Cute illustrations

I enjoyed the monsters and how detailed their designs were. I also really liked how the emotions were expressed as well as giving advice on how to accept the emotional feelings. It's very age appropriate for children.
The monsters are a page of so they appear before the color and character is described while the next monster is on the previous descriptions page. Simple formatting issue otherwise definitely recommend.

This book is perfect for early childhood students. It teaches them that expressing emotions is okay and how to regulate these emotions and be able to identify them. It sparks conversations about what emotions they have felt before and times when they have felt these emotions. That way, if in the classroom the teacher asks a student how they are feeling, they are able to identify that emotion and find out what the issue is and how to fix it.

I love this bar and it’s great because of the feeling and the regulation of how they can calm down and I love the book also because it talks all about the feelings including love anxious and worried all that stuff and it tells you that if you’re feeling one of these emotions you do you know how to calm yourself down. You can feel the same way and it helps to be able to feel better

Chosen by a 4 year old

Was putting my 4 year old son to sleep, told him though before we go to sleep let’s pick a book to read and he was excited to see monsters on the cover and chose this one to read. Over all it was a great read! Teaching toddlers that feelings are ok to have and feel can be a bit hard to explain but you did a great job expressing what each feeling was. My toddler loved this good read!

Having feelings being represented by little monsters really helps children break down the basics of feelings they might not be entirely familiar with and how to help manage these feelings. Children often times need a simpler way to understand complex things, so having a book that breaks down feelings is very helpful to many kids.

While I was reading "The Feelings Monsters" by Emily Hartmann. I think this book is geared more towards age 5-8 instead of ages 3-5 because not very many 3 years olds are going to be able to look at the different color monster, and be able identify what it stands for. The book would be better for age 5-8 instead of age 3-5. Overall the book was a good read though!

My first grader’s favorite.

My son loves this book and is a regular night time story. It show him that feelings are not a bad thing. I love listening to him tell me his version of what happens to him in those emotions and list back the ways he can change his feelings.
