due to a small incident, I’ve been going out of my damn mind not doing the usual jobs for him, the bloody ones. So I decided to give it a go, rich bitch myself up, looking and acting nothing like the real me, unobservant, meek, and innocent. None of which I am even close to being. I figured I’d do it for a day and then say I tried and call it quits; the problem? The Kings, Rome, Ace, Rip, Malachi, and Mason, took an instant interest in me, bringing me into their group. So I’ve been playing meek and mild for months when all I want to do is have my wicked with them, that is until they suddenly turn on me. Cruel and hurtful is not something I’m used to from them, and they’ve got the whole school backing them up. I think it’s about time the real me came out to play, and it’s a damn shame no one can warn them it’s going to get bloody!

Kneel

Jynx isn’t going to let those who murdered her mother get away with it. She’s going to get to the bottom of why her grandmother was involved with the Ravens, and she’s going to make those who harmed her mother kneel and beg for mercy before she ends them. She’s not doing it alone though, she’s got the guys by her side, as confusing as her feelings may be for them, and she also calls in the help of her old friend, the one who saved her life. Getting her revenge may come with a hell of a lot more than she bargained for because, in this world, nothing is ever simple.

Rise

As if taking over the Ravens wasn’t going to be complicated enough, Jynx has already taken a job for the leader of the Romanos, and of course, it can’t be straightforward. People from their pasts are popping up from all directions, all posing very different threats and entwining them in ways they could have never imagined.
Not everything is as it seems, and with more answers come even more questions. At least she can aim her gun at some of the issues; that always makes her feel better.
As always, they will rise to the challenge together, their bond strengthening even more. None of them are prepared for the revelations that are coming.

Fight

So many things have been revealed over the past few hours, and I have a feeling there are more revelations to come.

Once I’ve gotten over the huge personal revelation, that I was not even slightly prepared for, we then have to find out who’s killing the parents and whether they pose a threat to us as well.

More secrets are revealed and more dangers discovered as we find out just how much Silas screwed over the town he was supposed to protect.

By the time all is said and done, we’re coming out of this together and stronger than ever before. First, it’s time for some fun and a whole lot of bloodshed.

I can’t wait.

It begins to drag a bit too much at the end for my liking, but still a good storyline!

I first started reading this series a year or so ago before realizing it wasn't complete. I read the first two books and had to wait for it to finish! The story stuck with me for ages, despite not even remembering what series it was from for a while. I finally came across this omnibus earlier this month and since it was finished, I jumped right into it! While I still enjoyed the storyline, especially early on, I found myself eventually getting almost eager to finish it so I could start reading something else. It could be that I was starting to want a change after a while, but I think the story was just dragging on a bit too long... but I'll get to that again in a moment.

These books definitely need more editing. Personally, I'm surprised it hasn't been done yet and that it went out the way it did. The punctuation is brutal throughout all four books. That's the biggest issue. There's also a few spelling mishaps. If that ever got redone, it would make for a better quality book.
The writing at times can come off as a bit amateur, but not enough to ruin the story. For example, there's a point in the book where the fire department calls the group about a fire. First off, the fire department wouldn't be calling so fast after getting to the scene (it wouldn't even be the fire department calling, I can't imagine). Second, when they do call in the story, they jump right into telling whoever answered the phone that there was a fire. They didn't verify who they were speaking to, announce who they were themselves, and they said it looked like arson while the place was still on fire and before there was even an investigation. None of the conversation was realistic whatsoever and sounds like something a young person would write, not a published author. It's not well done at all. This was one of the best examples I can point out, though a lot of the conversations just don't flow how actual people would talk.

Despite this, the story itself is still worth taking the time to read and the occasional poorly written conversation doesn't take away from how good the series is overall, thankfully.

That being said, I felt the ending was more drawn out more than it needed to be. Details were added that really weren't necessary, little stories that have absolutely no consequence to the plot. It just felt like pointless filler. I started skimming over things for that reason. I just wanted to get on with the story. As I mentioned earlier, I got to the point where I was just eager to finish the book, unfortunately. I loved the story really on and was excited to see how things would play out with "the families," but it all just kind of fizzled out for me.

Some quick, final details about the book! This is a slow burn series. Jynx has five men in her harem, and I can count on two hands probably how many times they "got it on." That's fine for me, I've actually come to enjoy the plot more than spice in my books, but if you're looking for lots of hot peppers, this isn't going to check that mark.

