These two… Grayson Black is the definition of an alphahole. And Zoe is a spoiled brat. They are oil and water, but watching them be drawn to one another despite their hatred is hot AF. It’s clear there is more going on with the club than meets the eye. I feel like I have an idea of who is behind the treachery and I can’t wait to see if I’m right!

Tempted by a King by B. Lybaek and Sarah J.D. is a dark MC contemporary romance. This is the first book in The Cruz Kings MC series.

I absolutely loved the Scandalous Secrets series and was so excited when they announced this spinoff series. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen the next. The chemistry between Grayson and Zoe is off the charts. But they are like fire and gasoline and completely toxic. I can't wait to see how their relationship will progress over the course of the series.

The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series Wanted by a King to be announced.

I would highly recommend this book if you like dark romances, MC romances, or contemporary romances.

Full Throttle is what comes to mind when thinking about this book. From the beginning, it's all about Grayson and Zoe. Kinky bastards... LOL

Zoe's dad is the new MC accountant, and Grayson and his best friend are keeping an extra eye on him. They get more than an eye full of Zoe. With the club being double-crossed, Zoe is being kept until the money taken from the club is returned.

This book not only has an interesting story but the kinks, hot damn! It's twisted, dark and spell-tingling, - what a page-turner!

Grayson got on my nerves a few times because why can't an a*hole just admit his feelings? Zoe, poor Zoe. I wished she got a backbone sooner; it would have made things a bit more interesting.

This book was absolutely amazing! Grayson and Zoe have so much chemistry whether she wants to admit it or not! I can’t wait until the next book to find out what happens!

I’m a little concerned about what part Gunner is playing in the overall deception… with The Reapers, with Zoe? But I can’t wait to find out!

She looks like a goddess splayed out before me, and fuck I want to taint her so badly I’m almost shaking with the desire.

Tempted by a King was a stay-up-late, one-sitting read that wrecked my world. I don’t know if I have ever wanted to jump through the pages and strangle the two main characters more than I did while reading this book. I was so invested that there were several times I took great offense to their actions and wanted to hit them with a “WTF were you thinking?!” So, well done, B. Lybaek and Sarah J.D.! You got me hooked!

The angst is high, with that crushing feeling in your chest and twisting in your stomach almost the entire time. This is not a love story. It is dark and twisted throughout.

The MMC might have started out morally grey and a hot alphahole, but by the end of this book, his soul was black. I cannot wait for his redemption arc, if one is even possible. Maybe we saw his true nature in the end.

This is fast burn and high spice. Coercion colors almost every interaction. The sexual chemistry between Grayson and Zoe is volatile, well outside the bounds of safe and vanilla. Their relationship is toxic, but their bodies work so well together.

We are warned from the beginning that the cliffhanger is brutal, and holy hell, that was no lie. If there were a way to force the authors to write faster, so we could get book two sooner, I would do everything in my power to make it happen.

I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway. I liked this book. I couldn't put it down. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it sounded so much like my ex and his friends it freaked me out! (Similarities at the end of the review) The main character Grayson Black must be a narcissistic psychopath suffering from Borderline personality disorder. I say this because of the way he treats his Love Interest that he nicknames princess. After their accountant for their motorcycle club steals all their money. They kidnap and hold his oldest daughter against her will, trying to get their money back from her father. The father then doesn't save her and leaves her to the hands of these bikers. They in my opinion make her life a living hell. Except for the screwed up love, hate relationship that her and Grayson have. The bedroom scenes are steamy and kinky. The book is well written with a different story line but it is very good. It ends in a cliffhanger so it makes you want to read the next edition in the series. Which I just might. Similarities to me are below:
Grayson Black =my ex husband Jason Black who both have the same attitude and treatment of their women.
Gunner = JB friend Fletcher who was a good friend to me.
G in texting remind me of our friend Gerb we called him G.
All the above are kinky sex fiends and swingers.
Mama C (Cara) = Me Carla same take no shit attitude.
Dante = JB's friend Andre
Motorcycles = Muscle cars (MC)
Cruz Kings = their title Redneck Mafia
Jason Black I had to get a protective order for because of his temper and abuse.
So to the authors I'd really like to know where your storyline developed from. But it is a good book and a must read.

