Where do we turn when we face the fears in our lives?

Health problems, relationship struggles, threats from the world, financial difficulties. Our list could go on for miles. Where is our comfort when we are overwhelmed? Where do we put our trust when nothing seems stable?

God reminds us that we can put our trust in him. After all, he is the one who tells us, “Do not be afraid, for I am your God.” It’s why, in the Bible, he speaks words of encouragement to his people—to us—over and over again.

“Do Not be Afraid” points us back to God’s promises and gives us the hope we need in a world filled with fear. Let’s explore our fears together, but always with the sure and certain comfort, “Do not be afraid, for I am your God.”

This book is for you and for me. The comfort of God's word and to know you are not alone.
Josh Bodden has written a brilliant theological book. He tells us in the first chapter that he wrote the book for himself and for us. We learn a lot about Josh and his fears and worries as a husband and father of four delightful children. He breaks the book into sections giving us a Bible verse and an explanation as to how the people in the Bible handled the situation. Then, he applies it to his life. We as the readers, have the opportunity to personally apply it to our lives. This book is for everyone who needs a reminder that God's loving hand catches us and keeps us safe as we face the problems of this world. It is for all of us who need the peace and strength that only His Word can give.

Josh has written a wonderful book which I recommend to everyone. I received this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.

This wonderful. book Josh Bodden has humbly written for all of those of us who have or have had just such thoughts. In this book Josh beautifully & clearly writes all the answers to these questions.
He speaks of the wonderful eternal promises God gave to Abraham and to each of us. He teaches of the comfort Gods words give us and how if we pray and ask for His help God will let us feel this comfort through the Holy Spirit,
Josh gives many stories so we can easily understand his teachings and writing. To me he writes modern day stories like God does in the Bible with His teaching & stories.
My favorite is his story in this book about Mary & Joseph. It’s so tender, I cried all they way through this chapter.
If you only ever buy one book in your life, you must read this one, it can truly change your life,

This is a very good book! I don't read a lot of non-fiction. However, this book is definitely worth a read!! No matter what life may throw at you, God is always there for you. In this book, the author gives you examples of Bible people and his own experiences, and shows you how God is and always will be with you. All you need to do is hand on tight to Him and He'll get you through!

Although I didn’t consider this book a “study” book at the beginning, it quickly turned into one! I took multiple pages of scripture notes to reflect on later. There were a few tears, and some laughter as well. This book will take you deep into the scriptures without you even realizing it. It is very well written, easy to understand, and keeps your interest. I guess that why o couldn’t put it down!

This book really spoke to me! The author used great references to Scripture to show us that others were afraid and how God was with them. He breaks the chapters down into common fears and then leads you in with Scripture and references to help. I needed this book as there has been many things happening in my life for several years that. Have left me feeling afraid and alone. I know that I will be referring to this book often

Do not be afraid from Josh Bodden is a Christian faith edifying book. It takes you on a journey through the Bible and makes you reflect on some of the situations that may arise in your life. It also makes you look at some Bible verses from a completely different angle. The book helps you build up your faith and dwell on what your own faith means and overcome the things you struggle with.

What an encouraging, uplifting book! One can hear the Spirit speaking through the words of the author as scripture, life’s experiences and admonition to always look to the One Who wraps you in His loving arms, dispelling fear and worry. The reader knows without a doubt each word is divinely inspired, reminding him or her there is victory in trusting the God Who never leaves us or forsakes us!

I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. This book was both encouraging and comforting. It contains many Bible references and examples. It applies to everyone and is well worth reading. It’s very down to earth and easy to follow and think about the content.

We all struggle with fear of some kind. I like this book because it addresses so many different ones and shows us how God is so much greater than all fear. Very well done!
