Since then, E.M. has published several books, created comics for anthologies, and provided illustrations for other works. E.M. has won several awards, including an Ignatz and two Eisners. They are married to fellow Canadian artist, Kate Craig.

Another knock-out nightmare of body horror from Emily Carroll. This 16-page graphic novel can be read for free on the author’s website. It is a “fan comic” exploring two characters from the video game Bloodborne (2015). I’ve never played the game, but still highly enjoyed Writhe. I would recommend reading anything by Emily Carroll in the spooky season of October.

I fed my current frenzy for Emily Carroll with this free ebook available trough her site here. It is a self-styled "fancomic" based on the videogame Bloodborne, and will probably only make sense to those familiar with the narrative, since as usual Carroll dials up the horror but leaves much unsaid. It is, however, an occasion to feast on yet another permutation of her style, reaching for the occasion a Lovecraftian level of gore. This girl can do no wrong.
I have never in my life played Bloodborne but I did spend most of an afternoon reading about it so I could understand this graphic novel/short story better and like. Yes I will continue to support Emily Carroll forever I think
