The Wild #4

The Unruly

Rate this book
They took everything from us.
Our home. Our family. Our freedom.

We’ve been forced on a trip from hell with people we hate.
With each step we take, we lose hope of ever making our way back home again.
These people have a wicked agenda.
We are their prey.

They’re brutal and cold.
Every person in their group has twisted delusions.
I need for my other brothers to rescue us and release us from our prison.

As time quickly passes, I realize no one is coming for us.
The only way we’ll escape is if we save ourselves.

I’ll have to be smart and calculating.
The timing needs to be just right.

When we make our great escape, I’ll finally be at liberty to explore the feelings I have for my brothers. Love, so pure and innocent, can’t be a bad thing.

Desperate. Starved. Agonizing. Desire.

The way I ache for my siblings doesn’t feel wrong.
I can no longer fight against these forbidden cravings.

We’ll love in secret and hope our parents don’t find out.
Because, if they do discover what we’ve done, it could mean banishment, or worse.

Whatever happens, we’ll figure it out. We’re in this together.
Nothing will keep us apart ever again.

Our love is untamed.
And we are the unruly.

╰┈➤KITTY KATS CRAZY ABOUT BOOKS

📚 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐘 📚 Is the fourth full length forbidden romance book within (The wild) series by author K. Webster.

TROPES:
🚫 Banned from Amazon
🌲 2nd generation
🌲 Forbidden sibling love
🌲 MM
🌲 MMF
🌲 Cult Kidnapping
🌲 Wild World romance

Remember that brutal cliffy in the previous book (the Untamed), my anticipation levels skyrocketed so I was excited to jump back into this wild world. This picks up right where that left off, the Jamison family were in grave danger. Did they all survive? This was all due to trusting the wrong people and offering them a safe haven, now it's a family divided down the middle. Three siblings taken against their will, Raegan, Ronan & Ryder, with no way of knowing who or if their family members were still alive and if they would be rescued. A fight for survival.

During this time Ronan suffers abuse at the hands of his kidnapper, so go into this knowing that there will be triggers during this point.

The second half or is what seems like the second half is where all the taboo/forbidden aspect of the story kicks in.

This was cray cray, we asked for forbidden, we wanted forbidden, well we got it, this is as forbidden as it gets. This is where the mind game comes into play, we know it's beyond wrong, it's forbidden, just nope, nope, nope, shudders, but the way K. Webster writes and weaves their sibling love for each other it just seemed so right. I couldn't for the life of me imagine them with anyone else.

I'm so excited to keep going with this series, to see what other stories the author is going to cast onto these characters.

The Unruly picks up right after The Untamed.
Reagan, Dakota, Declan, Ronan, Destiny and Sadie get taken violently by Michael, Logan and their clan. Reed almost dies getting dragged behind the car. Luckily Reagan is able to cut the rope and he survives but barely.

While being prisoner they experience how cruel everyone is. Dakota and Declan get a new mom and dad. Destiny, Sadie and Raegan get married off. And Logan will teach his pet Ronan his place.
I love how strong willed they are to escape. But while wanting to escape they also get punished severely. Especially Ronan and Destiny. Kristin, another prisoner, she experience mental, physical and sexual abuse as well.

Back at the house, what is left of the camp, they regroup. Reed is hurt badly. And they settle down. But as soon as Eve and Atticus arrive. Rowdy, Wilde and Ryder go after their siblings to save them.

This story is rough. When Kristin tells how her boyfriend Eddie got murdered my heart broke.
My heart also broke for Rowdy who finally tells what happened to him when he was in the city. I love how Ryder vows to protect his family no matter what.
And that is what this story is about. It's about a family who bicker but are united so tightly. If one person gets hurt, you hurt them all.

I wish I could kill some characters myself. Damn how I despised some of them.

But I also loved how the love between Ronan, Ryder and Raegan is a powerful thread throughout this story. Of course it is their book. And I loved all the passion and love they shared. It was so beautiful and powerful.

