It's almost Yule, and Shayla, Needles, and Zoie are hard at work preparing for the winter solstice and making sure Zoie is packed and ready to leave for PADA headquarters for the next six months. But when the three stumble over a dead body under the town's Yule tree in the park, they have to add another task to their already growing list of things to do--find out who murdered the leprechaun Liam Luckmore. With plenty of suspects to choose from, it doesn't take long before Shayla and Alex find themselves knee-deep in not only snow, but trouble. Good thing Zoie, Finn, Needles, and Harlow are in the lab working overtime. Can this dynamic team solve the murder before the town celebrates the winter solstice? Or will Zoie need to put off heading to PADA headquarters a little longer?

Deadly Yule is Book 20 in the Witch in the Woods series by Jenna St. James. I can't believe this is the 20th book, this is one of the most amazing series I have ever read and I am always so excited when a new story comes out.
The author writes the paranormal cozy mystery genre with such creativity. I love all the different paranormal creatures and the focus on family in Enchanted Island.
It is Yule time and Shayla, Zoie, and my favorite Needles is getting ready. Zoie is getting ready to leave for PADA when they discover a body of Liam Luckmore.
This was such a fun book; I absolutely loved it and the mystery was really good.
Another great story in one of my favorite series. Even though this is book 20, this series is always exciting. I didn't guess the killer because so many had more than enough motives. Great job by Jenna St. James. Love all the dynamics. Nice surprise with Brick and Harlow receiving a special gift from the King. Lovely time of the year setting and descriptions. I could just picture it all. Can't wait for the next one.
Another wonderful visit to Enchanted Island. I so enjoy spending time with these characters and wish I could really visit them in person. Ms. St. James has fully developed each of them now and I feel like I'm visiting old friends as I join Shayla and Alex to search for clues and solve the murders. A swiftly paced plot with enough twists and a limited suspect pool that kept me guessing until the end.
Strong, enjoyable series. Zoie and team are starting to have a more active role in investigations and day to day work. As usual, the murderer is not totally obvious and there is some action in the take-down. I think the "extra" issue with Shayla could have had a bit more tension to it. It was sort of a "one more thing" instead of a real issue. I continue to look forward to these books. Thank you!
What a head spinning mystery! A suspect with motive for murder is so long! Totally unsolvable by the reader. Action packed, funny parts where you laugh. I felt as if I were on the Island with the visual images Ms. Jenna is expert at. The yule time is saved by Shayla and Black Forest King, as always is filled with surprises. Jenna St James has a skill to weave this gripping series! Do not Miss!
This is a favorite series. The mystery is very clever, the characters are wonderfully real and there are humorous elements. I especially like the characters interactions, the warm family relationships and caring friendships.
This book was so interesting and entertaining!! I love this author's imagination. The storyline is rich with the love of plants and animals it would be so wonderful if someone really could heal the Earth like that!
The gang's all here to help Alex & Shayla solve the mystery of who harmed the leprechaun Liam! Was it his old roommate from college, his ex-wife, or his current girlfriend? Has Gigi set a date to marry Byron? Is Shayla expecting a little bundle of joy? Read now to find out!
I love how the King of the Black Forest embraces the family and loved ones of the daughter of his heart. His kindness continues to be showcased. A mystery at Yule time keeps Shayla and the group extra busy. This book was filled with tradition and surprises.
