Welcome to Luxiria, where the twin suns are hot and the alien warriors are hotter…
After a dark relationship in her past, Crystal Lee avoids men like the plague, especially dominant, physically strong, overbearing ones—everything that reminds her of her ex. So, it's just her luck that she's stuck on a planet surrounded by them. Only they're not men. They're massive, battle-worn alien warriors. And when one steals her from the safety of her new home, into the wild lands of Luxiria, she never expects him to come to her rescue.
Ambassador Cruxan likes two things: a plethora of females warming his furs and a good, satisfying fight at the training pits. As the leader of the roughest outpost on Luxiria, he's known for fixing messy situations, for getting the hard jobs done. So, when the Prime Leader tasks him with tracking and retrieving a human female, he does it, no questions asked. There's only one problem: that human female turns out to be his fated mate, a fated mate he never thought he wanted.
When they're both stranded together in the wild lands, days away from civilization, Crystal quickly realizes that she needs to keep her distance from the devastatingly passionate and handsome male. But Cruxan awakens desires she’s long thought dead...and soon, she fears that he has the power to break her heart if she's not careful with it.

The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️ Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏 Character development: 😠😚😁☺️ Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration Type: Duet Narration
The heroine:Crystal - she still has PTSD from her last relationship which ended five years ago, so after she was abducted by aliens who were going to give them away as prizes in a gladiator ring, then being rescued by the Luxirians, she wants to stay as far away from the males as she can and just wait until they can return her home. Crystal likes to draw and sketch which helps her with her anxiety, especially after nightmares about her ex-boyfriend.
The Hero:Cruxan - One of the ambassador’s of Luxiria, he is one of the Prime Leaders trusted men who overlooks the roughest outpost on the outer reaches of Luxirian territory. He is a bit of a playboy with the ladies and loves a good fight. He is the one the Prime Leader Vaxa’an trusts to resolve situations like finding the huge Luxirian crystal after it was stolen (it was the only fuel source capable of traveling to Earth to return the females home.
The Story: When Crystal and Erin are stolen from the apartment where they were kept since being rescued, Vaxa’an tasks Cruxan with retrieving the women. Since Cruxan’s sire betrayed their race, Cruxan has been trying to make amends for his fathers actions and has since become the fixer and one of Vaxa’an’s most trusted ambassador’s. So he goes after the women and finds Crystal whom he immediately discovers is his fated mate.
I read the last book in the series before this one, so I already knew the story of Jaxor’an and Erin, and knew that Cruxan had found Crystal soon after Jaxor had taken the two women, but I was waiting for this book to find out more of the story. I liked the fact that they ended up having to hike back after Jaxor stole Cruxan’s hovercraft. I wasn’t too fond of the past abuse storyline, but overall this was a good book and I liked the journey.
This book was told in dual points of view via duet narration, and was narrated by Sierra Grace and Tristan Josiah. I like both of these narrators and the fact that it is done in duet narration, where the male does all the male voices and the female does all the female no matter whose POV the chapter is told from, makes it all the better.
It feels…easy to have a fated mate erase your behavior. Cruxan is a whore (I say this with love), but when his Instinct is triggered by Crystal, those days are instantly behind him. It’s a sweet notion, and I know if he were to still entertain thoughts of other women, I’d be fuming; however, the personality change is so sudden that it feels unearned. I get they know that’s his mate, but I wish he had a chance to like her before knowing he loves her.
This isn’t my only problem with the Instinct. The idea that a mate cannot live without the other one is presented as romantic, but it feels manipulative. The Luxirian warriors try to avoid using it in such a way, but it’s still present in their thoughts and explanations.
This book has the best justification for why the heroine is resisting the mate bond. Crystal is still healing from an abusive relationship, and Cruxon has characteristics that remind her of her ex-boyfriend. I appreciated that Cruxon gave Crystal time to work it through, and I did feel their connection was genuine. With less of a focus on their sexual attraction (it’s still there—do not mention the Viagra flower to me), we get to see them express their feelings toward each other in more subtle ways like
For as much as I like them, this couple was completely overshadowed by Erin & Jaxor’an. The whole time I was reading this book, I wanted to be reading that book, so my excitement going into the next one is high.
Welp... it was bound to happen at some point in this series I guess.
Books 1-6, I loved. Gave them all 5 🌟 But this one? Let's just say that Cruxan(Hero), was the only reason this book got 3 🌟 from me..
Crystal, who I've dubbed "Chicken Head" was a disaster for this story. She worked my last nerve through this ENTIRE BOOK! 😠
Also these two do not seal the deal so to speak, until the 90% mark of the book 📙 and even then your long awaited "Red Light Special" is brief. Because HELLO! You're at the end of the book! Pay off for all that you suffer here, does not appease.
Now, Cruxan, I love him. Very honorable and capable male. Beauty for the eyes to behold as well.. The world, I will always love too, it's beautiful there.. But I can't help but believe this book was just here to pave the way for another Warrior, who has a Biblical connection to the Prime Leader of their Species..