Though I secretly kinda hoped Ryder and Raegan would have had a one on one moment as well. But nevertheless. I love this story so much. It is not just a taboo book. But a book about family and strength as well. And I loved that. I love the tiny glimpses into the other characters as well. I am absolutely ready for Rowdy's book!! His soul just speaks to mine. And I cannot wait to see what his story might bring. Of course this book implies where it is going. And I hope Kristi will write it soon!

Oh and I adore what Reed does in the end for his son. His children! He truly is a papa bear!

AND BIG SPOILER ALERT, SKIP THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT THE SPOILER:
I adore grandma and grandpa Devon and Reed. They are so proud. ♥

5 big ass stars for my favorite family in the wilderness!

The Unruly is a dark thriller romance between Ronan, Ryder, and Raegan. After the previous cliffhanger, I was really curious as to where this story would go and how all of these characters would survive such a dire and near-impossible situation. I was not disappointed. Ronan, Ryder, and Raegan are put through intense situations that force all of them to go to drastic lengths to protect their family without losing any sense of hope.

Overall I found this story much darker than the previous entry. At times I found it much more of a thriller than a romance. The love story between the three main characters does develop more with some steamy encounters, which becomes more complicated as the story progresses.

I was excited to see these characters again. Their family has such strong bonds with one another, and I appreciate the lengths they will go to protect their family. Their devotion leads to many intense moments that make a thrilling romance. I also appreciate the small hints at where the story can continue with other siblings. They are all so dynamic that I am really excited to see whose story is told next.

I really liked this book. However, please don't read this book if you haven't read Book 3, The Untamed, as it's a duology & if incestuous relationships (brother/sister) make you queasy.

I'm so glad that in the author's note, K Webster said she has more ideas for books in the Wild world as this is one of my favorite series, and I was hoping she'd write more books for it. I would love a book for Rowdy (did K Webster allude to a Rowdy/Destiny relationship??) and Wild. Incest (brother and sister) is a kink of mine you don't find in a lot of books, and authors who do write about that relationship get banned and are afraid to write more books about it. I read this twincest M/F book, and when the twins finally decided to have sex, the book ended on a cliffhanger. Because the book was banned from Amazon, the author never wrote book 2, which was upsetting and very disappointing. I'm glad Kristi is brave enough to publish books like this, but she also has a big fanbase, so it's easier for her to not publish on Amazon and not lose out on a lot of profit (like the other author I mentioned.)

Even after most of the conflict with the evil cult group dies down, there's still the forbidden aspect of the sibling relationship. Raegan is the inciter; she's always like who cares, this is okay, whereas her brothers want her, but then come to their senses when they realize they're siblings and could impregnate her with a deformed baby. We have a push-and-pull dynamic going on.

I wish there were more Raegan Ryder scenes because these two were super hot together (hotter than Ronan and Raegan), and I wish

The whole smelly wolf thing was amusing and brought comedic relief to a story that was sometimes very dark and violent (multiple murders and death).

I'm excited to read Book 5 and wonder when that will come out! And what I'll be doing in my life and where I'll be living. We'll see. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I highly recommend this book to taboo lovers and am very grateful to have received an ARC!! Thank you! In no way has that affected my rating or review :)

This book made me want to read more MFM books where there are two brothers, so any recommendations are appreciated ;)

🌶️🌶️

After that insane cliffhanger I was more than ready to continue this crazy ride.

Reagan and Ronan and most of their younger siblings are at the mercy of the cult people. While Ronan grins and bears it, Reagan fights back while still using a bit of restraint. And that’s only to keep her siblings safe.

I was surprised by a few things that happened but I was glad that they happened, it put the 3 MC’s on more equal footing. I’m being vague so bare with me.

Kristi wasn’t whistling Dixie when she said there would be more violence and more triggers in this one. I can handle it but I felt bad for the siblings, especially Ronan who incurred the brunt of it.

Even after the storyline’s climax things didn’t simply work out or go back to normal. There were still demons to exorcise.

I loved when Ronan, Reagan & Ryder finally came together. I’m not a big fan of MMF most of the time because I feel like one always feels left out and for a while that was the case. Each of them felt that at one point or another. So when it was all three I found my happy place.

