This rating is for my husband, who read the book and answered endless questions from his daughters who apparently have become huge Star Wars fans. WHY!? Lots of facts...not a story.

I love Star Wars but I'm tired of reading these to my kid. He's obsessed. But he knows the difference between Tatooine and Jakku so, great?

Even as a Star Wars fan I found this one to be a snooze of a read. There is no narrative, it is basically an encyclopedia but in no discernable order. The book does include photographs from all of the films in the Star Wars franchise so that will help engage some readers.

The format of this is like an encyclopedia for beginners, focused on planets and environments from the Star Wars world. M loved it.

I think for a kid who is reading, it would be on the more advanced end of the "level 2" spectrum, simply because of the amount of info on each page.

This book introduces children to the many worlds in the complicated Star Wars Universe using both concept art and still frames from the movies. It does a good job of showing different climates and races. I think it would be useful to help children solidify the concepts of the varied worlds. However, it mixes worlds from the original trilogy, new trilogy, and Star Wars books which makes it hard for those of us who like to deny that episodes 1-3 were ever made.

This is precisely what you would expect it to be--a book with a general overview of each of the main planets featured in the Star Wars films. It's written for a level of readership where they are capable of reading on their own, with maybe just a little help. There were some good complex words thrown in just to stir up the young brain a bit.

And obviously I love all the bits about the different planets. Short and sweet, it shows just a snapshot of what each different planet has to offer.

I'm not a big Star Wars fan necessarily but my 3 year old has suddenly discovered them so we are reading lots of books lately. This is a fun book with shots from the movie. The Ewoks have always been my favorite; I think they are so cute!
