Kevin S. Giles, a Montana native, wrote the popular prison memoir “Jerry’s Riot,” the coming-of-age novel “Summer of the Black Chevy,” and a biography of first US congresswoman Jeannette Rankin, “One Woman Against War,” which is an expanded edition of his earlier work, “Flight of the Dove.” His new novel, “Mystery of the Purple Roses,” is the first in his Red Maguire series. "Masks, Mayhem and Murder" is his second Red Maguire mystery novel.

Wow!

The history, toughness and passion of Butte comes alive again in Book 3 of Red's adventures. Mr. Gile's characters jump off every page and connect with the reader from beginning to end. Page turner from the beginning on who done it and I never figure it out until Red tells me at the end of every book. Can't wait to see what mystery Red and his Butte crime fighters solve next!

Another great book! Kevin Giles technique Is very personable I felt as though I was solving crimes with Red Maguire. I was immediately transported to the mining town of Butte, Montana in the 50s. Drenched in history. Packed with secrets, scandals and danger. The best book of the series, can’t wait to read the next!!!

Exciting!

I was hooked on Red Maguire from the first two books and this book did not disappoint!! Great mystery and twists of the story in just the right places!!! Wonderful