I also feel like this is when it was the hottest. They had the most chemistry and the emotions felt more real and loving. Plus it being a K Webster book, you knew how things were going to end up.

I hated to see this end, I’d been looking forward to their story since Kristi’s first teaser. Now I’m hoping that the next book she hinted at comes to fruition and soon.

K Webster is the 'Taboo Queen'. And has delivered another riveting story.

Ronan, Ryder and Rae's story will draw you in from start to finish. There story begins in The Untamed, so you will need to read that book first.

But if you want an overall picture of there family's dynamics then I would suggest reading The Wild first (their parents story)

The Wild series is very Taboo; it does feature relationships of an incestuous nature.

So please heed the Trigger Warnings! Books in this series are banned, though they can be obtained via her Author website and Eden Books website.

Love this series and highly recommend reading it!

Thanks again to Unalive Promotions for providing me with yet another awesome ARC.

5 "Adrenaline rush" stars ⭐
A DARK thriller tabbo (incest) MMF romance in Alaskan wild, with Cult, hunt, action, torture & hurt, emotions, lines obliterated, steamy scenes🔥, a good surprise & a HEA! Triggers forewarned. It picks up right after the 1st book (as it's a duet). This is heart-aching & delicious, Half survival & Half taboo. I devoured within 8hrs! I had to psych myself up for the #ARC but so worth it. Love Ronan, Raegan & Ryder, the fam & wolves too.

**I'mma rant, so maybe spoilers ahead!

The last book ended on such a sad note. It's not fair. Being sheltered, the moment they trust newcomers, this happens?! Gosh, I hated those people & their cultist practices, MONSTERS. Fire, Half family kidnapped... Rae's fierce, bratty mouth is trouble but so useful! I love her. Ronan my sweetheart, dear god, the hell he went through with Logan...😭. Beating, assault, Ron got the worst of it!! Abuse changes people forever.

Ry, so worried but being strong, & the rest recover, then the search for siblings is on. Trail, talks, insights. While Ron & Rae try finding an out...Torture, ritual, crossed, Ron's "2 gifts" helped Rae so much! Poor Ron & Dez, broken & pulling away, they should get therapy 😭. I'm ecstatic when ours get free. When the monsters die bloody 1-by-1!! Thrilling mid & climax OMFG! 😈

After this, the 3 deserve eachother 🥺. Desire, talks, touches, lines forever crossed. There's plenty of angst, shame, worry. PTSD, Alone, ache ☹️(especially Ron). It takes time, but love's irresistible, a solution, heal. Whoa (?!) baby surprise. The 3's sexy times are HOTT🔥, firsts, MM, MF & MMF! I'm happy to inform Ron's a lil Bi for Rae. Love'em!

Can't be secret forever...the 3 worried (a bit too much, really) of the parents reaction 😩. The "burst", rightful fear—Still I think it went ok! A family loved & safe. The HEA's wholesome. The epilogue's edgy but good. I loved oldest bro Rowdy, excited for his story (Destiny?🤔)! Cousin Wild's too kinda. I love Webster's books, This duet was my intro to this world!

Genre: Dark Romance
Type: Book 4 of The Wild series
POV: First Person - Multiple
Rating:

After being broken apart, the Jamisons were determined to fix their family. However, external forces were not the only thing they had to battle. Internal desires could prove to be even more destructive.

This book was a nonstop adrenaline rush from beginning to end. I enjoyed the overall story but felt the ending was too easy. The first half was suspenseful and action-packed survival mode, while the second half was relationship indulgence. The sexy scenes were scorching, and the taboo element helped elevate it.

No one fucks with my family and goes unscathed. No one.

The Unruly is a story of resilience and unbreakable bonds. It would appeal to readers who enjoy suspenseful, dark romance.

Note: The Untamed and The Unruly is a duet, but can be read without reading the other books in The Wild world

I will preface this review with the following TWs: r*pe, kidnapping, physical and emotional abuse.