My-flaming-god this book..................(((jaw drops))) I literally have no words!!!

Well they definitely say that opposites attract and my word do Zoe & Grayson so that big time! They couldn't be more polar opposites when the book starts with Privileged rich girl - Zoe hating the cocky VP of the Cruz Kings MC - Grayson. Which he takes great pleasure in winding her up constantly. Loving the friction that he causes both in and out of the bedroom. What they both had was explosive but as the book progressed it turned into something darker that they both were forced into by circumstances other people influenced. Zoe & Grayson had a love/hate relationship that continued throughout the book that ending with a jaw dropping cliff-hanger. Things between them had broken down so much that I wasn't sure what would happen next?? It certainly wasn't that that for sure. An epic read.

Oh my gosh, this book was absolutely everything I hoped it would be and more! I absolutely devoured this book in less than 14 hours because I literally could not put it down! The cliffhanger that this book ends on is an absolute masterpiece that leaves readers begging for the next book as soon as they put this one down. Grayson is an absolute prick and there were several times I wished I could reach through the pages and snack some sense into him, but all things considered I am absolutely rooting for him and Zoe. 10/10, absolutely cannot wait to see what the dynamic duo of these two authors has in store for us in the next book in the series!

Well this one was a wild ride! And I loved every second of it! If you like it dark, extremely smutty, with an great storyline, this is the book you need to read.

The tension between Grayson and Zoe has been put on page in an amazing way. I enjoyed reading from both POV, I always think that is an pluspoint to a story. More POV to read from. And oh myy, I loved how dark Grayson was. He was something else! 

The things Zoe has gotten through throughout the story was so much. She fell from one thing into the other. I really felt for her and was hoping for a break and some love. 

This book was amazingly written, it was fast past and I couldn't stop reading. With every twist and turn I wanted more. And that cliffhanger on the end?? Safe to say I'm looking forward to reading book 2.

Gahhh! I didn’t know there would be a cliffhanger at the end of the book, and a huge one at the end. I am devasted because I am seriously invested in Gray and Zoe’s relationship. At the beginning, I found Zoe annoying and not so likable but as the story went completely twisted, I am hooked. Hooked on somnophilia, dormaphilia and all the other dubious stuff that comes with being Gray’s. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series.

I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW!

This was epic, the spice extra hot with a side of naughty and the story had me struggling to put this book down - safe to say I was HOOKED.

At this point I know that if Bibi writes it then I’m gonna read it, and when if it’s a double act with Sarah then I need it more than I need to breathe. Grayson can take my breath away any time he likes especially when he says “Princess” 🫠 - he’s a hand necklace kind of guy and I was living for it.

Now the cliffhanger…. IT WAS SO EPIC - it’s left me mad and in need for the next book ASAP which is exactly what a cliffhanger should do, so mission freaking accomplished guys!

Every part of this book had me on edge from the very first chapter, spice is a feature pretty much from the get go and it only gets better from there, add in the story including the parts that had me cursing at the man with the name Grayson Black and I’m a very happy reader actually kind of annoyed that I’m restricted to only giving this book 5 stars.

I’m recommending this book to those who like naughty spice, the kind that you shouldn’t like but always gets under your skin & if you like hot possessive MC men who make rash decisions because they don’t want to admit that she isn’t just a Princess he wants to toy with, then look no further, here you go!

Full of pulse pounding action, thrilling suspense and deliciously dark spice, this book will grab your attention from page one and have you by the throat until it's cliffhanger ending (seriously what the fuck was thaaaat!?)

Really cruel how abusive Zoe was treated.

This story was good until Zoe was taken prisoner by Grayson to pay back her father's action against The Cruz Kings. Grayson's actions just demean Zoe and didn't value her as a human being. It turned me off how this story turned to this dark disrespect towards women.

OMFG! I have never read a story that made me so freaking angry at the main male character and then at the same time so freaking HOT that I just want to climb him like a tree. I hate him, then love him, and then hate him again. Ugh, he makes me so damn frustrated that I just want to scream! Who am I talking about? Well that would be the massive alphahole, Grayson Black! As you can tell, this story had my emotions all over the place. I giggled a little at the beginning but as the story progressed, I did more yelling and screaming than anything else. There were many moments where I simply put my book down and just yelled WTF Grayson!