So if I were you, once you read the first 6 books in this series, pick this book 7 up on KU, and only read the first 6 chapters, then return it, and move on to the final book, book 8. TRUST ME.. You DO NOT want to suffer through this pointless madness that should be called "The Chicken Head Chronicles" instead.. Cause let me tell you, this title of this book, there is no seductions going on whatsoever here.... Chapters 1-6 is all you'll need in this story, in order to move onto the final book.
You're welcome..😇
I would recommend books 1-6, and the first 6 chapters of book 7.. ✌️
This was definitely a 3 star read but this is the first book that I haven't wanted to throw across the room and it also saved me from a reading slump so it deserves my gratitude.
Shoutout to Sara for telling me to read some alien spice before I lost my mind 😭
Lectura lenta, repetitiva y con una heroína insoportable!
Alien's seduction de Zoe Draven libro 7 serie Warriors of Luxiria
Me agotó Crystal!
Packed waaay more emotional punch than I was expecting. Practically a slow burn, but also insta love with the fated mates business. Some stranded in the wilderness survival stuff that I like 👌 somehow a VERY alpha male, but also very not misogynistic. 🤷🏻♀️ that’s some good writing! Heroine went through some shit in the past, you both want to be sympathetic and hug her, but also you want to shake her in frustration.
I read the last book in a series first again 🤦🏻♀️ but luckily this was so well written I didn’t feel lost. And I probably should’ve with missing all the world building from the first books.
Unfortunately, this was my least favorite of the series so far. This story is about Crystal and Cruxan. There will be spoilerish content to justify rating. Simply put, it’s BORING.
Her and Erin are snatched from their room and then get separated when Cruxan tracks them down. Insert several days of camping and making their way to the next outpost for help. There is no intercourse until after the 90% mark of the book. They also do not perform their bonding ceremony with the Fates in this book, but it is said they will. That really was okay with me because it's basically been done in all the others and I'm over reading that repetitive scene. Crystal was cold, shy and frankly mean by hurting Cruxan’s feelings for a good 90% of the book. She had a bad relationship over five years ago on Earth, her only relationship she's had. And was still hung up on that assuming all men were the same. So even though she felt the connection to Cruxan, she kept turning him away! He couldn’t understand it and she even admitted she could tell he was hurting. Insert time for him to return to his home. He asks her to go, she says no. That she wishes to return to earth because she has a sister left who is married. UGH! This was just straight up TSTL on this heroine. She has a fate handed to her mate and she wants to leave him to go be alone by herself on earth so she can draw and because she has a sister? What? The sister is married with her own life. Someone needed to slap sense into crystal. Beks very gently tries to tell Crystal this. Why do none of these women have a backbone to help them when it’s needed? I just kept thinking she should write a letter to send home with Bianca and explain to her sister. And sure enough that does happen. But this story felt forced and like the air had been taken out of this series sails. Basically something had to come about for Crystal, so something was just tossed together. Now the story with Erin is the one I want to read! It might be the last for this series, or perhaps after Erin’s new earth women will be introduced after Bianca is taken to earth. And that I would like to see. Can we get a story in this series where to heroine actually wants and doesn’t fight and therefore hurt the hero’s feelings? Looking forward to more in this series.
I don’t think I could hate Crystal more if I tried! I have a deep loathing for her that I cannot express in words. She is just the worst. I kept waiting for her to stop being so whiny and annoying, but it never happened. I was so looking forward to Cruxan’s story! He was so charming and such a playboy in the other books. I really wanted him to be matched up with a strong female character who would bring him to his knees. Instead he gets a dull dud.
This is easily worst book of this series. For once I want this series to have a strong, fierce, female character, but no... Crystal is a mousy, shrinking violet that is scared of her own shadow. She has one very bad physically abusive relationship in the past which results in her pushing everyone away. Despite the fact that Cruxan shows her over and over again that he’s different, she’s just so hung up on the past that she’s just a frigid bitch for basically the whole book. They don’t even kiss until 70% into the book and then when they finally do, she decides to push him away and return to earth. Then she mopes around and cries and cries (there’s a lot of crying in this book) and chases after him. Then they finally have sex in the very last chapter. Then the book just kind of ends. It was honestly so hard to finish this book. I don’t understand the 4 star review!
I really like Erin and I have such high hopes for her and Jaxor’an, hopefully their book is better and makes up for this one.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
So Ive been meaning to get back to this series for a while now and now that I have I’m kind of bummed. The book overall wasn’t anything special, nor anything the series hasn’t basically covered already which was kind of boring. The hero and heroine also didn’t really have chemistry, just his mating instinct going haywire. Personal preference but it didn’t help when we first meet the hero he’s returning from a long night of banging one of his many friends with benefits and reminiscing about it. The same day he meets the heroine and is immediately hers even with his past and even though she has a lot of emotional baggage. The two are more like water and oil so I never really felt the mating become Real or turn into love if you get my drift. I’m guessing Erin will have a book after this because we are led to believe the hunt for the crystal needed to return home is underfoot. Erin’s story should be more exciting given her mate kidnapped her and originally planned to sell her to a sketchy group of individuals on the planet, for what purpose time will tell. Either way sounds like he’ll have a bit more trouble winning her over and I’m looking forward to it.