This book was hilarious - I was not expecting it to be so... unserious, considering the subject matter.

K threw everything but the kitchen sink into this book. Between the Higher Earth Community, Rowdy's batshit crazy past and the 3 MC's relationship, I didn't know wether I was coming or going. It left me feeling disinterested and skimming pages quite often.

The one thing I took away from this book? R&D's lack of accountability and parenting; this was unbelievable considering the lifestyle they chose for themselves...

Devon and Reed have to be hands down the most selfish parents and people I have read about in a long while. The utter lack of preparation for when their children got older is breathtaking; they appear to have been too busy fucking each other and popping babies out for the last 20 years to actually care about anyone past themselves.

Devon is too busy struggling to stay on her high horse; the woman has a serious case of superiority complex with a huge helping of hypocrite to go with it. I'm not surprised, considering it is all she has to cling on to, and to admit otherwise would show the reality of her dire situation with her father.

If they had prepared their children for life through education and life experiences, the situation with Ryder, Ronan and Reagan may not have ever happened.

The fact that Devon and Reed's answer to this complication in the little "utopia" they created for themselves, is to kick their son out of the only home he has ever known and be thrown into a world he has no knowledge of and would most likely not be able to cope in is crazy.

Then, when shit really hits the fan and Reagan is up the duff, what does the mother of the year suggest? Abortion.

If this isn't shitty parenting, I don't know what is.

I believe this is called the consequences of your own actions - and yet the children are being blamed for it.

I thought the inclusion of the Higher Earth Community peeps was not needed. It took away from the main plot which was the complicated relationship between the 3 MCs. In the end we were left with an unfinished piece of work that left me feeling disappointed as this story had a lot of potential but in the end read fell flat. The MC's ending was rushed to say the least and I felt like their story and the plot took a back seat for the entirety of the book.

My honest opinion? I think K should have left the Wild series as it was before the kids got involved.

Beginning where the shocking cliffhanger left us, we pick right back up with the Jaimison family in grave danger. Raegan, Ryder, Ronan all in their own way are trying to survive or be rescued. This is an action packed read and not for the faint of heart. Be warned there are many difficult topics throughout and is not a typical taboo romance like the first series. It’s almost like two books, half a survival story with action and the other half a taboo romance. Don’t worry as there are still many in this world that could get a story of their own and we do see everyone from previous books in this one. Told in multiple POV.

I can only give it 5 starts? Really Goodreads you need to fix that because K. Webster has a way to wrap your heart with words. The 4th book in The Wild series was intense. There were times where I wanted to dive into the pages, stalk my way through the Alaskan wilderness, murder certain characters and hug all the others. I was ready to dive into this book the second I finished The Untamed, scared I wouldn't survive the wait for The Unruly. Fears were laid aside when I got my ARC and devoured this book in one night! The conclusion was very much worth the wait. I was squirmy in my bed from the intensity, the laughter, the tears and the steam! It's not wonder I had a hard time falling asleep.

K's characters are part of my heart and I am making room for the next generation of The Wild World!

Continuing without interruption in the timeline, the Jamison family is violated by trespassers in the wild and they are committed to saving what they have so lovingly created. Given the what they are facing, the connection shared between Ronan, Reagan and Ryder is intensified on many levels.

“Hell will be to pay. Vengeance will be served. We will get even.”

Narrated in multiple POV, this story is filled with action and the exploration of feelings and consequences involving Ryder, Ronan and Reagan. With each character complementing each other, Ryder stands out as the one they look up to, therefore, he places a great burden on himself. Trying to keep the family happy becomes difficult when what they feel for each other feels so natural.

Going into this book, I was hoping for certain dynamics and it certainly delivered. In addition to hot scenes, the emotional development was well paced. Ryder was a standout for me. Though the end felt a little too bright given their lifestyle, I enjoyed the story.

The Unruly is about unconventional love. This story would appeal to those seeking a highly taboo dark romance.

Part dark suspense and part romance

The family is torn apart and it’s a dark, cruel, and highly suspenseful mission to get the kids back that were kidnapped by a cult, The Higher Earth Community.
Take the trigger warnings seriously. It’s a graphic novel.

