Rax left Melaxia to scout the galaxy for compatible females, but he didn’t expect to crash into the most appealing female he's ever seen. Martha has been living in the same farmhouse for thirty years, and she wishes for a sign about what she should do with her life now. When a fireball from the sky threatens to consume her hayfield in flames, she goes to investigate… only to discover a lavender man with a French tickler between his legs. Can the woman from Two-Circle, Texas and the horny extraterrestrial find a way to make love work?
A nice short story about an alien crashing on earth and finding a compatible mate. I liked Rax but didn’t really connect to Martha. It might be because she was older, like grandma status. It just didn’t work for me with Rax suppose to be hundreds of years old but looked really young. The use of “boy” every time when she spoke to him didn’t help either. It was an okay read, and I would probably try another book by this author.
I loved it. Don’t stop Martha, get it, get it! What middle aged female doesn’t want an alien hottie to crash in her backyard? Martha was in for the time of her life serving the hottie her cookies..
The fMC's age is hammered into the reader's head over and over. She call's herself a GILF. I don't think the author is aware that's a derogatory term and not a compliment. She's constantly calling him "boy", and that was weird.
You know, I almost have this feeling there’s something wrong with a woman having certain desires later in life (at least according to some). I absolutely hate acronyms like MILF, GILF or even terms like cougar. I find them so derogatory and notice they’re all directed at women (yes, I know there are also DILFs, but you hardly ever see that in print, more likely to be silver foxes). So, why harp on about Martha’s age again and again. She’s obviously a sexy woman and Rax finds her attractive, let’s leave it at that. In fact, she’s not even an older woman since Rax is four hundred and three!
