George Pérez (June 9, 1954 – May 6, 2022) was an American comic books artist and writer, known for his work on various titles, including Avengers, Teen Titans and Wonder Woman.
11/9/2018 i think too much narration is helping this superman title build up for a good story instead of action comics which didn't build up for any story and was absolutely terrible. still loving this story and it looks like the whole volume will only tell this story and not stray from the path like what used to happen in action comics .
The story begins to find focus as the alien menace expands — now it’s absorbing energy, growing sentient, and testing Superman’s limits. The issue does a better job balancing action and mystery, though Pérez still can’t resist layering in too much commentary.
We see glimpses of Clark’s vulnerability, particularly in his fear that he may be causing as much destruction as he prevents. Unfortunately, the pacing remains uneven — intense action scenes are followed by long info dumps that stall momentum.
Verdict: Shows signs of life — engaging in bursts, but unfocused overall.
¡Muy buena idea meter a Superman en aprietos en ese congelado asunto! Pérez llevaba a Superman al lado de Morrison en aquel entonces, y sin duda supo cómo ponerse a la altura.