“The three of us share an unbreakable bond. We’ve been fighting it, but it’s too strong.”

While I felt the last half of the story was rushed and anticlimactic, it was still a fun read and a great conclusion to this twisted family.
I still absolutely hate Devon as a mom. She’s totally awful.
Daddy Reed is still top bae.

**SPOILER FREE**

The Unruly picks back up where we left off in The Untamed. The cliffhanger at the end of The Untamed was pretty brutal so I didn’t know what to expect going into this one.

I said this with my review with The Untamed and I will say it again…do not go into this duet expecting it to be like The Wild and The Free because in my opinion, they are nothing alike. Not that it’s a bad thing, I just didn’t anticipate the story we were given.

This duet read more like a thriller to me than a taboo romance. It was DARK. Much darker than previous books in this universe. There are some pretty brutal things that happen that could be triggering for some. I would advise reading the content warning.

While this is labeled a taboo romance, I kind of felt like the romance took a back burner to everything else. The first half of the book was exciting. I was on the edge of my seat to see what was going to happen and then we got to the second half…

The first half and second half felt disconnected from each other. There was a lot that happened in the first half and then everything felt rushed in the second half. The relationship needed more time to develop in order to feel organic. Also given how taboo the situation is, I didn’t buy everyone just easily accepting everything.

Ultimately, I just have mixed feelings. I liked it but I’m left wanting more. I honestly enjoyed the thriller aspect of it more than the romance. It was a quick read though and found myself not wanting to put it down. I just don’t think this duet is going to be for everyone.

Thanks to Unalive Promotions and K Webster for the arc.

I will NEVER get tired of The Wild universe! It has been one of my favorites since the 1st book, and it will continue to be one of my favorites. I loved how this ended and I NEED MORE! I’m dying for Rowdy’s and Destiny’s book!! I can’t wait, and really hope I don’t have to wait much longer for the next one to release. K Webster is one of my favorite authors and she can write anything! She never fails to drag me in, especially with her taboo books. This book was a WILD ride, and it was perfect. Logan got what was coming to him, as well as, the rest of those rapist psychopathic cult members! I really wish I could just jump into another book in this world right now. It may be an issue trying to find a new book to read that will keep my attention. I need another ménage book cause now I’m in the mood for another one. Fingers crossed the next book will come out soon!

I love K Webster. I love her I love her I love her. Her writing style is beautiful and write up my alley. However, this is in a different league than some of her other books and I don’t know how to feel about it. I loved the Wild & the Free. But this one felt different. Rushed, maybe? I almost had to force myself to get through it. I love the characters, but I loved Devon’s and Reed’s romance more. This just seemed like it was fumbling. I hate having to write a review like this. But it just wasn’t up to par with the multitude of other books she writes.
However, she hinted a Rowdy story and I am here for it!!

this just wasn't the K Webster I know and love. if you're gonna do this type of forbidden and taboo you gotta COMMIT and I'm sorry Raegan and Ronan have absolutely no chemistry. the fact that he's gay but is doing stuff with her knowing he's not really into it just gives me the ick like no.

If you are looking for a dark & taboo romance that will keep you at the edge of your seat, then you better read this book. Fair warning, if you are not comfortable with incestuous relationships, better skip this one.

The Unruly is part of a duet but could be read as a standalone. It starts with a cliffhanger, but the good thing about it is, you can easily follow the story even if you have not read the other books. However, it would be the best to read the other books in the series of course.

I found that K. Webster has a pretty good handle in telling these kind of stories. This book had a mix of everything. It had romance, suspense, drama, and let’s not forget the smut. It had a little bit of everything you could ask for. K. Webster writes a lot of taboo stories and she writes them hardcore. I don’t think this story could get more taboo than it already is and I liked every minute of it.

Overall: 🌟🌟🌟.5
Spice: 🌶🌶.5

This is the 2nd book of a new duet into the Wild World. The story picks up after a truly shocking turn of events that left us all on a cliffhanger from The Untamed.