I'm in love with the hero, he is perfect!. My rating is based solely on him because I didn't liked the heroine. Her personality and overall her actions towards the hero where a no for me.
This might be my favorite in the series. Lots of feels between Crystal and Cruxan. He's a warrior playboy. She's an emotionally fragile survivor. The story made my heart clench for them.
This is Crystal and Cruxan’s story, with a strong, grumpy Ambassador, and action, which is a nice distraction from normal life for a few hours, especially if it is Zoey Draven. Her writing style is easy and inviting.
The Alien's Seduction is the seventh book in the Warriors of Luxiria series. It is a quick read with lots of steam and spice. I don't mind reading these books, alpha, aliens, human, fated mates, insta love tropes, because they are sci-fi, and anything goes.
Re-reading this series again because apparently I didn't leave a review the first time.
I do not like man sluts. I’M SORRY! But I do not. And when the hero Cruxan was with another female the morning he met Crystal and then admits he takes a new partner basically every day… and accidentally alludes to his flirtations and activities with Crystal… I was just like: ick.
I did wind up liking the story, though I was confused at the random placement of “another woman” (no cheating) right at the very end.
CW: past domestic violence - emotional, physical, sexual abuse
Ohh this was a good one! Crystal and Cruxan were so sweet!
The gist: Crystal and Erin were kidnapped and Cruxan is sent to track and retrieve them. Once he finds them, he realizes that Crystal is his mate. He and Crystal must journey together to try and get Erin back from her captor. (I did find myself struggling upfront to focus on Crystal and Cruxan because I am so invested in Erin and Jaxor already)
Crystal is dealing with a lot of past trauma from an abusive relationship (TWs for mentions of past verbal, emotional, physical and sexual abuse). She is still weary of men and does not want this undeniable draw she feels towards Cruxan to go anywhere.
Cruxan is a ladies man (even amongst the Luxirians) and he has no idea how to interact with a female if it isn't sexual. It was so sweet watching him gape and struggle to interact with Crystal upfront since she wanted nothing to do with him.
This one was definitely more of a slow burn and I loved the patience and understanding that Cruxan has with Crystal. He never pushes her for more and everything is completely up to her. (And honestly, Cruxan is probably the only male out of the bunch that would have respected Crystal's choice to return to Earth. So major points for him.)
I also appreciated the Beks and Lihvan cameos. I love those two and they clearly love their friends and only want happiness for them.
The premise was good, but the circular plot was aggravating. There were a lot of great elements in this story, but I honestly struggled to finish it. I mean, the hero was a cool guy, deserving of love and made the change, accepted that his Instinct had recognized his mate. There were some good scenes like at the beginning when Erin got abducted, but then it just wallows. My problem was with the heroine, Crystal. I mean, I understand that she had a rough past, but got tired of reading about the same things repeatedly. When a good guy showed himself to her, she threw up all kinds of tests for him, but it was still not enough. I don't know if I'm spoiling the story for someone else, but, it took me forever to read through this, and I normally love the work from this author. I think the alien women, the native women, need more attention, more respect, it's like they don't deserve any love because they can't reproduce and thereby have to step aside when the earth girls prove fertile and trigger someone's instinct. I think there is room for improvement for this book, I just wish it was not so depressing and repetitive.
Ms Draven gifts us with another sweet love story while continuing the underlying thread through this series This one is a bit of a tear jerker for anyone who has been abused.
I have skipped around in this series bc some of the content is just not for me. I know what you’re thinking….. “this bitch is reading alien smut… why is she being picky???” The point of these reads is to be TRANSPORTED, ladies - I don’t have TIME to be emo rn. THATS THE POINT OF READING THESE, I’m trying to BLUSH & GIGGLE & KICK MY FEET OKAY. With that being said…. the FMC had a depressing backstory & frankly, was pissing me off; HOWEVER, she made a comeback (it also helped that her mans was so FINE & NICE & BIG & STRONG hehehehehe)
These books get better with each one I read! Crystal and Cruxan have my whole heart - nothing bad is ever allowed to happen to either one of them.
Loved getting to revisit some of the couples from previous books, and we’re FINALLY addressing plot left over from book one - so excited for the next couple!
The heroine here is the most multifaceted and believable of the heroines in this series. As well, this is the first book in the series where the heroine has to legitimately choose the hero and in doing so, give up important parts of her life. Made for a much better story. Far less smut than the first 6 books, but far more feeling.
3.5 stars✨ This was one of the more emotional books in the series if not the most because of the fmc past. Tbh I thought Crystals book was gonna be boring from past books but it wasn’t that bad. Definitely not a favorite tho.
I’ve really come to enjoy Ms. Draven’s ‘verse even if the stories are very romance-focused and don’t delve too deeply into the worldbuilding. This was just ok because I was turned off by the hero’s history of sleeping with a lot of females, but to be fair he turned around real quick after he sees the heroine. But if you like very romance focused SFR you may enjoy this.