Also, this book is MOSTLY single POV from Jynx. However, the guys do occasionally have a small scene from their own POV. I prefer books that are multiple POV, so the fact the author did that appeased me.

Would I recommend this series? Yeah... maybe. I do like a good female lead who can handle her own and has a reputation among the criminal world. Jynx is certainly not a damsel in distress! I like that there's mystery, connections to characters that either currently have or WILL have their own books. There wasn't too predictability within the storyline. While it may drag on towards the end, I think I'd still suggest it to people looking for a strong female character.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I fell in love with Jynx and her guys in Ever's books. Her story was just as great. I enjoyed every page of this book.

Brilliant series

I've just finished the 4 book set of the Jynx spin off and wow was it good.

I know that we get to see a lot more of her and her guys in Ever's books but I really hope we get more books for Jynx because I know I will really miss all her side characters like the Grandparents and I'm still in the mindset that her Dad is alive and I want to see if I'm right or totally off base lol.

I keep thinking that if he is and doesn't know his parents were alive but was worried to go back home because of the other parents killing everyone, he wouldn't have wanted to be known to still be alive and maybe he never found out he had a daughter because her Mother was a total bitch and wouldn't even tell Jynx one single thing about her own Dad so I'm sure she didn't tell him she had his kid.

I really wanted to get to see her interact with her Grandparents more and learn her family trade (which we already know she ends up being an expert at) with Ever's books but still would be nice to carry on their own story.
I want to know more about the dogs 🐕 and their crazy kitty 😺 .

Their was one point in this series when she was learning about who stayed in the Ravens, anyway she said that a couple of teams stayed and a bloke in his 40's.
Well I was convinced that would end up being her Dad and he was hiding out in plain site but he was never mentioned again.
I'm normally really good at sussing the story out, like I knew who Gerald was and guessed about her Grandmother so I was over the moon happy when I got my wishes.
Then a lovely surprise with the other Families was a really lovely story line for the guys but wanted to know more about them all too.

Please, I know we are getting a 20+ book series for Ever and we see a lot of Jynx and her guys in it but I would love anotger lot of books for this series too.

Nikita is a brilliant and great author so you really should start reading her works as I know you won't be disappointed.
If you love strong woman, RH books, mystery, violence and men who adore their woman then look no further than all of Nikita's books.

Wow

We meet Jynx in the Finding Home series, but this series really should be read first. She is a deadly female, and when some trauma happens, she gets an inheritance from a grandma she never knew existed. While she must attend a certain school she meets her men but they are cruel after she thought they were the only friends she had. This book has lots of action and chemistry and mystery

loved the FMC and MMC

Good series but does need another edit. Some of the characters names get changed for a chapter or two which gets confusing. Very plot driven not heavy on the spicy and no group scenes. One thing that annoyed me is the back story is very vague and you never really get a true answer of why things happened in the first place. For the backstory being a big part of the plot this drive me crazy which is why I can only give it a 3.

fast paced but kept me on my toes !

The only real complaint i have is her dad’s story just didn’t feel complete to me. The fact we don’t find out how he died etc. just kind of felt like a loose end. Other than that i loved it. The characters development was amazing and it has enough cliffhangers and shock moments to keep me entertained! Definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a fast paced book !

Loved the characters

This was a pretty good series. The characters are wonderful, including the side characters. Some parts made it hard to put down while other parts were a little slow. The action that did happen, just anticlimactic and too easy. It wasn’t intense as expected. I skimmed a lot of the series. The spice was ok, no group scenes though. Very tame for RH.

Loved it

Jynx and her guys are the best. I really enjoyed going on their journey and learning some of the earlier stories in the ongoing world. I cannot get enough of the books this author writes and am patiently waiting for whichever books come out next.

I enjoyed the book The main female character is a little chaotic and over the top .MFC is fun . My one disappointment is that the main male characters were not equal with the MFC . I prefer when main M & FMC are more equal and they take turns saving the day.

Live it

I’m glad I was able to read all four books in one. The ending is great. I read about Jynx in Evers story, but this is great on getting her and her guys background. The twists in the story were mind boggling. Highly suggest you read it. Very entertaining.

This was a great series! One that is stand alone but also clarified things from the finding my home series. It was, funny, entertaining, romantic, steamy as well as had a twist.

very rushed

It starts off very fast paced and disorganized. It’s hard to read and connect with the characters, very immature and quite a few grammatical errors