When I finished this book, I felt like I'd been spun up by a tornado and spit out. Kristi's writing is impeccable and fully immersive as always. Everything I've ever read from her has been 5 stars. I had such high hopes and anticipation for this book and it really fell flat.

I simply may not have understood what to expect or the direction any new books planned to take. When I was done I just felt this wasn't a wild world story. It felt more like a psychological thriller instead of a taboo story. The taboo parts felt slapped on at the end and almost cheapened everything the siblings went through.

I look forward to where she goes with the other characters and how everyone moves forward from the events in this duet.

Raegan, Ryder and Ronan’s story continues in The Unruly and K Webster has delivered again with taboo skills and jaw dropping characters.
After that huge cliffhanger in The Untamed, leaving us readers in a state of devastation limbo, these characters who were taken from their family endure unimaginable suffering and pain while trying to find their way home.
Love has not boundaries is the motto of this story, we don’t get to choose who we give our heart to, it just knows to whom it belongs.
I will patiently wait to see who is next in this series. Will it be Rowdy and his story we were teased with or Wild and his story and POV.
Fabulous storytelling, heartfelt characters, amazing series ❤️

Thank you to K. Webster and her team for the advance reader copy of The Unruly, the fourth story set in The Wild universe and the follow-up to The Untamed.

I want to preface my review with a warning that one should check the trigger warnings before diving into not just this book but any book from the world of The Wild. I found this book incredibly intense and I want to warn people now that I read the warnings, but felt very uncomfortable. My being uncomfortable did affect my review and you can read my detailed thoughts here.

I am a K. Webster review team member, but I remain honest and genuine in my reviews.

I did not like this at all. Major trigger warnings. The taboo aspect was not hot at all. It felt icky. And how were the parents so okay with it is beyond me. The mother put up a reluctant fight but soon she shut up too. The kidnapping is not my thing. I will steer clear of that trope from now on. I am not sure if I will continue with the series as the author said she’s gonna expand it with other children and Rowdy’s book. This fell flat

I was intrigued to see what direction the story would take, but it ended almost exactly as I imagined it would after the ending of the first book.

Disappointed.

🌶🌶🌶🌶

K Webster, the Queen of Taboo, has done it again. This book took me for an emotional, dark, and taboo ride. It had me feeling all the feels. I was so excited to read this after the insane cliffhanger in The Untamed, and K Webster did not disappoint. She continues to be one of my favorite authors, and I love how she pushes boundaries and limits in her books.

It picks up right after the cliffhanger where all hell broke loose and our characters were left in danger or in crisis. They were attacked with their homestead and family in shambles. Raegan, Ronan, Destiny, and some of their younger siblings have been taken captive by this horrible group and are trekking through the Alaskan wild. Ryder, Wild, and Rowdy are trying to catch up to the group and save their siblings.

Ryder has a deeper love for both Raegan and Ronan. He had some sexy times with both of his siblings in the previous book and desperately wanted to save and reunite with them. Ronan and Raegan go through hell with their captors and become even closer.

This book was extremely intense, and I couldn't put it down. I read it in one day and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I don't know how K Webster does it, but she has me believing and rooting for these siblings to be together. I truly felt they were meant for eachother. The sex scenes were spicy and emotional once they fully came together.

The last half of the book revolved around their taboo relationship and coming to terms with their feelings. Ronan had to struggle with the severe trauma he experienced from his captor, and he had major PTSD. It is very hard to read but realistic when dealing with the effects of sexual assault. I loved how Raegan and Ryder both tried to help him through his trauma.

I love this family, and I was excited to learn more about Rowdy. I'm happy that K Webster confirmed she will continue with other family members. I'm hoping Rowdy's book will be next.

Let me warn you that this book was way darker than the last book. It is very dark and hard to read for the first 50 - 60%. Please make sure you check your triggers. Some are listed below.

TW: Sexual assault and rape on page, physical violence, captive, murder, forced "wife," PTSD, trauma, death of a baby.

Thank you to Unalive Promotions for providing the ARC.