Okay, not only did Grayson frustrate me, but Zoe really had me on the verge of raging so hard over the stupid things she says and does. She just continually pushed and pushed Grayson until he erupted! These two are so toxic but so right for each other. Their hatred and anger would get so intense and right when they are at the edge of their anger they both explode and damn was it ever hot, ovary exploding and panting combusting!

I loved this story even though I may have cracked a few teeth from grinding them together over how angry this story made me. The characters were so well written that every emotion they went through just poured off the pages and had me feeling it all. The storyline is fantastic and filled with suspense, drama, violence, spice, and twists and turns that kept me in suspense right up until that very shocking cliffhanger of an ending!

I have some theories about certain characters and there is just something about some of them that is just not right. I can’t wait to see how the story progresses after that ending and whether I’m right or not!

B. Lybaek and Sarah JD have done it again, and I am obsessed! The first in their latest series Cruz Kings MC, Tempted By A King is one you don't wanna miss.

If I could've read this in one sitting, I would have.

After Zoe's dad starts working the new MC accountant, Grayson and Gunner keep a close eye on Zoe, in more ways than one. When the club gets thrown into chaos, Zoe is kept by the MC until the debt is repaid.

Grayson and Zoe's relationship is so unique and toxic in many ways. The spoiled princess and the MC VP. When fate throws them together, you get the nitty grity details of their relationship, and just constantly root for them.

I loved getting both of their perspectives, you really get into their thoughts and just know what both of them are feeling in those moments.

AND THAT CLIFFHANGER, I SWEARRRR.

I need the next one like NOW.

Dark and Twisted MC read! Heed those TWs if you need them.

This book has so much twisted and deviant behavior that you just can't put it down! If you love MC romance with lots of crazy twists that have you wondering what will happen next then this is one you need to grab.

Grayson Black is no hero in this story he's a very dark and morally gray character that will have you wondering why you actually like him at times lol. When thrown a bet his way to take what he wants from his newly acquired club's accountant's daughter Zoe, he finds himself doing things he can't believe he actually does. He's the VP who is dark, broody, arrogant and has the IDGAF attitude too much other than his MC brothers and his club. He's got a possessive side when it comes to Zoe even if he doesn't want to admit it.

Zoe is your typical smart, beautiful, rich girl from the wealthy side of town. She has a bit of snobbish behavior and she definitely doesn't like her dad's new clients. She finds herself pulled into a world she could never imagine being a part of when everything is lost in her life. Grayson takes so much from Zoe and she isn't sure what to do or who to trust even though she gives into the dark side of Grayson in hopes of having someone to protect her. Unfortunately for Zoe she can only run for so long before her crazy beast comes for her once again.

This book is filled with Non-con Dub-con situations and a lot more so make sure you check TW if you need it. Yes it's filled with all the things you expect from a dark MC romance but it has a lot of twists thrown in to keep you guessing what's next. The ending is a cliffhanger of epic portions to set up book two. This is a Must Read for any Dark MC readers! Get ready for a crazy, dark, spicy, and suspenseful ride in this one!

Great start to series

Where do I start with this? These are new to me authors but I’m so glad I stumbled on them and this book. The description reads like another MC dark romance but this was not your typical book by any means. The plot twist at the beginning had my jaw hanging. It does set up for the remainder of the story. I wasn’t sure whether to love or hate Grayson at times. He is 50 shades of grey with his moral compass. Definitely read trigger warnings if you have any but I loved it. He never did what I thought he would do and he always took it one step too far. I loved Zoe. She has so many innocent qualities to her but I think it has to do with her age. I can’t wait to see how she grows stronger as a FMC as the series continues. There are so many twists and turns and I have a feeling that side characters aren’t who they say they are and there is so much story to unravel. I have so many theories building in my head. Prepare yourself for the cliffy. I was not expecting it but it was oh so good!

