Single women weren't permitted to live in the charter town of McTavish Plain, in the North Dakota Territory. So the three Green sisters invented husbands! But Addie, Charlotte, and Mattie never reckoned on the loves that awaited them in the wild West.
He Was Supposed To Be Behind Bars...Not In Her Bed!
A successful dressmaker, Lottie has no desire to follow her sisters down the aisle. So she steals her "husband" from a wanted poster...only to have the real Shayne Rosswarne, alias Colorado Jack, saunter into her shop and kiss her senseless! Shayne doesn't know what game his delicious little "wife" is playing, but if he plays his cards right, she'll lead him straight to the man who sent him to prison, a man who just happens to be Lottie's brother-in-law. A taste of seduction will make his revenge all the sweeter...if he can just remember to leave falling in love out of the plan.
This book was awful. I'm sorry but it was. I thought Shayne, the protagonist, was such a sexy man...but he's an a**hole. It honestly started off wonderful! Shayne comes in and kisses the wits right out of Lottie. It made my heart melt. And then before you know it the next big thing that happens is Lottie just gives herself to him not even halfway through the book and the next day she tells him that the man he's looking for to exact his revenge is her brother-in-law and he hates her because of this. However, he still wants to have sex with her, so he comes up with a deal, but its more like blackmail. He promises not to tell the entire town that she wasn't married and promises to give her brother-in-law a duel if she'll keep sleeping with him, telling her she likes it. Can you say disgusting?!!!!! Granted this is Lottie so in the end she did like it, but who the heck would want to be forced into it?!!! I quit at this point, and it's only page 118 out of 314.

Book 3 of the bogus bride series. I liked that this book had a different setting than the first two in the series. Lottie is definitely the most spirited of the three sisters and her rustler husband is nothing short of a sweet piece of man candy.
This came in a close second to Mattie and the black smith. Lottie makes you believe that with enough tenacity you can do anything. It was great to see her finally feel 'at home' with a man and know she'd met her match! :)