If you are a fan of the dark, gritty twisted romance this book is absolutely it. I devoured this book; it will captivate you and pull you into its darkness and won't let you go. I am a huge fan of Sarah JD and B. Lybaek and this book was another example of the fantastic writing skills they have when it comes to the dark and twisted. Grayson is the VP of the MC, and he has been keeping a close eye on Zoe the new accountant's daughter. The princess who he can't stand. When a bet leaves him closer to her then he was before he finds himself drawn to her. He is brutal and dominant and depraved when it comes to her. She is confused as to why she loves it. Then everything changes and she loses two of the people that mean the most to her, life takes a dark and twisted turn. Her fathers' betrayals, Grayson brutality and life just makes her drown in despair and loneliness. When the final straw breaks with Grayson she runs and then we are hit with that crazy cliffhanger that will change everything. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

Oh my gosh! I had no idea what to expect when I started “tempted by a king” but it wasn’t this. This story was absolutely phenomenal.

Sarah JD & B. lybaek are new-to-me authors. I am very impressed with their story telling and I will definitely be on the look out for more of their work in the future.

“Tempted by a king” is dark and delicious. I was immediately consumed by this fantastic masterpiece. I just could not stop reading this story.

Grayson is the epitome of an alphahole, his dominance had my jaw dropping in the best way. He is the guy you live to hate and I absolutely loved him.

Zoe has had her world turned on it’s axis, I couldn’t help but feel for this woman she’s really been out through the wringer, but she also has fire and can hold her own.

Together Zoe and Grayson had intense chemistry that will have your drooling. I cannot wait to continue this series.

If you love morally gray men and dark romances then I highly suggest you pick up this fantastic story.

5⭐️This one kicks off spicy and I was instantly hooked. The dynamic between the princess and the devious bad-boy biker is chef’s kiss—sharp banter, power plays, and chemistry that crackles from page one.

I thought I had the plot figured out… I absolutely did not. The twists and turns kept coming, and I loved being completely wrong. It’s fast, tense, dramatic, and ridiculously easy to get lost in—I tore through the pages needing to know what was going to happen next.

The dub-con and enemies-to-lovers here is done exquisitely. No half-hearted “we kinda dislike each other” nonsense—these two genuinely despise each other, and that makes the tension unreal. Like, I could taste it levels of tension.

I’m thrilled this is a trilogy because I am officially obsessed with this world and not ready to leave it yet. Strap me in—I want to live here a while longer.

I couldn't read this book fast enough! I needed to know what was gonna happen next! Talk about twists and turns... I'd think one thing, and then nope, something else happens.
There was spice from the beginning, suspense, a bit of action, and much more!!
Grayson and Zoe were fire together. They are drawn to one another regardless of how toxic they can be.
I had mixed feelings about Zoe, but I quickly changed my mind. I loved her character. She has definitely been broken in this book. I think she has a lot of fight in her though and I can't wait to see her grow.
Grayson, he made me love him and hate him at times.

What a fantastic start to the series!! I have lots of questions and a few suspicions, so I can't wait to find out what happens in book 2!!! Be prepared, the ending is rough!!

This was my first time out with these authors and I've gotta say it definitely wont be the last, I absolutely loved this book, it was dark and depraved in the best ways possible
It was a great story ,grabbed me from page 1 and left me wanting more at the last page !!
Brilliantly written great characters I fell in love with Greyson Black almost immediately even though at times I wanted to hit him with my kindle really hard !!
Zoe well I loved her she had a sassy mouth on her when she needed to have but the fact they showed her vulnerable side, the fact that she could cry and even breakdown completely in certain situations made her all the more real to me

Usually when I dislike a character it ends up being the FMC and while Zoe definitely had her spoiled rich girl moments I found myself really disliking Gray. I liked the story and the writing was great. This is just a personal opinion on the character. I will definitely be reading book 2 after that cliffhanger. It was tough at times to read what him, and the whole club really, kept putting her through. Especially when she is an 18 year old girl whose whole world just keeps getting rocked over and over again. My heart broke for her when she lost her Mom and Sister and was given no time to mourn then after the funeral before being thrown to the wolves by her Father. The part in the strip club took whatever I already felt about him and made it so much worse. Looking forward to book 2 🖤
